Sale! Sale! Sale! +Free Glue Pen!!

Hello everyone! I'm sorry I haven't had anything crafty to share with you this week :( I've been doing some behind the scenes crafting bahahaha!! Next week is Peachy Keen release week and also this Saturday starts The Twelve Days of Christmas with My Creative Time! Can you say busy, busy, BUSY!!!

It's also been a emotional week for me and my family. I don't very often share about my personal life and I won't go into a lot of details but just thought I'd share this in case I go missing for a few days at a time you will understand why. I shared some time back (don't remember how long ago) about my dad having Alzheimer's Disease. It's really progressed and we decided that it was time we called Hospice in. It doesn't mean it's the end but this will give daddy more help that he needs and also help for my Mother. Please keep us in your prayers! This is such a TERRIBLE disease :(

Close To My Heart just announced that on Saturday, December 1, 12:00 AM (MST) that they will be adding LOTS of new sale items to the "While Supplies Last". You will find a wide variety of paper and coordinating accessories plus many more GREAT bargains! Friends warm up even the coldest day!

Hello peeps! I hope your having a great weekend! It's been another lazy day for me. My husband told me earlier no more Black Friday shopping for me. It completely wipes me out and I'm not worth a snot! Poor guy, I fed him a fried bologna sandwich for supper tonight and he's pretty lucky he got that bahahaha!

While my husband was watching football I did manage to make a card! I used a retired CTMH stamp set called, Bundled Buddies. I bought this from a lady on one of my CTMH facebook groups. I wished it was still available it's such a cute set!! I also wanted to play some more with Emma's dies! I used the XL label and the stitched XL label dies to stamp my little scene on. I first stamped my little raccoon and then stamped it again on a scrap piece of paper. I cut it out and laid on top so I could stamp the tree background. I colored the raccoon with my copic markers. I used CTMH ink in Olive for the trees and CTMH ink in Sky for the sky. I've learned something today and wished I had been doing it all along :( I used CTMH liquid applique for my snow but this time I used my heat gun to dry it instead of letting it dry on it's on. I love how it made it puff up!! I should have been doing this all along sniff, sniff. I loved it before but now I REALLY love it hee hee. For my sentiment, I used Emma's Curly Label and Stitched curly label dies to stamp on. The sentiment was included in the Bundled Buddies set and I stamped it using Sky CTMH ink. I used a Martha Stewart punch for the branches. The bow is from the Artiste cartridge and I used a scrap piece of card stock to run behind it. I was going to emboss it but totally forgot and glued it down :( I used the Tim Holtz wood grain embossing folder for the background.

Thanks for looking and enjoy the rest of your weekend! Hugs, Leanne

May This Season bring joy for all!

If your looking for the MCT Black Friday Hop CLICK HERE!!

Hello everyone! Well? How was your Thanksgiving Holiday?! Ours was wonderful and just like I predicted we ate WAY TO MUCH bahahaha!! The food was absolutely out of this world (our parents KNOW how to cook hee hee) It's a good thing we don't eat like that daily or I would weigh a gazillion pounds!!! We also survived Black Friday (no scratches or bruises or no bail bonds needed) I did get just a little run over by crazy people RUNNING to get in the line for the tv's at Wal-Mart but no battle wounds that I can show off! We got everything we went for so it was a successful night! The only thing that got me was staying up ALL night....I was a complete ZOMBIE by the time we got home and slept most the day on Friday! I hope everyone that braved the Black Friday sales, that you were able to get what you wanted to!

For my card today, I have used several of My Creative Time's products and the Artiste cartridge! I am absolutely in LOVE with the new dies that Emma has released! Here I've used, Lowercase Fun Dies, XL Label Die, and the Stitched XL Label die. I created my poinsettia using the CTHM Artiste cartridge (page 80 in the handbook, Accent one no shift) I cut this image in different card stock and different sizes (green card stock 2 x's at 2.25, red card stock 2 x's at 2, 1.50, & 1.25 offsetting each layer) I added red glitter gems from the Workshop On the Go, Pear & Partridge cardmaking kit for the center and also to the dot for the letter "j" in joy. I also used my Martha Stewart branch punch to add just a little bit more greenery. The sentiment is from My Creative Time's, From Our Family to Your's. I did the sentiment by using the masking technique. The paper is some I've had in my stash and I believe it came from Hobby Lobby.

Have you gotten your Artiste cartridge yet? Why not give yourself a little "early" Christmas present! If you would like to purchase the Artiste cartridge CLICK HERE! Thanks for looking and I wish you and your family a wonderful  & safe Holiday weekend! Hugs, Leanne

For my project today, I made another home decor project! I've been hoarding picture frames for a while and decided it's time to start using them hee hee! I got to thinking back when we were young (my brother and I) how we use to sit outside (along with our cousins) and watch for Santa! I come from a pretty big family and we use to always get together on Christmas Eve. I can remember it like it was yesterday, how we were glued to the sky in hopes that we would spot Santa and his reindeer! Of course, our parents played their part too by keeping us updated on his whereabouts! Anyhoo, that memory is what inspired my little scene! I bet you in a MILLION years you wont guess what stamp I used AGAIN for my background bahahahaha! Yup, it's the one that I hope I haven't drove you crazy with, Triple tree with snow!!  I also cut me a circle to use as a template for my moon when sponging the sky. I used Christmas Solutions for Santa and his sleigh. I've added liquid applique for my snow. Now on to Emma's newest release!! OMG! I can't EVEN begin to tell you how EXCITED I was when Emma told us she was doing a layering die for the Curly Label and the X-Large Label!! I swear I think I did the happy dance hee hee! I used the Curly Label here and the sentiment is from Warm Holiday Fun. I ran some ribbon from my stash behind my sentiment.

I normally don't say I like anything I do (I'm my #1 critic) but this just makes me smile! I think this will be something I will look forward to displaying every year at Christmas! I hope you like it and maybe it inspired you in some way to bring some past Christmas memories to the present! Thanks for looking and I hope you have a AWESOME weekend! Next stop on the hop is Micia!

Snowman Picture Frame

Good morning and Happy Tuesday to you! I hope you are having a great week and are all set for Thanksgiving this Thursday! I know I'm looking forward to all the good food and special time with my family! We eat dinner at my mom's and supper at my in-laws! Talk about gobble till you wobble that's us in a nutshell hee hee!

We normally put up our Christmas tree the day after Thanksgiving so I've been wanting to do a few little home decor projects to add to our decorations. I had found this frame at our local dollar store on the clearance rack back in the summer. The glass was gone and I think I paid around .50! Who can pass up at .50 frame huh?! It didn't bother me the glass was gone because I knew I'd find something to do with it! Here is what I came up with! I used CTMH Flakey Friends stamp set for the snowman. I literally chopped him up to create my little scene! I hope your not getting tired of seeing the tree background! Because yup, I've used the Triple Tree with snow stamp AGAIN for the background hee hee! I used Tim Holtz Pumice Stone distress ink and sponged for the night time effect. I've used Liquid Applique for my snow. There wasn't much to be colored but what is I've used my copic marker. I did add some stickles to the scarf & hat. I hand cut the two snowballs up in the right corner and I added pop dots for dimension. The sentiment is from My Creative Time, It's A Magical Season. This sentiment is what gave me this idea! Here is a little closer up picture hopefully you can see the details a little better! Also by clicking on the photo it will enlarge them!

Thanks for looking and if I don't get anything posted again before Thursday HAPPY THANKSGIVING to you and your family! Hugs, Leanne

Isn't this such a cute stamp set?!! If you would like to purchase it CLICK HERE!

I see you lookin at me AND a Exciting Announcement

Howdy peeps! I hope you are enjoying your weekend! I've got some EXCITING news to share with you all! I should have already announced it but wanted to wait till I had a project to go along with the announcement! I've made the Zig USA Design Team!!! I'm SO excited!

We were asked to make a Thanksgiving theme project and one of the first things that pops in my head is the POOR Turkey!! I would be looking a little worried too hee hee! I used the turkey from the Animal Kingdom  cartridge. I've inked him all up using Tim Holtz, Vintage Photo distress ink. For his eyes, I've used PKSC-October stamp club kit. I thought those eyes were PERFECT for him lol!! I've used my Zig two way pen to glue the tiny parts of his beak/nose (not sure what you call it bahaha) This pen is AWESOME for those tiny parts!! I've also used glossy accents on his eyes and beak. The sentiment is from MCT What's Growing On.  It's hard to see in the photo but I've also highlighted the tail feathers using Zig, Wink of Stella pen in clear. It makes his tail sparkly!

I'm excited and honored to be part of this design team! Thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to work with your AMAZING products! Thanks for looking! Enjoy your weekend! Hugs, Leanne

Snowmen fall from Heaven...

If you are looking for the MCT Blog Hop please click HERE or scroll down to the next post!

Hello everyone! I hope all is well with you and your family! Can you believe how fast another week has flew by?! It's hard to believe that next week is Thanksgiving and not long after that Christmas! Yikes!! Is everybody getting fired up for Black Friday? We haven't made up our mind yet if we are going to be brave and fight the crowd or stay home where it's safe hee hee! I guess it's all according if there's anything that we just GOT to have lol! I say we, meaning my husband and I. He swears that he hates Black Friday but he's been already telling me deals he's seen so he's not fooling me, he loves it as much as I do!

I have another card to share with you today similar to the ones I made the other day. Except this time, I made a night time version lol! I'm sorry, I have been having fun making these little scene cards and can't stop! I used the Triple Tree with snow stamp from DRS Designs for my background trees. I sponged around using Tim Holt, pumice stone distress ink and added CTMH liquid applique for my snow. The super cute Snowmen is from MCT's, It's A Magical Season. I colored him with my copics and added CTMH liquid applique to his hat and also around the the base of him. I also tried something new (or new to me) by Close To My Heart called Create-A-Shade pearl paint. You may have to click the picture to enlarge it but I used a paint brush and applied a layer over the top of the snowmen to make him all shimmery! I haven't tried this yet with paint but that's on my to do list hee hee! The sentiment is also included in this set, It's A Magical Season. I used CTMH ink in Cranberry (my all time favorite color right now) to stamp the sentiment with.

I'm not sure how much crafting time I'll get in this weekend (if any) I sure hope I can, I still have plenty of things I need to get done! I say every year I'm going to make my family some Christmas gifts but it seems like I go blank as to what I was going to make! I'll remember right AFTER Christmas that's usually the way it goes hee hee! Anyhoo, thanks for looking and I hope you enjoy your weekend! Don't forget Sunday is the last day for my Giveaway!! Today, I'd like to share a card with you using two of the newest releases and several of some sets from the past! I absolutely LOVE the new Vintage Stitched label dies and the new Vintage Label Stamps that coordinate! The possibilities are ENDLESS!!  For the center, I used the Scallop and Stitched circle die to stamp the cute little house from the Home Sewn set on. I used my copics to color the house. I also stamped a little heart on the house using the Beary Special Thoughts stamp set. I added some stickles to the heart. The little banner is included in the Vintage Stitched label set and I used a sentiment from the Mixed Holiday Sentiment set. I embossed the sentiment using Zing white embossing powder. Warmest Wishes

Hello everyone! I hope you have had a great Thursday! I'm going to have to make a confession...I slept most of my day away :( I guess my body needed it but I sure hate when I do that, I feel like I wasted so much of my crafty time hee hee! I still managed to get one card in before my hubby came home from work! I didn't have to cook today (gasp! I got a break hee hee) The King himself fed us today (Burger King hahahha) My sister-in-law had surgery today so we swung by the drive through on our way to the hospital. It's nice to get to eat out even if it's fast food! If it means I don't have to cook I'm all for it!!

It seems like FOREVER since I've used my cricut so today I decided to give it a little bit of love! I used the cartridges Artiste and Stretch Your Imagination. I used the ornament on the Artiste cartridge, page 53 under under accent 3. I didn't use the layer and just cut it out of some pattern paper. Speaking of pattern paper..are you shocked I actually used some today!! To save time picking it out, I just told myself the first two pieces that coordinate I'm going for it bahahaha. Anyway, after I cut the ornament, I used my score pal and scored lines so I could do a accordion fold. I thought that might give it some dimension instead of laying flat on the card. I then used MCT Scallop and Stitched circle die to stamp my sentiment on. The little circle stamp and the sentiment are both from CTMH's Perfect Fit-Holidays stamp set. I stamped the circle with Desert Sand and the sentiment in Cranberry. I used Stretch Your Imagination for the holly and berries. The berries are hard to see because of the ribbon :( I used some hemp twine from Liz's Paper Loft along with a button and some ribbon from my stash. Last, I added gold stickles to the edge of the ornament, scallop and stitch circle, holly and berries, and the card base.

Here's a list of the Close To My Heart Products used on my card...

If you would like to purchase any of these items CLICK HERE for my CTMH Online Website!
Don't forget about my GIVEAWAY! Just a few more days left to get entered in! Thanks for looking!

PKS Color Challenge!

Hello peeps! Today starts a new challenge over on the Peachy Keen Blog! For this challenge, we were given a color scheme to go by! I've been in full blown Christmas mode and I have to admit I really struggled with this challenge! I really don't know why either I love the colors we were given to go by!

When I think of Fall, I immediately think of camping. Unfortunately we don't camp anymore. We sold our RV a couple of years ago but I really miss it! We keep saying when we get older and my husband retires we are going to buy another one and travel! The way it looks now, he may not ever get to retire hee hee so we shall see! It's always nice to dream! Anyhoo, getting back to where I was heading... when I think of Fall and camping it also makes me think of my Camping Critter cartridge! I love this cartridge! I don't use it near enough! So, I thought I'd try making a Fall card using it! I liked this die cut of the little Bear peeking out behind the tree so I decided to build a scene using him :) For his cute little face, I used PK-944 Funshine Parts. The fence is from the Old West cartridge. The little leaves are from a Marvy punch. I hand cut some kraft card stock and used a fiskars border punch for the trees. The sentiment is from SY-907 Halloween Holler Scarecrow Driver. The background paper is from CTMH Workshop on the Go, Moonlight.

Be sure to head over to see what the other designers made and play along with us! Thanks for looking! Have a AWESOME day! Hugs, Leanne

Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas!

Hello! Well, if you read my last post about running late on fixing supper tonight and the "possibly" of me being fired just any day I've got some sad news lol! There was no firing of the cook :( Don't worry I'll come up with another master plan tomorrow hee hee!

I wanted to share another card I made today using the Workshop On The Go, Pear & Partridge. I'm giving one of these kits away and thought I'd show you how awesome this stamp set is that's included! The kit includes enough supplies to make 15 cards and also a step by step showing you how to make 3 different styles of cards (5 each) This is not one of the designed cards. I've just used the stamp set, twill ribbon, card stock and the red glitter gems that are included. I probably should have showed you how gorgeous the pattern papers are but after I got started making this card I thought it looked better just with the Colonial white card stock as the background! Anyhoo, let me get started with the details on how I made it! I started out by cutting a 4 x 4 piece of the Colonial white card stock and stamping the image in the center. I stamped it using Cranberry, CTMH ink. I then stamped it a again using Desert Sand and hand cut the A Merry Little out. I pop dotted and covered up the one I stamped in Cranberry. I then used my Martha Stewart branch punch and punched several branches out in different colors of green (all from my scraps) I arranged them around my sentiment to form a wreath. I used my Zig two way pen to glue the branches down. I added the red glitter gems to represent berries. After I got this piece finished, I matted it using the Cocoa card stock. Before I adhered this to the card base I cut a small strip of the tan twill ribbon and glued it down. I then glued down my matted image and added a bow! I used another of the red glitter gems for the center of my bow. I hope these instructions are clear! I'm so not good at writing out directions!! Here is a peek at my card from the side...

Don't forget I'm giving away one of these kits! All you have to do to be entered into the drawing is place a order on my Close To My Heart Website! If you have any questions or need any help please let me know! Thanks for looking! Hugs, Leanne

Here is a picture of the kit!

More Christmas cards!

Happy Wednesday peeps!! I have a few more cards I wanted to share with you today! I'm LOVING Emma's new release! Her and the other designers sneaks have just been FABULOUS!

For the card up above, I've used one of my older stamps called Triple Tree with snow. I LOVE this stamp! I did try something different I've not done with it before. I inked the stamp up real good using Memento ink and I stamped on a separate piece of paper (not the card stock I'm using for my card) I then stamped three more times onto my card (the card stock that I am using for my card) I wanted to make it look like these trees were more in the distance. I then inked the stamp again and stamped it in the middle making it appear these are a little closer to you. I sure hope that made sense lol! I used my Close To My Heart Ink in Pear and Olive and a sponge dauber for my trees. I used Pear first and then went back over again using Olive to add some shading. I then added Liquid Applique  for the snow. I haven't had a chance yet to play with Emma's new type font and been itching too, so I've used it to make my sentiment!

For my next card, I had so much fun with the trees I thought I'd do it again hee hee

I created the background the same way as I did on the card above. The only difference on this one I used one of my new Close To My Heart Sets, Perfect Fit. Both the sentiment and the little bird are from this set. I've added some stickles to the little bird (bless his heart he's frost bit hee hee) I then added some faux stitches!

I have another card I've made today that I'll be sharing soon! I'm in the same dilemma I was in yesterday...WHAT'S for supper and getting it fixed before the hubs gets home! I'm just looking to get fired any day bahahaha (fingers crossed I hate to cook!) Thanks for looking! Hugs, Leanne

I also forgot to mention, I inked all the edges with Tim Holtz distress ink, vintage photo.

Good morning! Welcome to day one of My Creative Time's, November stamp release sneak peek week! Whew, that was a mouth full lol! You are in for such a treat this week! This release is definitely going to make Santa's wishlist for sure hee hee!!

My card I'm sharing with you today is a total different style for me! I'm usually all about simple and clean cards but I think I really got caught up with this one (and if you look really hard you may just see the kitchen sink, I'm sure I added it somewhere lol) I've used LOTS of MCT products on this card so let me get started with the details this might be a long post! For my sneak, I'm using one of the new sets, Circle Fonts. My mom had asked me to make a thank you for her to give to my sister in laws therapist. When I took these stamps out all I kept thinking was how cute they would be for the center of flowers! I just failed to count how many letters were in the word thanks so therefore that's why this card is almost a flower garden bahahaha! I used MCT Flower Petal dies for my flower (the largest flower) and for the center (that I stamped the font on) I used the Build A Banner kit. I inked the edges using CTMH ink, Smoothie. I then colored the circle font using a yellow copic marker and then added some stickles. The leaves is a Martha Stewart punch. I stamped some flourishes from CTMH's Instant Memories set using Olive ink. I used two different MCT stamp sets for the sentiment. The top part is from Just A Little Note To Say and the bottom part is from the set So Grateful For You. I added some faux stitching and then last I sprayed the whole card with Gold Glimmer Mist.

I'm so excited to see what Emma and the other designers have made for their sneaks! I'll say it again, THIS RELEASE IS AWESOME!! Thanks for looking and I hope you have a GREAT Monday! Hugs, Leanne
