Peachy Keen Challenge AND a EXTRA TREAT

Hello peeps! I don't know about you, but all I wanna say is woooo hoooo it's Friday!  Today starts a new challenge over on the Peachy Keen Blog! It's one of my favorite challenges too...Anything Goes! I had so much fun making this card (that's me in the tub hahahaha) Doesn't she look all relaxed with her leg all kicked up hee hee! I used Rock Princess for the girl (minus the clothes layer...SHE'S NAKED bahahahaha) I used PK-112 Cherub Face Assortment for her eye (totally love her eyeball!) If you look close, I forgot to use the hide contour on her face so just think of her with a cut under her eye (poor thing has a boo boo)! I used my copic markers and did some shading on her hair and body. The tub is from the Heritage Cartridge and I used a silver ink pad by Brilliance to ink around the edges and the faucet. For the background, I used the Tim Holtz brick embossing folder (not sure if that is the correct name or not but that's what I call it hee hee) I also took a scrap of white card stock and embossed it, then I inked it with the silver ink to make it appear as the floor. I used some dew drops for my bubbles. The sentiments are from July's Stamp Club. The ribbon tag that I stamped by sentiment on is by Spellbinders. I used some ribbon from my stash to run thru it. The girl and tub are both popped up on pop dots for dimension. Ok, that's all the details and here's a side view picture showing the dimension!

Have you heard about the Peachy Keen Sale!!!

A Baby Is... and some exciting news!

Howdy! I'm back with another card to share with you today! I actually had this one started a while back and   finally had time to put it together! This is actually not my idea! I kinda took my inspiration from another card I happen to run across on someone's blog. The reason I'm saying someone is because I thought I had bookmarked it and guess what...I either didn't or I can't find it now :( Sooooo if you know anyone that has done a card like this please let me know and I'll be sure to give them full credit! Their card was made using stamps but I didn't own any of the ones she used and knew I could find something similar on a cartridge. I used the New Arrival for the stork and if I remember right the fence is from My Community. The flowers is from PK-562 GnomeGrown. I used PK-134 Bird faces for the storks eye. The sentiment is by My Creative Time, All Star Baby.

I also have some exciting news to share!!! I just signed up to be a Close to My Heart Consultant! The special this month to sign up was just to good to pass up! I'm working on getting everything together and will be adding some links to my sidebar. I'm in no way ever going to pressure anybody into buying from me but just giving you the opportunity to in case your looking for a consultant! The new cricut cartridge will be available on August 1st and it is AMAZING!! If your interested in the cartridge and don't have anyone that you have promised to buy it from I would LOVE to get your business! Nothing else has changed I will still be designing for Emma and Peachy Keen! (Well as long as they will have me hee hee) I will still be promoting and using their products (because I love their products hee hee) I'm excited!

Oh and one more thing I forgot to tell ya!! Guess what I got in the mail yesterday?!?! I got the new A Frightful Affair cartridge!! I've only got to flip thru the pages but it looks like it's going to be another awesome cartridge! I can't wait to make something with it! Ok, better get going! Have a great day!
Hugs, Leanne

BAHAHAHAHA after I published this to post I went back to check it and cracked up at my title!!! It made it sound like I was pregnant!! I'm sooooo NOT so just to verify :) !!!!!!!

Don't Worry! Be Happy!

Hello everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! I got just a little bit of crafting time in yesterday (wooo hooo!) and wanted to share a card with you real quick!! I also got a new Imagine cartridge that I've been chomping at the bits to use called Spring Chic! I just love this little girl from July's PKSC! I used PK-640 Princess Face assortment for her face. I used paper from the Spring Chic to paper piece her. I also used two different flowers (I think they were Prima but not sure) and cut the petals off to make her skirt. The two banners and sentiments are also from Peachy Keen's July Release. The scallop and plain oval are both nestibilites.

I'll be honest this is not my favorite card I've ever made but it felt good just getting to play! I have more new scrappy goodies to play with and trying to carve me out some time to bust them open!! Thanks for hanging with me! I promise to get back posting on a more regular basis soon!! Thanks so much for stopping by! Hugs, Leanne

Yee Haw!!! It's Monday!! Ok... well Monday's are not all that great when you didn't want the weekend to be over hee hee! My hubby had to go back to work today BOO! He was on vacation last week. It was a good week even though we weren't able to do anything because of his back. He finally broke down and went to the doctor and it's some better. He still can't be lifting anything for awhile but hopefully it's healing!

I lucked up on one of our Wal-Mart trips and found a few cricut lite cartridges on clearance (can I get a BIG WOOOO HOOOOO!!) I got Croc Rules, 9 Months, & Yee Haw!! Be sure to check your local Wal-Mart, if they haven't marked them down yet they may be getting ready to!

I've been wanting Yee Haw for awhile and was really excited when I saw it on clearance (I kinda felt like a kid on Christmas morning lol) I was going to wait till this week to open it but well that didn't work as you can tell!! I HAD to play with it as soon as I got home (good thing hubby understood bahahaha) I also was excited to get to use two more of my FAVORITE products...Peachy Keen Stamps and My Creative Time stamps!! I LOVE the faces from the PKSC-07 July release! As soon as I seen this fellow, I just knew what face he needed hee hee!! I did have to use my Gyspy and the hide feature and also cut out several times to get it to work but isn't he CUTE!!! I made him have BIG rosy cheeks hee hee! The fence and cactus behind him are also from this cartridge and I've embossed them with a cuttle bug folder. I hand cut the ground and used my copics for shading. The sentiment is from My Creative Times, Wow! So Many Candles stamp set. I also did some faux stitching!

And guess what!!! He's on a action wobble!!

Ok...that's it for me today! I'm sorry I haven't had a lot to post lately and I'm hoping that real soon I can start having more playing time! Today is out and possibly tomorrow :( I will be at my parents painting trim ewwww bahahaha but somebody's gotta do it and all arrows are pointing at me! My mom is having both her bathrooms redone and she's soooo excited (and about drove us a tinsy bit CRAZY!!) but I totally LOVE them and will do whatever it takes to make them happy! Thanks for looking and I hope you have a wonderful day! Hugs, Leanne

MCT Guest Designer!

Good morning everyone! Today I'm honored to be guest designer on Emma's Blog! Emma is taking some time off to be with her family. The design team along with some other talented crafter's have volunteered to keep her blog up and going!

For my card today, I've used Emma's newest release, Fly Away With Me.  The new release consists of three different sets: Fly Away With Me Dies, Fly Away With Me sentiments, and Fly Away With Me Stamps. I also paired up Emma's products along with the new Peachy Keen release stamps PKSC-07! I thought they went so well together and had so much fun creating this little scene! I paper pieced pretty much the whole card except the clouds (Emma's die) and the background (PK-107 Cloudy Day). I've added some Helmar ZapDots to give the hot air balloon and clouds some dimension.

Since my hubby is on vacation this week (still with a bad back but hanging in) I'm doing my best to stay off the computer and spend more time with him! Sorry this is a short post! Have a great day! Hugs, Leanne

Sending sweet tweets your way!

Hi everyone! I hope you are having a great weekend! We are having a very lazy Saturday here at the Garner household hee hee! My hubby started his vacation yesterday when he worked off. I feel sorry for him he's been looking forward to this week off for awhile and yesterday hurt his back:( Soooo we are just taking it easy and hopefully it gets better in a few days!

I wanted to share another card I made using the new PKSC-07 July stamp club set. I love this mailbox image with the flowers! I also had fun coloring it with my copics. I've been paper piecing so much that it's been a while since I've did any coloring! I had a hard time matching any pattern paper to the image after I was finished that I just decided to slap it on some white card stock hee hee. After I did that, I just kept trying  to think of something that could spruce it up a little and then I remembered last months PKSC-06 June's release set. I love the little birdie from that set! I took the sentiment from that set also and stamped it all around my card. I added some faux stitching in between (which is just a wittle wobbily heehee) and called it quits!! This is one of those cards that turned out anything like how you visioned it in your head but the more I look at it is growing on me :)

That's it for me today!! Enjoy the rest of your weekend! Hugs, Leanne

Peachy Keen Release Party Challenge Two!

Hee hee I'm backkkkkk!!!! I hope everyone had a great time at the release party! The chat is still open and I plan on checking back in when I get this post up! If you didn't see my last post, I'm hosting one of the challenges this month for the release party. I'd love for you to play along! One lucky person will win the set I used to make my card (in the last post) PK-122 Funny Farm. I can't wait to see what you make!

The very talented Amy Crockett will be hosting challenge two and OMG! you should see her card! It's ADORABLE! For her challenge, she has given us a sketch to work with...
I used the new PKSC-07 July's release for my card. I just love the little girl and boy! This makes my second card with the girl and now I need to get busy and use the little boy! I decided to try a different face than what is in the stamp club. I used a face from the adorable PK-112 Cherub Set. I paper pieced her and added some little pearls for earrings and her buttons. The phone is from the cricut cartridge From My Kitchen. The border is from a Martha Stewart punch. I kinda wished now I would have stamped her on something other than white :(  I always find something when I finish a card that I wished I would have done different!!

Thanks for stopping by and looking! I'll be back tomorrow with another card so be sure to stop back by!! Hugs, Leanne

I will be hosting the first challenge so I really hope you will come join us and play along with me!! I'm going to have to make this a quickie so I can head back to the party but wanted to give you a little details!! My challenge to you is to create a scene with your Peachy Keen Stamps!! I love creating scenes when I'm making cards! For the card above, I used one of the add on's from this months release PK-122 Funny Farm (I swear Kathy made this for me bahahaha) Isn't this tractor ADORABLE!! I had fun paper piecing it (paper piecing keeps me sane lol) I used some glossy accents on the window and  on the headlights/eyes. I also added some pop dots to give it some dimension. The sentiment is also from this set. The little scene behind with the sun is from the July Stamp Club kit and I paper pieced it also!! I used a circle spellbinders die to cut it out. Here is a side view of my card!

Ok, I'm going to run for now! I hope I haven't left out anything! Come join the party happening NOW (OMG!!! I'm LATE!!!) Hugs, Leanne
