Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween everyone! Just wanted to make a post to let everyone know why I haven't been around the last week. My husband and I both have been sick! We are doing much better now (thank goodness!) I've also have had a death in my family. My uncle passed away yesterday and we just got a phone call a few minutes ago of a real close family friends dad just passed away. I didn't feel like getting in my scrappy room during the week and now that I'm feeling better I'm not going to have much time to get anything done since we will have funerals to attend. I just thought I'd make this post to let you know I will be back just as soon as I can! I'm already having withdrawels from not getting any playing time last week! I can't wait till I can get some crafting time in! Hope everyone had a safe and fun Halloween! We had some of the cutest trick or treaters this year! I just love seeing the little ones dressed up in their costumes! We also had lots of candy left to but I'm sure it won't last long around here hee hee!

Wow! I was picked by DRS Designs!!

Hello everyone! I hope you all have had a wonderful weekend! I'm excited to share some cards with you today that I recently received from DRS Designs. My good friend, Karin, nominated my blog in a contest at DRS Designs and I won!!! Woo hooo I was sooo excited! Thank you Karin for thinking of me! I was able to go to the DRS Design shop and pick three stamps out for free! Sounds easy huh? Well, it wasn't! I wanted them all!! I had to make me a list and just kept narrowing it down till I chose the three I used to make these cards!! Starting in November I'll be in the running to be one of their featured stampers so wish me luck!!
For my first card I used the stamp, Triple Tree with Snow. I've always wanted a stamp with trees and I absolutely loved this one! I stamped it twice and used my prisma pencils and mineral spirits to color. I then added some stickles to give some sparkle. The pattern paper is by DCWV. I used my cricut and story book for the shape I stamped the sentiment on. The sentiment is by TPC Studio.
My second card, I used this adorable stamp called Wintertime Buddies. I used my copics and prisma pencils to color. I used my cricut and Joys of the Season to cut the ornament and the poinsetta flourish. I also embossed the background with my cuttlebug using the snowflake folder. I added some gold stickles to the poinsettas (which I actually cut those out twice) I also used the Martha Stewart branch punch. I used all regular cardstock except on the ornament I used some glitter paper that I've had in my stash.
For my third card, I used the Framed Thanksgiving Greeting stamp. I used my copics to color. I then cut it out using my nestibilities. I used Tim Holtz distress ink to give it that aged look. I used my cricut and Storybook to cut out the green vine (not really sure what to call that!) I cut it out twice and layered. I then used a Studio G stamp "I'm thankful for" and added the letter U and a punch leaf. I used the same leaf punch and punched out a few more leafs and scattered around.
I just want to say thanks again DRS Designs for picking me and for Karin for nominating me! I am so honored and have had a blast using your wonderful stamps! I really hope that you like what I did with them! If you've never been to their site please take this moment to go check them out! They have some wonderful stamps for any occasion!

Tuesday Morning Featured Stamper!

Hello everyone! This week I am the featured stamper at Tuesday Morning Sketches! I have never been a featured stamper or a guest designer before and let me tell you I've been a bundle of nerves hee hee! The challenge this time is Trick or Treat, smell my feet, give me something good to eat! I thought I would use the cake box on the cricut cartridge, Tie The Knot for my treat box. I also used October 31st and Happy Hauntings to decorate the outside. I apologize for the picture. I could not get the lighting right no matter how hard I tried! The side of the box not showing says Trick or Treat. I'd like to thank Melissa and the other design team members for letting me play along! This was a fun challenge and also a honor to be the featured stamper this week! Be sure to visit Tuesday Morning Sketches and play along this week! Thanks for looking!

Bildmalarna Blog Anything Goes Challenge-Boo!

Hey!! I'm back and guess what?? Yup, more Halloween cards ha ha!! I told ya I was totally hooked on Halloween right now!! This time I made not just one but two cards for the challenge we have going on at the Bildmalarna Blog!! For our challenge this time we decided to go with a anything goes challenge. For my first card (the very top card) I used the Bildmalarna ghost stamp. Aren't the little ghost so cute!! If I were to see ghosts these would be the ones I would like to see hee hee! For my second card I gave myself a little challenge. Since I don't own any of the Halloween stamps I thought I would see if I could do a little improvising! I used the Tosse Get Well stamp. It made me think back to when I was a little girl and scared of what was under the bed at night! I cut a ghost from the Paper Doll Cricut Cartridge and glued on top where the kitty and medicine bottle was at. For both cards, I used my cricut and scal to cut the title Boo. It is a free svg file that is being offered on SVG.com. I added google eyes for the top card but for the bottom card I went with black stickles. I also used my Martha Stewart Drippy Goo punch (almost forgot I had that!!) and for the pattern paper it's by KI Memories. We would love to have you come play along with this challenge and there's still plenty of time to enter! The only requirement is to use a Bildmalarna Stamp and after that anything goes for this challenge!! Thanks for taking the time to stop by my blog and I hope you come back real soon!!

I'm entering this card into the following challenges:

Ellephantastic Challenges - Black and orange
MyGrafico Challenge Blog - pop it up (add dimension) the title boo for both cards are pop dotted

LSS Spooky graveyard scene

Hello everyone! It's Lindsay's Stamp Stuff day and here is my card using her Spooky graveyard svg file. This is actually a freebie she has on her blog. I used Sure Cuts Alot and my cricut to cut this out. I'm going to confess I had cut this moon out for another project I was working on. I had actually cut it out to big. I got to playing around and decided I would make it work for this card! The moon is cut out with the October 31st cricut cartridge and inked with TimHoltz ink. The bats, stars, and Happy Halloween are all dollar stamps. This was another really simple and quick card to make! I've been going for simple here lately it seems that my mojo has gone further south for winter. Hopefully, I can get it back! Don't forget to visit Lindsay and the other design team members blogs to see what they have been up to! Their links are on my sidebar and I'm sure they will wow you like they wow me each week! Thanks for looking!

I'm entering this card into the following challenges:

Quick,simple Halloween card!

Hello everyone! I'm back with another very quick and simple Halloween card! I think I'm going to call this week Halloween week because that's pretty much what I've been working on! If you remember a couple of post back I won the cricut cartridge Rock Princess from Melanie at Courtney Lane Designs for Hello Thursday.  Well, I got my cartridge in and had to test out a few cuts! I found these cute (in my opinion hee hee) cherries and decided to use them to make a Halloween card! I showed my husband he wasn't to thrilled with the pink and black for Halloween but I wanted to put a little twist and use non traditional colors. So what you think? Can black and pink be used for Halloween?? I added some stickles to the eyes and some to the leaves to perk it up some. I don't think I could make a card without stickles hee hee! Anyhoo, I also did some faux stitching in a white gell pen. The paper is kraft paper and I mounted it onto some hot pink cardstock I had in my scraps. The stamp is a studio G stamp. I added a pink poka dotted bow to hopefully make it cuter! I think this would be a perfect Halloween card for a teen girl. It was really easy and simple. What do you think? Have I lost my marbles?!?!  Thanks for looking!

SSCC Halloween Challenge

Hello everyone! Our challenge at Stamping Scrapping Challenge Central is Halloween. I just love Halloween!  I wished my son who is 16 (going on 30) was still little. I miss buying him costumes and taking him trick or treating. Not to mention all the candy we, I mean he got (you know you can't let them eat ALL that candy hee hee) Anyhoo, I wanted to share with you my card I made for the challenge. I used the cricut cartridge October 31st for the spooky tree and the tomb stone to help create my spooky scene. The cute magnolia stamp is flying witch Tilda. I used my copics to color her and added some stickles to give her a bit of a sparkle. I then cut her out and attached with pop dots on top of the tombstone. The little spider stamp is from the dollar bin at Joann's and I hand wrote R.I.P. 10/31/10. The black poka dotted pattern paper also came from Joann's. I still feel like I need to add something more to this card but not sure what it could be or if I would even have room! So right now I'm leaving it as it is! Be sure to head over to StampingScrapping.com to see all the new goodies that Kevin and Cindy have gotten in! They have super, super fast shipping and great customer service! If you haven't gotten October 31st cricut cartridge I highly recommend getting it! I love it! It's got some really cool images.  I have plenty of ideas swirling around in my head just hope I have the time to get them all made by Halloween!  Thanks for looking and come join us at Stamping Scrapping Challenge Central for our Halloween challenge!
