Back to the books!!

Hello everyone! Thanks for the comments on my hubby's card he is truly getting a kick out of reading them!! It also gives him a little taste of why I get so excited when I get comments too hee hee! I asked him this evening if he was going to make another card tonight but he said he'd pass. I guess he's scared his manhood is on the line!! Hmmm I wonder if I could blackmail him into something new if I started threating to tell his buddies?? Just joking I wouldn't do him that way! Anyway, let me tell you about my card I wanted to share with you. This cute image and sentiment I used is called Teacher's Pet from Deedee's Digis. It worked perfect with the DCWV Gradeschool paper pack that I've had. I used my copics to color the cute owl sitting on the books and I used my Locker Talk cartridge to cut the A+. If you haven't visited Deedee's Digi's you really are missing out on some fabulous stamps!! They are also really affordable! This stamp set is $3.00 and also comes with four different sentiments (this includes the one on my card). She also has dollar digis that are super duper adorable! She also posts a new challenge on our challenge blog each Monday. The winner of the challenge gets a free stamp set now how cool is that?! But you can't win if you don't play so what you waiting for head on over and check out the new challenge!! Thanks for looking!

I'm entering this card into the following challenges:

Lookie!! My hubby made a card!!!

Yup, you read it right! My hubby made his first card last night!! Didn't he do a great job? I'm so proud of him and to be honest I was shocked he even wanted to make one! I was in my scrap room when he came in and asked and I was just blowed away!! So, I gave him quick lessons on my gyspy and left him alone while he searched for what he wanted. After that I showed him how to get them ready to cut (I let him pick the colors). After that I showed him how to make the base of the card (which not sure if he could remember the measurements again hee hee) then I let him pick some pattern paper. He came up with how he wanted it arranged and everything!! I just can't tell you how proud of him I was and how much fun we had doing it! I did have to add the eyes to the ghost he wouldn't do them but he added the dot for the door knob and the dots in the windows are eyes he said peeking out! He stamped the word BOO using some alphabet wooden stamps. Oh and I forgot if anybody is interested the cuts are from Paper Doll Dress Up (I sure didn't let him know the name of the cartridge he wouldn't have touched it then!!) Anyway, I just had to post this card and show it off!! I'm sure he would get a big kick out of comments so if you have the time please leave him some love and I'll be sure to show it to him!!! Thanks again for looking!!

Another Halloween card!

Hello! I hope everyone is having a great day! I slept just a little longer than I needed to this morning and I guess my age is starting to show it's taking me a while to get going! I've got so much to be done and my mind knows it but just telling my body is a different story!! But so far the day has started out pretty good! I've already had the insurance company contact me about Kyle's truck and hopefully we will be able to get it fixed pretty soon. Here is another Halloween card I would like to share with you. It's really simple and plain and I keep questioning myself if it's worth posting! I was wanting to make some Halloween cards to add to my Etsy shop but I just don't know if this one would sell or not. I guess you can tell I haven't gotten alot of confidence when it comes to my cards hee hee. I used my cricut and Paper Doll dress up for the pumpkin and ghost. The grass was cut with the Zooballo cartridge. I used my copics and some ink to try to do the shading. I think I probably shouldn't have done the black around the ghost maybe that's what keeps throwing this off to me. I would soooo love to get your feedback! I don't have anyone around here at home to ask so I'm turning to ya'll for help! If you think I should redo this or add something just drop me a note or if you think it's fine the way it is but not good enough to sell that's fine to just your honest thoughts would be so helpful! Well, I guess I better get up and get busy. We still have a pretty long day ahead of us!! Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you enjoy the rest of the day to!!

Harvest Blessings to you!

Hey ya'll! How's your weekend been? Ours has been pretty wild! Kyle had a wreck Friday night, someone pulled out in front of him (him and the driver of the other vehicile are ok) and today him and his daddy went to the dirt track so he could get some practice time in and had a wreck on the 4-wheeler! I've lost at least twenty years off my life! The wreck on the 4-wheeler scraped him up pretty good and he was already sore from the wreck Friday night and this wreck I'm sure is going to make it much, much worse. But he's not hurt bad just in places he's lost some skin and pretty raw (I hope that's not to much info hee hee) He's been lucky on two occasions this weekend! I defintely have thanked God over and over! It's been a scary weekend but we also have had some good laughs over it to which I won't bore you with but as I sit here writing this I'm giggling thinking about them! Ok, enough about us let me share with you the card I made for Deedee's Digis. Have you been to her store lately? If not I highly recommend heading over there! She just keeps coming out with the cutest stamps! Sunday (tomorrow hee hee) is my turn to post to the craft blog, Crafting with Deedee's Digis, but I wanted to go ahead and get this up in case I don't have time tomorrow. For my card I used the stamp set Sunshine and Sunflowers. I loved this scarecrow from the time I laid eyes on it and just been chopping at the bits to make a card with him! I decided since my cricut has still been feeling neglected that I would use it to so the sunflower, pumpkins, and bale of hay are all diecuts from Paperdoll Dress Up, A child's year, Old West, camp out and Stretch your imagination. The border punch is a ek success punch and the embossing is done by my Cuttlebug using the Pasiley folder. Thanks for looking and enjoy the rest of the weekend! I've had enough excitement to last me a lifetime this weekend so I hope and pray the rest of ours will be very, very quiet lol! I wonder if I could get away with locking him in his room for a few years?? Just joking I love him to pieces!!

I'm entering this card into the following challengs:

Alota Rubber stamps - fall colors - red, blue, yellow, green, and orange
Lexi's Creations - emboss it

Home Tweet Home & End of Summer Sale

Hey everyone!! I have several exciting things to share with you today! First I would like to welcome a new member to our DT, Laurel Seabrook! If you get a minute head over to her blog and give her a big welcome I'm sure she would be thrilled!! Next, I wanted to let you know about Lindsay's sale going on now thru August 28th. Everything is 30% off! Click here to go to the LSS store. Now on to my card! I used one of Lindsay's older sets Bird's & Branches. I just love this set and have been wanting to play around with it for some time now. I printed the birdhouse and the branch rather large so I could make the birdhouse my main focus. Once I had them the size I wanted I colored with my copics and then cut the images out by hand. I then made my sentiment using my computer. After I had the sentiment printed out, I used my stampin up punches to punch it out. This was a real simple and quick card to put together but I think it turned out cute! Don't forget to head to Lindsay's Blog for this week's freebie and also follow the links on her site or my sidebar to visit all the other DT members. Now run, don't walk to Lindsay's End of Summer Sale! Thanks for stopping by today and I hope I've inspired you some with my card!! Thanks for looking. I'm heading to bed now it's almost 3:00 in the morning and I'm sooooo gonna pay for it in the morning!! I'm not sure if there is any challenges that will fit my card but that's going to have to wait till tomorrow or I'm just not going to make it!! Hopefully, this post makes sense!

Mummy Halloween card

Boo! Did I scare you? Even thou I'm not ready for summer to be over with I'm having to face the facts that fall will soon be here. I thought I would get a little jump start on some Halloween cards. I used my Paper Doll Dress up cartridge to create this little scene. I made my night background by sponging ink in navy blue, black, and white. The Happy Halloween sentiment is a wood Studio G stamp and I "thought" I had it high enough when I stamped but as you can see I was a little off hee hee! Oh well, I never claimed to be perfect ha ha!! I don't know whether to add this one in my etsy shop or not so what do ya'll think? I've been going thru my cartridges (they have been sooo neglected) and thought it was time I started using my cricut again. I mean how can I justify getting more cartridges to my hubby when it's sitting there drawing dust and since Provo Craft has released a thousand more cartridges I want I need to get busy, busy!! I also want to get back into scrapbooking again. I miss that to :(  I have got so many things I want to do but now all I need is the time to do them!!!  Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you enjoy the rest of the week!!

I'm not famous but...

How ya'll like this saying? Don't it feel like you sometimes!! I know it fits with me or lets just say it use to! Several years ago it really hit the spot. But lets just say I'm not in the spot light anymore hee hee! I've had my Forever Young cartridge for awhile and have been wanting to play around with it and well this is what I came up with. I made the sentiment using my computer. I added some silver stickles to her shoes, necklace, purse, and her hair just to dress her up a bit. I used my cuttlebug for the embossing. I also added some bling to her flower and purse. This card wasn't made for any challenges or DT teams it was a just playing around card! I'll probably be adding this one to my Etsy shop. I was soooo excited I sold my first card over the weekend woooo hooooo!!! I really need to focus on trying to get more on there to sell. I just don't know where all the time goes or my energy! It seems like it's gone before I realize I even have any!! Have a great week! Hugs!

Happy Birthday card!

Hey ya'll! Has everyone had a great weekend? It's been a busy, busy one for us! We went to watch some of Kyle's buddies race this weekend Friday and Saturday night. Both were out of town and both were going on right beside the fair. I didn't ride anything but I did have to play some of the games (I'm a sucker for those hee hee) I am now the proud owner of a gorilla and a lion! I almost won a bunny rabbit and gold fish (like I would have known what I was going to do if I did win!) It's been a fun weekend! I wanted to share with you a card I've had made just haven't had a chance to post it till now. This is one of the new fall Bildmalarna stamps, Mimosa with fruit basket. I just love this stamp and had a ball coloring it with my copics. The leaves are punched out with a Marvy punch and the sentiment is my Studio G. I added some stickles to the leaves and also did a little faux stitching. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoy my card!

I'm entering this card into the following challenges:
Everybody Art Challenge - in the garden

Lindsay Stamp Stuff Post & Sale!!

Hey everyone!! I'm back!!! I've missed the last couple of weeks joining in on Lindsay's Stamp Stuff. Things still are pretty crazy around here and alot going on but I'm surviving!! With homeschooling, daddy, and other family issues I'm beginning to wonder if things will ever settle down! But like I said I'm surviving it's just my crafting time thats suffering! Before I get started talking about my project I first want to tell you about Lindsay's sale at Starting tonight at midnight thru tomorrow night at midnight everything is 40% off!! You can't beat that sale! But before you run off (which I know you will hee hee) let me tell you a little about my project!! I don't know if ya'll remember or not but I'm in the template club over at and this month the template is party lanterns. At first I wasn't to sure if I was thrilled with this template or not but I decided to give them a try before I filed it away! The template has six different lanterns to make but I chose the one called open sky. I have to admit it did take me a couple of trys to get it right but once I had it figured out it really was simple and now I think I could make one super quick! Since Halloween is right around the corner and Lindsay has came out with a new Vintage Halloween label set that I've been dying to use I decided to start my Halloween decorations early!! It's probably going to take a little work but won't these be cute strung up and hung! I used my Stampin Up punches to punch out the digital stamps. I just now noticed that on one I did some white dots on the scallop circle but totally forgot to do it on the other but I'll fix that later! I had some plastic bats and spiders left from last years goodie bags that we made and thought they would be cute to add to. I also used the drippy goo Martha Stewart punch and added that border all the way around the lantern. The possiblities are really endless on how you can use these but I wanted them to be kinda simple because I'm sure I'm going to have to make alot to hang them where I want!! I also want to try some of the other lanterns to and see how they come out. Well, that's my project for Lindsay's Stamp Stuff this week and I really hope you've enjoyed it! Lindsay will also have a cool freebie for you on her blog and a great tutorial that you don't want to miss and don't forget all the other DT members fabulous projects that they have in store for you. Ok, now you have my permission to run over to MyGrafico and check out Lindsay's sale!!!

The name of the stamp I used is a Bildmalarna stamp, Mimosa's Chickens. Hopefully before long everything will start settling down again and things (plus me) will get back to normal! Friends Are Gods Way....

Hello everyone! I just wanted to say thanks to everyone for all the sweet and encouraging comments you left on my last post! They all meant so much to me and really made me feel so much better!

Isn't this sentiment so true? I'm so lucky to have some really great friends online and in real life. Friends really help you get thru some of the worst times! Not only are they there for you thru the bad times but also to help celebrate all the great things in your life to! I just fell in love with this cute digital set, God's Way, by Deedee's Digi's! This is one of Deedee's Dollar Digi's and believe me it's worth way more than a dollar!! I wished my picture would have come out better :( My lighting is not right but it's late and I'm really, really tired so I just gave up and did the best I could do!

I hope you take time to come visit Crafting with Deedee's Digi's. This week we have a awesome sketch challenge going on and each day different design team members share their creations using Deedee's stamps! Please don't leave me!!

Hi everyone!! I'm sad to say I've noticed I've lost a few followers here lately :( I really hope I don't lose anymore so please, please hang with me! If there is anything I need to do or change I'm open to suggestions (just please be nice lol) When I'm making something I always put love into it but sometimes it still doesn't turn out the way I want or imagine but I always still try to have fun. I also know I can't please everyone (even thou I would love to!) but if there is something I'm doing different or that just totally stinks that is making people want to stop following I really would like to know. I know it sounds weird but this blog means alot to me and so do all of you that are my followers. I was hoping to increase followers not decrease!! I hope none of this comes across the wrong way but everytime I lose a follower my confidence level goes way down and just wonder what I'm doing wrong. Ok, enough whining I'll go but like I said if there is something that I need to do differently please let me know!!

Vintage sexy lady card!!

Hello everyone! Hope ya'll have had a wonderful weekend! School starts back in the morning and I have to admit I'm dreading it like the dickens! I'm homeschooling Kyle again and I know getting him back in a schedule will either be the death of me or him not sure which just yet but I'm betting it will be me hee hee!! He's been sleeping late (me to) and I know the first few days we probably will both be zombies! I'm sorry I didn't post much last week I've just not been feeling well (I won't bore you with all my woes is me problems) but hopefully I can get back in the mood this week! I was able to make this card this weekend. I used the freebie image and sentiment from Create with TLC. I love this ladies blog!! She has all kinds of digi art for making cards or for scrapbookers!  I colored with my copics and then I added silver stickles to her dress, her finger for the ring, and the bracelet. I used chalk around the image and also some distress ink. I added a little flower and gems to the sentiment and also a feather that I found out in my yard! Thanks for looking and I hope you enjoyed my card!! Have a great week!!

*Edit* I just read over this again and noticed a oops I stated I used a feather but forgot in the end I decided not to but I guess everyone figured that out lol!!

New Challenge at Stamping Scrapping Challenge Central

Hey everyone!! Hope you have had a wonderful weekend! I have but just sad that it's flew by so quick! Here is my card I wanted to share with you for the new challenge over at Stamping Scrapping Challenge Central. It was my turn to pick and I went with a ad challenge. I used the colors as my inspiration. I used a Bildmalarna stamp, Mimosa with tulip and colored with my copics. For the flowers I used my slice and the design card noteworthy. I stamped the word smile and then cut each letter separtely to make my sentiment. I wished I could remember who the paper is by and I wished I had more of it!! I used scraps from my scrap bin and I hate that it's all gone well almost gone maybe I can squeeze one more card out of it!! I did alot of distressing on this card using Tim Holtz vintage photo ink and also a distressing tool by Heidi Swap. Thanks for looking and I hope you all have a wonderful week!!
