Inchin by to say hi!

Hey everyone!  Hope your week has gotten off to a good start!  I was able to get a little playing time in today so that's always a good thing! I really needed to do some cleaning but talked myself into waiting till tomorrow! I would much rather play in my scrap room than clean house!! I made this card today using the Caity Caterpillar digi stamp by Deedees Digis. Isn't this caterpillar the cutest thing! This is about the closest I would come to one to! I can't stand them in real life!! But there's not many bugs I do like and I really lose it if any get on me!! I used my copics to color and then I cut the image out using my nestibilities. I also used my cuttlebug but I have no clue the name of this folder. I've had it for a while and to be honest I think this is the first time I've used it! The pattern paper is by My Mind's Eye and the heart brad is from my stash. I used the Just Inchin by to say hi sentiment but this set also offers 3 more sentiments that you can use. Be sure to head on over to Deedees Digis she has the cutest stamps! She is also now offering $1 digis!! You can't beat that!! Also, before I go I would like to mention that this week's challenge on Crafting With Deedees Digis is a color challenge. The colors are brown and green. So be sure to drop in and play along!  Thanks for looking and I hope you've enjoyed my card!

Scary night at the races!!

Ok, let me start off by saying this was not for Kyle!! But this momma is ready for him to give this racing career up!! We went to a new track last night one that I hope we won't be back at. There were major wrecks all night. This one and several more where the ambulances had to take them. But this wreck was the worst and I'm sure prayers are needed. This was a girl in the pro class. She wrecked while she was coming off of a jump and landed sideways. She and the 4-wheeler flipped several times and it landed on her. She stopped breathing and when they left with her they had got her breathing but she was not responding. As far as Kyle he came in 1st kinda by default he was the only one in his class. The bad thing was since he was the only one they stuck him in a "older" class with more experienced riders. During qualifying he got tangled up in a pile up and his 4-wheeler stood up on it's nose and it and him both almost flipped over. Talk about scared I about died!! He was able to get it back down not sure how (other than me praying really, really hard) This is one track that I hope I never see again and I think my hubby agrees also. By the end of the night my nerves were shot!!  I sure hope there are not ANY races next weekend anywhere....

Water Challenge at Stamping Scrapping Challenge Central

Hello everyone! Hope your having a great weekend! Kyle's got another race this weekend. This time we have to travel a little further than normal. It will be his first time on this track and I'm just a little worried. Normally before the race they let them do a short practice run. This track they don't! I hate that he won't be familiar with it at all! By the way I meant to mention this earlier in the week but didn't remember. I was so proud of him last weekend, he won!!! He's doing really good for someone that hasn't been doing it long! Today I'd like to share the card I made for our challenge at Stamping Scrapping Challenge Central. Our challenge this time is water.  I had fun making this card but to be honest I'm not so sure I'm in love with it! The day I made this me and hubby went fishing and I sat down to make the card and couldn't get our fishing trip out of my head!! So this is what I came up with! I used Mimosa sitting stamp and colored her with my copics. I also used the fence stamp from C.C. Designs. The extra grass on each side was cut with my cricut using the create a critter cartridge. I also used my cricut to cut the fishing rod and fish but right now my mine has went blank and I forgot which cartridge it came from! The canoe is a stamp from Close to My Heart that I got from my dear sweet friend Cheryl (Hi Cheryl!!) Well, I guess that's it! I hope you like my little scenery card I'm still on the fence whether I do or I don't!! Come join in the challenge!! Thanks for looking!!

Deedees Digis - A get well wish

Wow, can you believe how fast the week has gone by??? I can't!! School will be starting back in just a few short weeks and life as I know it will come to a end hee hee!! Today I have a card I would like to share with you using Deedees digis. I kept this card clean and simple. I used Deedees set Cup of Joy. This set offers the pretty cup with flowers that you see in my card and 4 sentiments. I colored the image with my copics and then added some stickles to the centers of the flowers. I then used my nestibilities and cut the image out and mounted it on the scallop circle (nestibility also) The paper is by My Minds Eye and a piece I had left over from another project. I also used my scorpal to score lines in the cardstock. To add a little embellishment I added some skittles from my stash. Thanks for taking the time to visit with me today and I hope you enjoyed my card!! No sales yet in my Etsy Shop but keeping my fingers and toes crossed!! And before I leave I would love to share a special set that Deedee has designed Cuties For A Cure. This sweet set of 12 inchie sized digis was designed to support childhood cancer cure research. All proceeds from this set will be donated to the National Childhood Cancer Foundation. This is a disease that has showed it's ugly face in many of our love ones and friends and I hope that one day there will be a cure. You can find this set available for purchase at Deedees store for $3.00. If also you could help spread the word and maybe we can really make a difference with the money made.

I'm entering my card into the following challenges:

Lindsay Stamp Stuff Post - Happy Birthday!

Yikes!! It's been several days since I've posted hopefully I'll have a few more things to share over the next few days (fingers crossed) Before I go any further some of you may have noticed that I've opened a Etsy Shop!! I've been debating and debating over this forever!! To be honest I've been a big chicken and finally just decided to face my fears and go for it!! I haven't got everything listed yet just thought I would see if I had any luck with a few at first. I know most of you are crafters yourselves and won't be interested but if you do ever see anything that your interested in and it's not posted on the Etsy shop just email me I'm pretty willing to sell anything as long as I still have it! Also, just say a small prayer that I might get lucky and build a little business Lord knows I sure could use the extra money! Ok, on to my card for Lindsays Stamp Stuff! This week Lindsay is sponsoring Tuesday Morning Sketches! The challenge this week was to use any sketch that you wanted (must be a Tuesday Morning sketch) and add something that reminds you of summer. I chose sketch #52. Be sure to play along Lindsay is offering a free set to the winner! I used two sets this week All Around Phrases and the Cute Easter set (pictures of both sets are at the bottom of this post). I used both sets to make the flowers you see on my card and the butterfly. I used the eggs and one of the circles (without a phrase). By using my photo program I was able to shrink the egg down to a petal size and just copy and pasted around the digi image from the all around phrases. I hope this makes sense I am not the best at explaining but trust me it was super easy!! After I had everything the way I wanted I printed and colored with my copics and added distress stickles. I actually made one extra flower that I didn't use so I used it to punch my butterfly out with. I used a brad for one center and a little diamond gem for the other so it makes it hard to see the middle stamp. I also used another Martha Stewart punch for my leaves. I used my nestibilites for the circle and scallop circle and also Tim Holtz distress ink to age it up some. My Happy Birthday sentiment is a Studio G stamp which I also distressed with some ink and colored around the edges with my copics. I have no clue what the correct name for the ribbon I used and you can barely see it but I run it on top and bottom of the design paper (which is a scrap from my stash). I used another punch for my border underneath. I was able to find some kraft paper at Hobby Lobby over the weekend and was excited to get to use it! Well, I think I listed everything!! Whew, didn't mean to make it so long and hopefully it all makes sense!  Be sure to head over to Lindsay's blog and see what amazing project she has created this week and all the other design team members (links are on my sidebar) Lindsay usually offers a freebie each week so you don't want to miss that! Also, head over to Tuesday Morning Sketches and play along and have a chance a free stamp set!! Thanks for looking!!

Best Fishes!

Hey ya'll!! How's your Friday been? I've been nothing but a lazy bum!! It's been stormy here today and the house has stayed so dark that I have taken me several naps!! Ok..I confess they were more than naps I slept half the day away!! I was up late last night and really needed some sleep!! I was going thru my stamp sets the other day and I ran across this set I've had for a while. Well, it got me thinking about Deedee's set of her fish and sentiments! I just had to see what her fish looked like in the tank and this is what I came up with!! I used my copics to color and after I got everything colored I added glossy accents. Deedee's fish had some bubbles coming out the fishes mouth but since I cut around the fish I used two clear skittles as my bubbles. My washing machine went ka pooie on me this week so I'm going in the morning to hopefully get me a new one.  I hate when appliances tear up!! It always happens at the worst time (which I guess there's never a good time for it to happen huh?) Anyway, by the looks of it I'll be spending most of my weekend trying to get caught up on the washing yuck! Kyle has a race tomorrow night (if weather permitting) so everyone please keep him in your prayers! It scares me to death he's going to get hurt. Thanks for looking!!

I'm entering my card into the following challenges:

Paper Playtime - bubbles

You're a Classic - Lindsay's Stamp Stuff

Hey everyone! I'm so excited!! I can finally share my card for Lindsay's Stamp Stuff Thursday!! Lindsay has came out with a awesome new digi set, steampunk style. It has some really cool images and great for making those masculine cards that we all tend to have trouble with! I used the classic car digi and first I colored it with my copics. I then used distress ink by Tim Holtz to give it a antique look and did the same thing with my sentiment.  I used my Heritage Cricut cartridge to cut the frame that the sentiment is on. I then added some screw looking brads to each side to give it more of a manly feel. Ok, now I want ya'll to check that bow out!!! I made that with the bow easy!! I know it's hard to tell in the photo but it turned out sooo much better than any bow I've ever made! That's mainly why I don't use ribbon often I can't tie bows! But now I can and I may just go bow crazy hee hee! But wait that's not all see that little flower on top of the bow? Yup, made that to!! A good friend of mine gave me the link to a awesome blog that has a svg file and a video tutorial that is (from what I'm told) the same cut as the Sizzix Bigz Die flower. I had been wanting that die for a while but now I guess I can spend my money on other things! You have seriously got to check this blog out! This lady is amazing and super generous to share her svg files. I signed up to follow so I wouldn't miss a thing!! Ok, back to my card I got a little side tracked! The paper I used for this card is by K & Company, Life's Journey. This digi set is a MUST have so head over to Lindsay's shop and be sure to get it today!! You get 17 stamps for $5.00!! Now that's a great deal!! Don't forget to head over to Lindsay's blog and pick up this week's freebie. I've added the DT members links to my side bar so please go to their blogs and see what they've been up to this week! Thanks for looking and hope you enjoy the rest of the week!!

Congratulations on your Wedding Day

Our challenge on our new challenge blog, Stamping Scrapping Challenge Central (SSCC) is weddings. I used Bride Emma from C.C. Designs. Isn't she cute? I added stickles to her veil and to the little bit of bow that is showing. I also made these flowers from a Hot Off the Press template. I hand cut them out and then colored them with my copics to match the roses in Emma's hand. I then applied distress stickles all over and I just love how these turned out! The leaves are a Martha Stewart punch. I also added some skittles to look like flourishes but they turned out looking more like bubbles then flourishes! For the corners I used a fiskars corner punch that I had totally forgot about! The paper is from Hobby Lobby. I also added some faux stitching and the lace is from my stash. We would love for you to come join us in our first challenge. All you need to do to be entered to win the prize is use any stamp that Stamping Scrapping sells. If you have not been to Cindy's store Stamping Scrapping you must check it out!! She has really good prices and super fast shipping. Cindy and her husband Kevin are super sweet people and are always willing to help with any questions you may have! OMG! Ya'll should see my wish list from her there!! I bet it's bigger than the one's sent in to Santa hee hee!! Thanks for stopping by my blog and I hope you will come back!!

Flowers and butterfly card!

Happy Wednesday!! We've made it halfway thru!! I don't know about your area but it's hot, hot, HOT here!! But I'm not going to complain (well try not to!) because I am loving summer!! Today I want to share a card I made using one of Deedee's Digis. But let me say first I'm so sorry I couldn't get the lighting right on this to save my life!!! I've been having troubles with that lately with my pictures and haven't really found a solution yet but the colors are so much prettier in real life. I used this weeks sketch from Stamptacular Sunday Challenge Blog. I really thought the sketch was a pretty one and sketches help me soooo much!  My nestibilites came in real handy for this card! I used my oval, circle, and squares. I also used the Martha Stewart butterfly punch for two of the butterflies and added some little round silver studs (not sure that's the correct name for them) and I also loaded them down with some stickles (maybe a little to much) I printed out two of the digital images and used the butterfly off the second one to pop dot and add demention. I also added some of the little silver things and stickles to it to! The lace is from my stash and the papers are from Hobby Lobby. The sentiment is also from Deedee's Digis and is included in the set. Thanks for looking and stopping by my blog!! If you like what you see I would for you to become a follower!! My husband has now bet me I won't be able to hit 400 so help me prove him wrong!! But only follow if you want to!! Hugs!!

Are you a Girly Girl?? Scrappy Frogs Challenge

Hello peeps!! I guess your shocked to see me back so soon hee hee!! I normally don't post two things on the same day but it turned out that I had two challenges to hit at the same time!! I made this card for Scrappy Frogs Challenge Blog. Our challenge this time is girly girl. I used the cute flip flops and sentiment from Deedee's Digis. I love this sentiment it fits me so well! I love my flip flops and wished I was able to wear them year around! I decided to change things up a bit with my image. I used the sentiment as my focal point and the flip flops as a embellishment! The butterflies are from a Martha Stewart punch and I embossed them using the Cuttlebug Embossing Folder. I wished I had something to make little antennas for them but after searching thru the house I came up empty handed! I made a boo boo that I could claim that I intended to do but I guess I will fess up! On the flip flop I used my nesties to cut the image out but screwed up and used the the scallop instead of the plain circle and didn't realize till I started to glue the two together!! It really wouldn't have been to big of a deal but I had done messed up coloring the flip flops at least twice and was starting to get just a little frustrated! So, I decided to go ahead and kinda rotate the two scallops so that the blue would show thru some and I think it turned out ok! I added a little clear gem to the flip flop but not sure if that shows up in my picture (for some reason I hard a hard time with the lighting when I took this) I added some ribbon (gasp, I'm not a big ribbon user) and tied a tiny bow (which I'm not good at either hee hee). The paper is by Paper Studio (some more my mom bought me). I don't know if ya'll have noticed on the last few cards I've been making I've got to where I like some white showing on my card. Just wondering do you like to do that or is it just me? We would love to have you come play along with us at Scrappy Frogs and I hope you like my take on the challenge!

I'm entering my card into the following challenges:

The Beary Scrap Design Team - emboss it (my butterflies)
By The Cute And Girly - warm summer days
Crafty Calendar Challenge - summer with a hint of yellow

Three Favorite Color Challenge - Just for you!

Hey ya'll!! We have a new challenge on the Bildmalarna Blog. The challenge is to make a project using your three favorite colors.  The only problem I had was I don't have just 3 favorite, I love all colors!! I do catch myself always leaning to brighter, bolder colors but if you asked me what my least favorite color was I honestly couldn't pick one!! About a week ago my mom, dad, and I was out shopping and I convinced them that we "needed" to go to Hobby Lobby. We were looking thru the paper and I got tickled my mom kept picking out paper after paper saying you need this one, oh and this one is pretty! She just kept gathering up and the best part of it all she paid for it!!! So, I decided I would make her a little card using some of the paper she bought me!! I used a stamp of Mimosa and the Just Because postage stamp from the summer stamp club. These stamps are no longer available but the new fall stamps you can pre order now by clicking here. The little butterfly is a Martha Stewart punch and I embossed it with the Swiss Dots cuttlebug folder. I used my oval and scallop nesties to cut Mimosa out. I feel like the card is a little plain but I just love the PP and wanted as much of it to show as possible!! Our challenges on the Bildmalarna Blog are now going to be a monthly challenge so you have plenty of time to come join us! We have also started a new bi-weekly challenge blog Stamping Scrapping Challenge Central. The challenges will be posted every other Monday. We will be doing challenges featuring any stamps that Stamping Scrapping sells. For example:  Bildmalarna, Magnolia's, House Mouse, CC Designs, Just Rite, Cindy's Scent with love stamps, and many more. Our first challenge is a wedding theme so be sure to join in on this challenge also! Thanks for looking and I'm super excited I have more cards I can't wait to share so please come back and visit!!

Bloom where you're planted

Woo Hooo!! It's the weekend!! It's been stormy this afternoon and we are getting some much needed rain but tomorrow (which is just a few short hours away I'm posting this late hee hee) is suppose to be a nicer day. Kyle is racing tomorrow night and between him and my hubby I'm not sure who's more excited!! Today is my turn to post on Crafting With Deedee's Digis and I also wanted to share my card here to. I just love flowers!! I take after my mom she loves them to! So when I saw Deedee's Bloom where you're planted set I just fell in love! This set comes with the sentiment I used on my card plus two more. I just love Deedee's designs and love how she adds sentiments with each set. The sentiment sometimes stumps me and with her sets it takes that worry away! I made some inches to add to my card by printing out the digi stamp twice and cropping with my photo application (on one of them I flipped it to make it different). I used my nestibilites for the sentiment and the scallop oval. The paper is some more of my scraps from my stash and to be honest I can't remember who its by (sorry) If you have not heard of Deedee's Digi's (she's just getting started) be sure and head over to her store you will love her designs!! Thanks for stopping by my blog and I hope everyone enjoys their weekend!!

Lindsay's Stamp Stuff - Happy Birthday!!

Several of the girls on Lindsay's Design Team is celebrating birthday's in the month of July (including Lindsay!) so we decided this week we would go with a birthday theme! Happy Birthday ladies and also to anyone else who is celebrating this month!! I'm a November baby so I've still got a few more months to go before I reach 29!! (give or take, more like give snicker, snicker) Just joking I'll be 43 and that doesn't bother me, it's my body that seems to be the one having a hard time dealing with it!! For my card I used this yummy looking cupcake (remember I'm on a diet so this is the closest I have come to any sweets!) from Lindsay's Sweet Stuff set. Doesn't it look yummy?! I haven't had chocalate in sooo long and I know I could eat a jar of cherries if given the chance! Ok..sorry strayed away for a moment let me wipe the drool off hee hee! I colored the cupcake with my copics. I also want to mention I'm using a sketch from A Crafty Little Place. This is their challenge for the week using the sketch, stars, and stripes. I didn't think stars would go to well with what I was wanting to acheive so instead I made these cute little flowers using a Hot Off The Press template. I hand cut them out of white card stock and then just sponged with some red and brown ink. The brads were not exactly the right color so I went over them with my copics and tried to match. The leaves are from a Martha Stewart punch. I used a studio G stamp for my sentiment and the papers are some more scraps I had in my scrap bin. (I believe they are both by My Mind's Eye but don't hold me to it) Be sure to head over to Lindsay's blog tomorrow she will be having another awesome freebie and you don't want to miss it! She also has a new set out this week that I know your going to love!! And before I forget I wanted to mention that Lindsay is also having a 34% off everything birthday sale Thursday thru Saturday (in honor of her turning 34) Don't forget to check out the other DT ladies blogs (links are on my side bar or on Lindsay's blog) to see how they are celebrating this week!!
