It's Thursday & Come See What I Have For You!!! think I have something for you??? Well, your RIGHT!!! It's my week to give away the free digital stamp for Lindsay's Stamp & Stuff!! The Haunted House Image I used in my card above is the freebie for this week! Click here to download it! Halloween is just around the corner and this Haunted House is a must have for all you digial stamp lovers and like I said before the best part it's FREE!!!! Be sure to check out Lindsay's shop for all of her digital stamps and for every 5 stamps you purchase you get a free stamp! For my card I printed out the haunted house on regular white cardstock and used my prisma pencils to color. Not sure if you can tell in the picture but after coloring I took my Brilliance Galaxy Gold ink pad and stamped over it just to give it a little sparkle. I cut the moon from the Camp Out Cricut cartridge and doodled some lines to make it look like clouds (not sure I really accomplished the look I really wanted hee hee) I again took my brilliance galaxy gold ink pad and stamped over to give a shine. The bats were cut from the Paper Doll Cartridge. The sentiment is a Studio G stamp. I stamped the sentiment 3 extra times for the large ghosts and placed them around the Haunted House. The ribbon is from my stash. Be sure to check out all the other DT members blog to see more examples of Lindsay's stamps! Thanks for looking and don't forget to download the freebie!!!

Scrappy Frogs Challenge Blog! Priceless Layout

Hello everyone!! It's late and I really, really need to get to bed!! But I wanted to post this layout I did for Scrappy Frogs Challenge Blog before I fall out! The challenge this time is paper piecing. I'm still working on our vacation pictures so I decided instead of a card I would do a layout!
Supplies Used: Cosmo Cricket paper
24/7, clock, priceless, heart, and two of a kind were all cut from Graphically
Speaking Cricut Cartridge
branch cut from Wild Card
prima flower and button from my stash.
I love this picture of my son and hubby. We were stuck in the truck waiting out a thunderstorm when I took this picture. I was trying to come up with a title and was looking at the picture and thought to myself how special both of them are to me. They truly are priceless. No amount of money could buy them! I added the 24/7 and the clock because they are priceless all the time! Be sure to check out the challenge blog and play along. I haven't heard yet what the new prize will be but I'm sure it will be something good! Thanks for looking! Have a great weekend!

This week for Lindsay's Stamp & Stuff I used her new cattails #2 and elegant dragonfly for my images. Lindsay has added some more new digi stamps to her shop! If you have never checked out her store before click here but beware your going to fall in love with her digital stamps! Both of the stamps I used are just $1 each and for every $5 you spend you get a free stamp!! For my card I printed out the cattails on blue card stock then colored with my prisma pencils. I used my nesties to cut the oval.I printed the dragonfly out on regular white card stock and colored also with my prisma pencils. I cut the scallop oval out from the Alphalicious cartridge (had to stretch it some in DS). I then pop dotted my dragonfly. The pattern paper is by My Mind's Eye and was a scrap from my stash (one of those oops I screwed up kind of things!) I learned a new technique from 52 Sketches...52 Weeks that I absolutely love! You know I've been messing around with paper bags lately (don't know I might be getting addicted to these things hee hee) Anyway, I ran across a tutorial for making your own vine from paper bags! It's really simple! Take a paper bag and cut down the side and remove the bottom. Then take the bag and crumple it up really good. Cut into 3" strips. Take a strip and flaten out (not completely because you still want the crumpled look) take your ink and ink one side. I used my sadle brown staz on and Tim Holtz vintage photo. After you have inked turn it over and apply a thin coat of mod podge. Take the strip and then twist, after twisted apply a coat of mod podge all over. Really simple and I love the look of it! I cut some leafs with my cuttle bug. I just took a scrap piece of the paper bag and crumpled and inked before running it thru my cuttlebug. I then added some prisma flowers with buttons from my stash. I hope these directions make sense! If not email me and I will try to explain better! Be sure to check out who has the freebie this week! Click here to the DT's link. Thanks for stopping by my blog! Hugs!!

Doggie Card Using A Paper Bag!

I know, I know it's not Valentines Day yet!! I found the coolest book this weekend at Scrapin Kats called The Paper Bag Book by Brenda Hollister and Friends. It has different ways of making cards, books, and layouts using a paper sack. Well, that's where my inspiration for this card came from! In the end it just came out looking like a Valentine's Day card (so anybody that really likes this could get a head start hee hee) This was a real simple card and didn't take no time to finish.
Directions for paper bag: My paper bag that I used is 5 1/8 X 3 1/8 X 10 3/4". Take bottom flap and fold up to the desired length and glue the flap down. The card pulls out from the top of the paper bag.
(I apologize I don't have the link where I found the pattern for the dog but if it turns out to be yours let me know and I will give you FULL credit) I used George and Basic Shapes to cut the Pieces.
Directions: Cut 1 oval in white size 4" (cut in half) and use for head
Cut 2 ovals in white size 3" and use for jaw's
Cut 2 ovals in black size 3/4" and use for eyes
Cut 1 oval in black size 1 1/2" and use for nose
Cut 2 ovals in black size 4" and use for ears
Cut 1 oval in white size 4" (cut in half) and use for paws
Cut 1 CIRCLE in red size 3/4" and use for tongue
I inked the edges in brown and also used my Stampin Up chalk to add some grey shadowing. I used a white gel pen for the eyes and nose and a martha stewart pen for the freckles.
For the card I cut a white piece of card stock to 5 X 6 1/4th. I used a studio G stamp for the sentiment and the heart is also a Studio G stamp. I then took my Stampin Up punch and punched a circle to adhere at top. I used my MS bow punch and glued on top (to give my doggie a bow). Again, this is a super easy card to make and actually was really fun! You probably will see me using more paper bags for my cards because this book gave me tons of ideas!!! Hope you like! Any comments are greatly appreciated!!!
