Something Fishy!!

Hey everyone! Hope your having a great weekend! I went to my 1st crop last night and I had a ball!! Got to meet some really nice women and most importantly got to be with people that had the love for scrapbooking like I do! It also helped me in other ways. This last week I've been feeling a little blue (you know the kind you just can't put your finger on whats wrong but you have a feeling that something is??)Please, oh please tell me you know?!?! Anyway, last night getting out really helped! Maybe I just need to get out of the house more often!! It took me a little while to get settled in (I packed everything except for the kitchen sink lol) But once I got started I enjoyed myself and here is what I done! Hope you enjoy! I wished the pictures would show the stickles I used on the fishies. I think that's what made them so cute! I used skittles for my bubbles and I used DS for my title (hopefully one day I will conquer that program!!)

Winston's 1st Trophy!

Boo Hoo! The weekend is over and Monday is coming alot quicker than I want! It's funny how on the weekend when you can sleep in some imaginary alarm clock in your head goes off and you find yourself up before daybreak! But come Monday morning when you HAVE to get up it feels like you could sleep the day away! I am lucky and blessed that I do get to stay home but I always look forward to the weekend just like everyone else. I get to spend more time with Winston and Kyle! Tomorrows plan is to do the grocery shopping and clean my house. Since I've been on a roll scrapbooking I've just let everything go...now I'm going to be paying for that tomorrow (another reason I'm dreading Monday so bad!!) This evening I went thru some of my stash just to reconnect with what I have and don't have and I ran across these racing stickers that I bought months ago. So, since yesterday I was tagged and had to pick the 6th picture and it happened to be of Winston when he won his first trophy I thought it was a perfect time to do a layout! So here it is! Thanks for looking!

My Little Indian Chief!

It's so fun going back thru all the old photos and seeing ones you have forgotten about! It's a little sad to. Time just flies and before you know it they are half grown! We are in the teenage years at our house and I don't know about you but it can get pretty interesting around here! So, it's nice to go back thru and remind yourself how sweet they were when they were younger (at least it helps me!!) Here is a layout I finsihed tonight and I could really tell you some funny things that happened while I was working on it but I would be letting you in on all my mistakes I made so I'll keep it a secret and maybe you won't notice hee hee. The shirt he has on in these pictures I made by taking a t-shirt cutting strips and attaching beads. I know poor kid, I sent him to school this way and at the time I thought how great of a job I had did!! One day he will probably kill me over that shirt!! Hope you enjoy and your having a great weekend. I know I am I've pretty much had the house to myself and will again tomorrow since my boys will be gone. I can play some more!!

I've Been Tagged!!!!

By ScrappinMama!!! This is my first time and oh how exciting!!! Here is the rules from what I can gather. Go to your pictures and look in your 6th folder and post your 6th picture then explain it!! So, here is my 6th picture I had! It's of my DH. His hobby is r/c cars and this is one where he won his 1st race (you couldn't have wiped that smile off if you tried!!) Now, I'm to choose 6 people that follow or visit my blog that I would like to get to know better. This is the 6 people I have chose!

Homecoming Parade

Looks like 4th of July here!! But no its just some Homecoming layouts I've done of Kyle when he was in the 1st. Him and his cousin Haley got class representatives. These were taken on 10-12-01 (only a month after the terrorist attacked the World Trade Center) So naturally we showed support by doing all patriot themes to show our support and to remember all the lives that was lost that day. Thanks for looking! Hope everyone has a great weekend!!!

You Rock!!!

I can't believe how fast this week is going! Not that I mind, it just means we're getting closer to the weekend! Anybody watching American Idol?? Yup, we haven't missed a season yet! We sure get a kick out of all the ones who think they can sing but can't carry a tune! Come on, you know they have got to be doing it just for the attention or they are truly tone deaf!!! I'm also hooked on the Bachelor this season. In my opinion this is been the best by far! I can't wait to see how it turns out. Anyhoo, I've got another layout I thought I'd share. This one is of my son and my dad. Kyle is my parents only grandson (talk about spoiled hee hee). My DH thought I was crazy going with the you rock theme but in my dads eyes he totally thinks Kyle hung the moon and vice versa. Made sense to me but may not to no one else! Well, as always I appreciate any comments you want to leave. Thanks for stopping by and be sure to come back I'm trying really hard to keep this updated!!

Jan 20, 2009

I decided today I would take a break from doing layouts and make a card! I have also signed up for a journaling tag swap and thought I better get started on these to (I have 30 to make!!) I haven't played with my stamps in what seems like forever so I went thru my stash and came across these flowers that my (not so secret)sister sent me! (Hey Tammy!!!) I tried something new (to me anyway) I stamped just directly on the card. I usually feel like I have to layer it up with paper when I make my cards but just thought I would do something different today! I would love to get some feedback on these so drop me a comment and let me know what you think. I'm pretty new to the swaps and this is my 1st journaling one so I could really use the feedback! Thanks!!! (Forgot to add that there is stickles on the card and the journaling tags but you can't tell it in the pictures) Also, I still have to add ribbon to the journaling tags!

My Everything...

Here is a picture of my sweetie. I've been doing so many pages with Kyle that I thought I might do one of my DH (don't want him to feel left out hee hee) Another reason I have some new goodies that I haven't got to play with much (ms punch, storybook) The red mesh behind the heart is from a bag of onions I bought! I went to throw it away the other day and thought hmmm I might can use that for something so this is what I came up with. The little heart up at the top is another thing I got for Christmas. It's made from a template and theres a little heart in the center that pops up (don't know if you can tell by the picture) Anyhoo, thanks for looking and hope you enjoy!!

Another Zoo layout!

Hopefully, I'm about to finish up the Zoo trip just a few more pictures and I can move on to something new! I really shouldn't complain I've had fun working with these colors. I'm hoping my next project I can find something that I like as much as these. These are made by My Minds Eye (I just love that brand!) DH went to race his r/c cars this afternoon (Kyle decided to stay home) so I got to play all afternoon (woo hoo!) I got a Pixie sewing machine for Christmas and decided to get it out since I haven't had alot of time to play with it. But it looks like I will be returning mine or should I say exchanging the foot petal stopped working. I could still use the low/high switch but the low is way, way to fast for me. Little background information...I have never sewed before. I did attempt to try but I really need the foot petal so I can go as slow as I want!! Well,it's getting close to bed time but just wanted to share these. Hope you enjoy. Any feedback would be appreciated. Hope everyone has a great Monday!!

Puppy Love!

I just think this layout is so darn cute!! I can't take credit for all of it, I scraplifted the dog! I did change the layout around to suit my needs but still need to give credit for the dog but unfortunately I can't remember the website I got it off of(so if your the one who came up with it thank you, thank you!!)

That's all the zoo ones I have done so far still have a few more to do! Hope you enjoy! Be sure to leave me some comments (go easy on me I'm still fairly new to scrapbooking lol)

I guess that's all I'm posting for tonight it's late and I've got to get to bed! Tomorrow is our anniversary! Me and DH have made it 17 years together! Who would of ever imagined we would last this long without killing each other hee hee! Just joking, he's the love of my life and I'm blessed to have him! Goodnight and hopefully I will be back on and post some more layouts that I have done!

Next Zoo layout!

Forgot to add on the picture of the last layout Kyle is sitting with his FAVORITE teacher ever! Bless Mrs. Johns she was so good with Kyle and still is to this day! Here is Kyle with posing with his buddies...he's the first one on the left!

Kyle's 1st Grade Field Trip to the Zoo!

I have started on some layouts of Kyle when he was in the first grade. Don't know why I've picked this to start with because I haven't even begun his baby pictures! I'm soooo far behind!! Just when I was going thru all the pictures these just stuck out for some reason. He's so cute in these. I sure miss this age (not that I don't love him for who he is today but boy is teenage years tuff or what?) I've done several layouts here's the first and the rest will follow! Thanks for looking!

New Years Resolution!

Well, one of my resolutions was to keep my blog updated and here it is the 9th day and I'm already behind so no promises lol. I wanted to share this card I made today for Valentines day. I have been invited to speak at our public library on scrapbooking (yikes!!!) and thought I would make up a few things to show. When Teresa (the lady over our library) called and asked me would I do it I couldn't help to laugh. I am by no means a expert scrapbooker and I'm sure there are lots of people that are more creative than me! But she explained I'm not there really to teach but just tell how I got into it and what I love about it and show some things that I use. So, that settled my nerves some. I do enjoy (more like LOVE) this craft. I am totally obsessed! Let's just keep our fingers crossed I won't pass out when the time comes!! Here's the card I made...I hope it works! I haven't quite got the blogging world mastered just yet thats a New Years Resolution also!! Thanks for dropping by!
