MCT 37th Release Blog Hop!

Hello my crafty peeps and welcome to our blog hop! You should be arriving here from my sweet friend, Micia's Blog! If you would like to start at the beginning of our hop (you don't want to miss any stops!) head to Emma's Blog :)  Today I will be featuring the new set, Winter Cheer!

I used the adorable mittens on day three's sneak so I really wanted to use the ice skates for today! I've done A LOT of heat embossing using white embossing powder on my card! I used the two different snowflakes that are included in this set and randomly stamped them on the background. I also used a sentiment from this set too! I ran my versa mark ink pad around the edges and heat embossed them too! I used the adorable ice skates dies and placed them right above the sentiment. Last, I used my white Jellyroll pen to add little dots to represent more snow.

Thank you soooo much for all the sweet comments you left this week on my projects!! I read each one and each one brightened my day! Thank you SO SO SO much :) I'm glad you stopped by today and now it's time to hop to the next stop.....Teri's Blog!

Just in case you get lost here's a complete line up!

MCT 37th Release Sneak Peek Day Four!

Good morning! Welcome back to day four of MCT sneak peeks!! Today we will be showing sneaks from two new sets, Oh Deer & Christmas Doggy!

For my card, I'm using the set, Oh Deer. This set is SO caaaa-uuute!!! To create my little scene, I first stamped the little musical note flourish that's in this set. Next, I stamped the sentiment, Let heaven & nature sing right below it (included in this set). I then added the tree (from Monday's sneak, Seasonal Greetings) and my deer (from today's sneak). I used my sponge dauber and sponged the background for my sky. I then added liquid applique for the snow and heated it to make it puff up. For the red card stock, I used the Fun Stitched Edges to make the scallop border. I used the word die, Merry and heat embossed the sentiment, Christmas (both from Tuesday's sneak, Boughs of Holly).

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you will come back tomorrow for our release blog hop! Have a AWESOME day! Hugs, Leanne

MCT 37th Release Sneak Peek Day Three!

Good morning my crafty friends!! Today is day three of MCT sneak peek week! Isn't this release AWESOME!! Today we will be featuring sneaks from another new set, Winter Cheer.

For my card, I've used the coffee cup die from the set, Coffee Break. The little heart steam is from the set, All You Need Is Coffee. The mittens, the little snowflakes stamped on the mittens, and the sentiment are all from today's sneak, Winter Cheer! Aren't those mittens soooo stinkin cute!!! I've added liquid applique to the cuffs and then with a copic marker I added shading around the cup and mittens. I liked how it came out so I decided to stop at that hee hee!

Sorry for making this a short post but I have my grand-babies! It doesn't take but a split second and there's no telling what they are in to lol! My hubby is on guard now but it takes two :) Thanks for stopping by and I'll be back tomorrow with day four sneaks!

MCT 37th Release Sneak Peek Day Two!

Hello ya'll! Welcome to day two of MCT sneak peek week! It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas....everywhere I goooooo!! I've had this song in my head (and sometimes it actually spills from my mouth bahahaha) the last week! It's funny because I've even caught my husband humming it too! I guess we are just getting in the Holiday mood early hee hee! I know with this release nobody should have a Blue Christmas that's for sure hee hee! Today we will be sharing sneaks from a set called, Boughs of Holly!

For my card, I started out by cutting a bare tree branch that I found in the Silhouette store. I then added the holly leaves and berries (these are in this new set). I then used the word Merry die and cut it three times and stamped the sentiment Christmas (these are also from this set). For the background, I sponged it using my CTMH inks and then stamped over it using the Build A Scripty & Watercolor Background stamp set. Last, I spritz it using some Sparkle Sheer Shimmer Spritz (love this stuff) I wished the photo would pick up how sparkly it is in real life darn it!!

I hope you have enjoyed my card today and I'm so glad you stopped by! I'll be back tomorrow with day three sneak! Have a AWESOME day!
Hugs, Leanne

MCT 37th Release Sneak Peek Day One

Good morning my crafty friends :) It's that time again!! It's MCT SNEAK PEEK week!!! Today we will be showing you two new sneaks called, Whimsical Trees & Seasonal Greetings!

Okay, you know my obsession with trees?! I'm over the moon excited with these two sets!! Just look at the stitching...LOVE :) Anyhoo, on with the details! To start with, I used one of the circles from the Bunch of Fun Circle die set to make my circle on my white card stock. I embossed it using my Swiss Dots embossing folder. Next, I took the circle (the one that was cut out) and sponged my night sky. I made my snow using my white Jelly roll pen. I then cut one more circle and used the Fun Stitched Edges die set to make my snow banks. I did pop the top layer up for dimension. I cut two of the Christmas trees from this new release and placed them down. I then cut another thin strip of white card stock and stamped my sentiment on. I used my white Jellyroll pen again to make some stitching around the edges.

Thanks for stopping by! Be sure to visit Emma's Blog to see what she and the design team made using these two new sets! I'll see you back here tomorrow for day two sneaks :)
Hugs, Leanne

MCT What a Treat Wednesday!

Good morning! Today is What a Treat Wednesday over at My Creative Time! I haven't made any 3-D crafts in awhile so forgive me, mine is SUPER simple lol!!

I decided to make this to show my mom! I thought it might be something she would like to give to her Sunday school ladies for Christmas. This is just a quick sample I did up to show her. If she decides to go this route I'm going to fancy them up some more hee hee. Plus, I just used regular Lipton tea for a example. I'm sure she will get some type of flavored tea or as I call it "fancy" tea lol! I found this file in the Silhouette store and it's super easy to put together! It came with a scallop tag but I did leave that part off so I could decorate the front using MCT goodies! I used the two labels that layer in the Stitched Rectangular Frame & more die set to add my cute little cup to :) The sentiment and cup are from the set, All You Need Is Coffee stamp & die set. The ribbon is from my stash!

Here's another view from the side :)

I wasn't joking when I said super simple! This seriously was a quick project (I almost feel ashamed lol) I do think these would be cute little Christmas presents! I've got some other ideas up my sleeve to show her to so stay tuned I'll share them here too! Thanks for stopping by! Have a GREAT day!

MCT Made In Minutes Monday

Good morning crafty friends! I hope everyone had a AWESOME weekend! I did, just wished they didn't go by so fast! Today is Made In Minutes Monday over at My Creative Time (I dare you to say that really fast 5x's hee hee) Anyhoo, today is where we make a project not just to see how fast we can but one that would be easy to duplicate in matter of minutes.

For my card, I found this ghost in the Silhouette Store but I'm sure you could find one either on a cricut cartridge or maybe even a freebie on the internet! For this one, I hid his face using the Silhouette software so I could use PK-1400 Clowning Around face assortment. I used my copics to color and then added liquid glass. The spiderwebs and spider are from the die set, Wicked Fun. I used the layering labels in the Stitched Rectangular Frames & More set to stamp my sentiment on. The sentiment is from Fright Night. I couldn't get this to show up in my picture but before I put my ghost down I misted the background (spider webs & spider to) with Shimmer Spritz. I also went over the sentiment with a wink of stella pen. I wished you could see it :( It's all sparkly in real life!!

As always, thank you for stopping by today! I hope you like my card! Have a GREAT crafty fun filled day!

MCT Designer Challenge Thursday!

Good morning all my crafty friends! Today is Designer Challenge Thursday at My Creative Time! I decided to go with the sketch challenge....

For my card, I used the Piles of Smiles stamp set for my wagon scene. I used my copic markers to color. The sentiment is also from this stamp set. I used the Stitched Decorative Banner dies and instead of adding them to the side I added mine to the bottom (such a rebel bahahaha). I used my scor pal to score my lines. I thought it might make it look more elegant but now not sure if I should have tried something different! I always second guess myself!! Anyhoo, can you believe I used some pattern paper?!!! Yup, talk about living life on the edge! I don't know what got in me but yes, I was able to break out some scraps from my stash without going into panic mode lol!

Don't forget to head over to Emma's Blog to see what she and the other design team made! I'm sure they won't disappoint they NEVER do!! Thanks for stopping by!

Inspiration Wednesday!

Good morning peeps! Welcome to Inspiration Wednesday at My Creative Time!! This is one of my favorite things we do and I'm always excited when I see that I'm scheduled for this day!! If your not familiar with Inspiration Wednesday it's where we can make any project of our choice using something that inspired us to make it.

I get TONS of my inspiration from Pinterest! I absolutely love that site! Matter of fact, I stay on Pinterest wayyyy to much hee hee! Not only do you find gorgeous projects, new techniques, and tutorials there's lots of AWESOME recipes too! Anyhoo, I found this the other day...

I thought these were so cute! That's when it hit me!! I may not can make them with wood but by golly I can with paper!!! To start with, I used one of the tags from the Tag Dies. I added my googly eyes and then decided my kitty needed a nose and whiskers! I used PK-138 Kitty Tear Face parts for mine. My nose smeared just a bit but I figure it just gives him a little bit more personality! Or at least that's what I kept telling myself to keep from throwing him away! I also used my white ink and sponged around the sides and a little for his ears. The spooky background and the sentiment is from the set, Spooky Starry Night stamp set. I didn't have any raffia like above but I think the Medium Stitched Scallop bow turned out just as cute! I have used the new Stitched Rectangular Frame dies so much that I have tons of little frames that I have saved! I used one here to add a frame :) Here's another peek at it from the side...

Well, I hope you like my little tag turned kitty! I had fun making him! Be sure to visit Emma's Blog to see what she and the other design team Ladies made and what they used as their inspiration! Have a AWESOME day and thanks for stopping by! Hugs, Leanne

MCT Trending Now Thursday!

Good morning! I hope everyone is having a AWESOME week :) Today starts something new over at My Creative Time called Trending Now Thursday! This is where we will feature something that is HOT right now! We will be doing this once a month. For this month, we are using gold (metallic) somewhere in our projects.

For my card, I started by using a rectangular die from the die set, Stitched Rectangular Frames And More. I then stamped a background using the Grainy Wood Background stamp. The deer head silhouette is from the Silhouette store. I'm in LOVE with the new leaves from the, A Thankful Heart set! The leaves are absolutely GORGEOUS!!  I inked them in various fall colors and then used a embossing pen to outline the edges and also the "veins". I then heat embossed using gold embossing powder. They really are nice and shiny in real life just not showing  up so well in my pictures :( I used the layering label dies in the Stitched Rectangular Frames and More set and stamped a sentiment that is also included. I heat embossed the sentiment too using gold embossing powder.

Thank you for stopping by today! Hugs, Leanne
