MCT Scrappy Monday!!

Good morning peeps!! I hope you all have had a wonderful weekend! I had a very uneventful weekend (which in my house is a AWESOME thing!) Today is Scrappy Monday over at My Creative Time! We were asked to pick a letter and then incorporate it into our layout!

For my layout, I chose the letter "P", pattern paper, punch, paint splatter, polaroid die (ok, I know that was 4! I went over one hee hee) Did I ever mention how HARD it is for me to photograph layouts?!?! If I hadn't let me just tell you now! I have the hardest time photographing layouts so please forgive the picture! It actually looks better in real life! I also "tried" a clean and simple layout! I'm not sure if I accomplished it and it was so hard not to keep adding things (look at all that white space ACK!!) Let me go ahead and give you a close up and then I'll give you the details on how I made it!

Sniff, sniff I love this picture of my son but it also makes me sad! I miss my "little" boy! He's 18 now and will turn 19 this February! Anyhoo, I used the polaroid die from the Just Simply Live set. I love this die and it works great for cropping your picture! The pattern paper is some I've had FOREVER and I found it in my stash! I'm pretty sure it's some that came from Hobby Lobby! I used the Martha Stewart drippy goo punch. I used it because I thought it looked like paint drippings too! I then stamped one of the background stamps from Emma's, Script Type Background set. I used CTMH's ink in the color Pear. I also have been dying to use one of my new stamp sets from Close To My Heart called, Instant Memories. The flourishes and paint splatters (that's what I'm calling them for this layout hee hee) are both from this set! I used Indian Corn Summer ink (the blue) by CTMH for the flourishes and one of the splatters. The sentiment at the bottom is from Encouraging Quotes. The word Create is from Inspiring Words. I used the alphabet in Just Simply Live to spell out Kyle's name and I plan on going back and doing the year (just got to figure that one out! arrr for not doing a better job of writing dates on pictures!!)

That's it for my easy peasy, super simple and quick layout!! I hope you like it :) Today is the last day I have to meet my goal for CTMH and I'm pretty sure I'm not going to make it :(  That's ok, I guess I just need to work harder :) I have till around midnight tonight so if you have anything on your wish list and want to place a order I sure would appreciate it! Here is the link to my CTMH Online Website! Thanks for looking and have a AWESOME Monday!! Hugs, Leanne

Ho Ho Ho!!

Hey everyone! I'm popping back in with a quick card to show you! I wanted to make something up real quick using the Perfect Fit Frames set that I'm giving away! This set coordinates with the Art Philosophy cartridge. I know some of you may already have this set. It's one of the stamp sets that is included when you purchase the cartridge. But for those of you that don't have the cartridge it's still a awesome set that you can use by hand cutting the image out! I'm giving this set to the 4th person that places a $25 order from my Close To My Heart website!

For the inside of the frame, I used the stamp set, Perfect Fit Holidays. I decided just to stamp directly onto the frame instead of making a separate layer for the circle. I've used Desert Sand and Cranberry Close To My Heart ink! I love these two colors together! The Santa Claus is from the Christmas Cheer set and I've colored him my copics. I've also added liquid applique to his hat, sleeves, & mustache. I've used two different embossing folders swiss dots and the other one is by the Paper Studio. I found it at Hobby Lobby and I am so sorry but I can't remember the name of it :(

Like I said this was just a quick card I wanted to put together just to show you how pretty the frames in this stamp set were!  I would so appreciate if there is anything you can do to help me reach my goal by Monday!  Also, if there are any questions you have about any of the product just let me know and I'll be more than happy to help you!! Thank you for looking and enjoy the rest of your weekend! Hugs, Leanne

My Creative Time's 3D Wednesday!

Good morning! I hope everyone is having a great week and to those that are not HANG IN just TWO more days till the weekend hee hee! Today is 3D Wednesday over at My Creative Time and our challenge this time was to make a Christmas ornament!!

I had so much fun making this ornament! I started by making the rosette from the Artiste cartridge on page 50 under the card feature. Then on page 56, I used the shape found on Accent 1. I used the coordinating stamp set from Close To My Heart, Pirouette and stamped it with Cranberry CTMH ink. I also used this shape again on the very back. I used My Creative Time, Scallop & Stitched circle dies to stamp my sentiment on. The circle sentiment and little jingle bell are from MCT's, It's A Magical Season set. For the circle sentiment, I used the Cranberry ink again and on the bell, I used Desert Sand. The gold ribbon is some I picked up at Hobby Lobby. I then used the jingle bell die from the Warm Holiday Fun set and attached them so they would dangle at the bottom. Here's a little closer view of Emma's stamps & dies....

I'm sorry I've been a little MIA on my blog this week! Life is kinda got in the way of my crafting time lol! I hope to get some playing time in soon! Thanks for looking and have a AWESOME day! Hugs, Leanne

My Creative Time Halloween Blog Hop!!

Good morning and Happy Friday! Welcome to Day 2 of My Creative Time's Halloween Blog Hop! If you are arriving here from Emma's Blog your at the right spot! I LOVED Emma and the design team's day one projects and I'm sure today won't be disappointing either! They ALWAYS amaze me with their craftiness!

For the above card, I used Emma's, Treats For My Sweet. I did some masking and stacked my pumpkins and the little spooky black cat peeking out onto some water color paper. The reason I used the water color paper, I wanted to use my new waterbrush from CTMH! I filled my waterbrush up with water and then took my Autumn Terracotta ink pad and squeezed it a tad. By doing this it allowed me to pick up the ink with the brush and paint (hope that made sense lol) I did the same with the stem & leaves (I used Pear & Saddle) I then outlined with my black pen to help them stand out. I also added clear stickles to their eyes, nose, & mouth to give them a glow! I used my copics to color my ground. The little bats are also from the Treats for My Sweet set. I already had the fence (Martha Stewart) and grass (Fiskars) left from another project I was going to use them on but changed my mind. I used the Stitched oval die to stamp the sentiment onto and the sentiment is also from the Treats for my Sweet set!

Here is another card I made using the Treats For My Sweet set and the A Frightful Affair cartridge!

I hope no one is getting tired of me making scene cards! It seems to be all I'm wanting to do lately :) But for this card I did decide to use my A Frightful Affair cartridge since it won't be long it will have to sit on the shelf for next Halloween! I added a extra mound of dirt using the Paper Dolls Cartridge. I started out by trying to add some shadows with my copics (the layer that belongs to the cut from A Frightful Affair) but didn't like how it was looking so I wounded up just coloring over the whole thing :( Let's just say that's FRESH dirt bahahaha! The spiders, spider web, black cat, bats, and sentiment are all from Treats For My Sweet. I used my CTMH ink (Outdoor Denim & GoldRush) to create my background. I used pop dots on the tombstone and mound of dirt to add some dimension. Here is a picture from the side...

Thanks for looking and now it's time to hop along to Liz's Blog!

Wishing You a Happy Holiday Season

Hi everyone! I hope your having a GREAT Monday! I have a Christmas card I'd like to share with you today! I know, I know Halloween is not even here yet and I'm thinking Christmas hee hee!! It will be here before we know it!

I've had a lot on my mind over the past several days and really been struggling just to make anything :( It's hard to craft when your feeling blue (hmmm I wonder if that's why I chose the color blue hee hee) Anyway, I knew if I could just sit down and play it would help me take my mind off of things. Believe me I've tried for days to do this but wasn't having any luck! So today, I was determined to try to forget my problems and just PLAY!

I've really been having fun using my new CTMH ink pads! I've now got several colors and hoping that before long I'll have them all (just don't tell the hubby lol) I've used a new embossing folder I picked up at Hobby Lobby called Doodle Frame, by The Paper Studio. The tree stamp is by DRS Designs called, Triple Tree with Snow. It's hard to see in my photo. I'm not sure if it was the lighting when I took the picture but you can see it in real life! I used my sponge dauber and Outdoor Denim for my background. I then applied liquid applique for the snow. I love how that stuff puffs up hee hee!! The deer is from the Wildlife cricut cartridge. I hand cut a piece of card stock to place in front of them to make it look like they are behind a snow mound. The sentiment is from CTMH Pear & Partridge Workshop on the Go

Thanks for looking! Hugs, Leanne

I'm entering this card in Challenge #87 over at the Sweet Stamps Blog!

Happy Haunting!

Hi! I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend! I have a card I'd like to share with you today using two of the CTMH Workshops on the Go, Moonlight and Pear & Partridge. I made this card several days ago and forgot to post it :( I thought now would be a great time since I haven't posted anything in a while!

I've been wanting to try making a "spooky" background for a while and still not sure if I captured it just right hee hee! It looks like the moon is on fire lol!! I started out by cutting a circle from the George and Basic shape cartridge to use as my mask. I then sponged around the edges with CTMH Autumn Terracotta, GoldRush, and Smokey Plum. I learned a awesome tip from my bud Nikki, I used my black pen to outline around the circle before removing it. That makes it stand out more! If you want to see a great masking tutorial click here for Nikki's tutorial! After I finished the background, I used the branch from the Pear & Partridge Workshop on the Go. I stamped it three different times and in different lengths. The little owl is from the Moonlight Workshop on the Go. I stamped it on a separate piece of paper and then hand cut it out.
The little bats are from My Creative Time, Treats For My Sweet. The sentiment is from the Moonlight Workshop on the Go.

I linked all the items I've used to make this card to my online website in case you see something you like! If you haven't seen this month's stamp of the month be sure to check it out also. It coordinates with the Artiste cartridge and will be one you will want to have for Christmas! Also, don't forget about my giveaway! Thanks for looking! Hugs, Leanne

MCT 3D Wednesday!

Good morning and welcome to MCT 3D Wednesday!! Our challenge this time was to make a Home Decor project using any of MCT stamps! I decided I would make a little frame that I can sit out for the Holidays!

For my frame, I used Happy Hauntings, Elegant Edges, Gypsy Wanderings, and the Artiste cartridge. Instead of using the shape shown for the frame on the Happy Hauntings cartridge I decided to use this one from Elegant Edges! The inside shape (from the music sheet paper) is also from Elegant Edges. The branch was cut from Gypsy Wanderings. I just love these adorable ornament dies! They are from the Warm Holiday Fun stamp set! The set also includes stamps that let you decorate the ornaments! I used a different one on each one and heat embossed using gold embossing powder. I also like how Emma included what I'm going to call the string to hang the ornaments! I used some twine that my bestie sent me for the little bows! I used some Dew Drops from the Robins Nest to add a little bit more bling! I then used Emma's Fancy Frame Stamp & Die set to stamp my sentiment on. The sentiment is also from the Warm Holiday Fun set. It still felt like it needed something else so I cut my FAVORITE bow from the Artiste cartridge! I added a dew drop to the center of it also. Here is a closer look at the adorable ornaments!! Don't you just love the stitches on these!!

Here is a view from the side...

That's it! Hope you like my little home decor project! Thanks for looking and have a AWESOME day! Hugs, Leanne

If you haven't seen...I've got a giveaway going on!!! Click here for more details!!

Happy Holidays!

Hello peeps! I hope you are having a FANTASTIC Tuesday! I decided to get a little inky today! My cricut is sleeping peacefully and I sure hated to bother it hee hee (other words I was to lazy to turn it on!) It also may be because I have NEW stamps I've been wanting to play with and just haven't had the chance!!

For my card today, I've used the stamp set from the Workshop on the Go, Pear & Partridge cardmaking kit
I've only used the stamp set to create this card but let me just say the paper included is really gorgeous! I stamped the branch along the side of the card in different lengths. I then stamped the little strings where I wanted my ornaments to hang from. Some of the ornaments I stamped directly onto the card stock where others I stamped onto another piece and hand cut them out. I then added glossy accents over the ornaments to give them a shine! I stamped the two partridges and added a little bit of details to them using my Gold Uniball pen. The sentiment I used is included in this set!

I used several different colors of Close to my Heart's ink pads for my card!
Z2173 - Slate
Z2118 - Desert Sand
Z2116 Cranberry
Z2111 - Chocolate

Don't forget about my giveaway I have going on!!
 Thanks for looking! Hugs, Leanne

PKS October Sneaks! Aw...Nuts!

Hello everyone! I hope everyone has had a great week so far! I can definitely tell that Fall is just right around the corner here. I can't decide if I'm happy about it or not. I love the cooler days and the trees changing colors but I can't block out the thought WINTER is right afterwards! I so do not like cold weather!! But...as my sweet Mother would say I have no control over it so enjoy each day and make the best out of it!

This week is Peachy Keen's October sneak peek week and WOW have the peeks been awesome or what!! This release is absolutely adorable and I know it's one you will want to add to your collection! It's my turn to share my peek over on the Peachy Keen Blog today! I made a card using the newest Peachy Keen stamp club set and several of the past sets too!

Before I get started with the details let me give a shout out to my bud Nikki (aka Scrappin' Navy Wife) She did a technique tutorial the other day (HERE) that inspired me! Well, let's just say everything the lady does inspires me but this day I acted on it hee hee! Her tutorial was on stamping, masking, and paper piecing and if you haven't seen it be sure too it's awesome! I really loved the idea of making a mask from a die!

Ok, so let me get started and hopefully I will make sense! This card didn't go exactly as planned!! I'll try to explain what led up to what you see! I started off using a Spellbinder Grand Nestibility die (the larger dies) called Grand Labels One for my mask. I then stamped the PK-107 Cloudy Day background inside the shape. Here's where things went a bit South for me! I got ink on the outside or under my mask so totally screwed it up! I then just cut the shape out! Before I glued it onto another piece of white card stock, I stamped the tree from PK-120 Home Tweet Home and paper pieced it. I then glued it down! I used the Fiskars grass border punch for my grass. I stamped the adorable little chipmunk and also paper pieced it. I added a little twine bow. I also added a little clear gem to the bow using my I-Rock. I paper pieced several little nuts that are included in the stamp club set (one for her to hold and the rest to arrange around my sentiment). The AW...Nuts sentiment is also included in the new stamp club set but the rest of the sentiment is from PK-105 Happy Hour. The whole sentiment reads "I'm late, I'm late...Hope your birthday was great!!" I masked off the second part and added that to the inside of my card. I added some glossy accents to my chipmunks eyes and her tooth! Last, I added some faux stitching.

Whew, I sure hope that made sense hee hee!! I had some major bumps in making the card but I still like how it came out in the end and I hope you do too! Thanks for looking and I hope you have a AWESOME day! Hugs, Leanne

MCT 3D Wednesday!

Good morning my friends! Today is 3D Wednesday over at My Creative Time and I have a quick project I'd like to share with you! I had intentions on making something to go with this tag but time has gotten away from me :(  Our challenge this time was to make anything 3D but to include buttons somewhere on your project.

I haven't made a tag in a while and Emma's tags she made for the Beary Special Blog Hop inspired me to pull out her Tag Dies and make one! I also have been wanting to use my new cartridge Trick or Treat that I've had probably well over a month but waiting on PC to do a update on the Gypsy to use it! My paper is from the CTMH Moonlighting Work Shop on the Go! I used MCT Treats For My Sweets for the sentiment and the cute little bats she has flying around her head (hmmmm would this mean she's batty like me bahahaha) I also decided I wanted a happy witch instead of a old grouch witch so I used one of the sweet faces from September's Stamp Club PKSC-09! The ribbon is from HL and the button is from my stash. The jute is from Liz's Paper Boutique and sniff sniff this is the last of it :( Here's a close up picture of my tag!

Be sure to head over to Emma's Blog to see what her and the other designers made! Thanks for looking!
Hugs, Leanne
