MCT Pinterest Challenge!

Hello everyone! I hope your having a fabulous Monday! I'm going to have to keep this short. I smashed my thumb yesterday and OUCH it hurts to type! I just wanted to quickly share the card I made for Emma's Pinterest Challenge! I LOVE Pinterest and could easily browse for hours looking at all the talented work of others! I see so many things that gives me inspiration or a idea!

Here is the LINK to what inspired me with my card today! I absolutely LOVE this card! Matter of fact, I really need to track down all the supplies to make one just like it hee hee! Anyhoo, that's what brought this card to life in my head! I used A Child's Year for the little boy on the scooter and Paper Doll Dress Up for the bushes. I hand cut the little strip to make it look like a sidewalk. I used my Scor Pal to score lines and then I inked them with silver. I added some silver brads to the wheels. The paper is from the Imagine cartridge, Lori's Garden. The hemp is from Liz's Boutique. I used one of the newest releases, Just Simply Live for the sentiment. I also used the tape die that is included in the set to emboss it on!

Thank you so much for looking! Hugs, Leanne

MCT Scrappy Monday!

Happy Monday ya'll! I hope you enjoyed your weekend! Mine was super busy but also lots of fun! I got to spend half the day on Saturday going to garage sales and the evening we had a family night out! We went out to eat and then played putt putt golf! We had a ball and guess what?! I didn't come in last like I normally do hee hee!! I wished I would have had my camera with me! It was definitely one of those scrapbook moments!

Today is MCT Scrappy Monday! Let me just say, I freaked a little knowing I had to get a layout done! I haven't did any layouts in like FOREVER!! Luckily, Emma provided us with a sketch and that helped! But finding pictures and paper is a NIGHTMARE for me!! I have a lot of pictures that I've saved to CD's and freaked out when I couldn't get any to open on my computer! I'm still trying to figure out why :( I then had to start going through pictures in boxes (note to self...ORGANIZE!!) and ran across this picture of my son! I'm not going to win any Mother of the Year award. Dummy me didn't write his age on the back and now I'm not exactly sure how old he was here! That's why there is no journaling! I'm going to have to research it hahaha! Next, I had to pick out paper (again so not good with that) I have found lately just going with the Imagine is much simple then digging through all my paper stacks and loose sheets! I went with the Imagine cartridge, Mr. Frosty! I used several of MCT sets to complete this layout! The sentiment, Magical Holiday, stockings, & ornaments are from the Warm Holiday Fun set. I used the XL Label die, Cherish This Moment, & Whimsical Calendar Days for my journaling spot. The bow is from the Close To My Heart, Artisite cartridge. I'm ADDICTED to these bows! I'm serious I want to stick them on EVERYTHING now!! I know it doesn't look like this layout took very long to make but can you believe it took me nearly a day!!  I'm so rusty when it comes to layouts!!! I'm glad Emma is doing Scrappy Monday's! I'm hoping this will help me get more layouts completed (I'm only 18 years behind lol)

Before I go, I have several reminders for ya!

CTMH AP & Artiste Blog Hop

If your looking for the Peachy Keen Challenge Post Click HERE!

Good morning and welcome to the Close To My Heart Art Philosophy and Artiste Blog Hop! If you are visiting from Vanessa's Blog then you are in the right place! If not, please click HERE to start at the beginning! I was super excited when I got invited to do this hop! There is still so much to explore on the Artiste cartridge and any excuse to get to use it, I'm game! I hope you are inspired by the wonderful projects you will be seeing using the Art Philosophy and Artiste cartridge!

For my card, I've used the new Artiste cartridge. I have the Art Philosophy on my wish list (along with a gazillion other CTMH products hee hee) and I have my fingers crossed it won't be long and I can order it! My Brother's Birthday is just right around the corner and I wanted to make him a card! I love the papers from the Avonlea Paper Packet (X7155B)! I thought they would be perfect for him! Plus, at the present moment that's the only collection I have bahahhaa! I told ya I have a gazillion things on my wish list and more paper is one of them!!! Anyhoo, I also used the stamp set, D1529 the Cricut Artiste collection, Birthday! This is one of the sets that is included when you purchase the Artiste cartridge! I love having sets that you can use with your cricut cuts!

Here is a picture of the card and the envelope! I used on page 52, Accent 4 to make my card base! On this page, there are nine different card bases to choose from and they are all soooo cool! I love that it has a envelope feature that will fit the cards! It's on the card feature key! I found the matching cut (for the center) on page 77 under the Accent 1 key. I then stamped by image using a CTMH stamp pad in the color Chocolate (X5643)

This picture gives you a little better view of the card folded out! The sentiment is from the same set, D1529 Cricut Artiste collection, Birthday! I've also cut a balloon from page 70 using my cricut. Since this is double sided paper, I decided to use the back side to mix it up a bit! The ivory card stock is also part of the Avonlea paper packet (X7155B)! My Brother will be 48 this year (oh and by the way, I'm the youngest hee hee) and I thought the Complements Canvas Shapes from the Avonlea collection (X7155C) would be great to use on the balloon! I again, used the reverse side of the paper to cut strips to go along the bottom!

I hope you have gotten some inspiration from my card today! It was super fun to make! Thanks so much for visiting me today in the blog hop! Browse around and if you like what you see I would LOVE for you to become a follower! Have a awesome day! Hugs, Leanne

Just a little recap of the products I've used on my card and these all can be purchased from my CTMH Online Store!

Peachy Keen Challenge

GOOD morning peeps! Today starts a new challenge over on the Peachy Keen Blog! It's a fun one too! Just make a card or layout (you pick) of the below sketch!

I've been using my Imagine lately so all my papers are from the Imagine cartridge, Spring Chic! I didn't get a chance during the release to play with the PK-127 Sandwich Fun set so I was itching to use it!! Aren't those pieces of toast tooooo stinking cute!! I wanted to make them a couple so I added a bow to one and added a little pearl to the center of it. I also love the faces in this set! I added some glossy accents to their teeth and some chalk for blush! Kinda makes them look a little toasted bahahaha!! The twine was sent to me by my bestie!! Last, I added faux stitching!

Head on over to the Blog and check out what the other designers made and then be sure to play along with us! I can't wait to see what you make using this sketch! Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a AWESOME weekend! Hugs, Leanne

Fontopia Cartridge!!

Hello everyone! I hope your having a wonderful day! It's my turn over on the Memory Miser Blog to share some projects I've made using the Fontopia cartridge!

For my first card (up above) I used the Crest Layer/Card feature on page 75! I really liked the shape of this card and it was super easy with all the layering! I used my Imagine and the Imagine cartridge, Notebook Doodles for the background and banner paper. I also used another cartridge, A Frightful Affair for the palm reader. I used the hide contour feature on my Gypsy and used a face from PK-660 Laughy Taffy assortment! I've also used some glossy accents on the crystal ball!  The sentiment, bats, and the little spider are from My Creative Time, Treats for my Sweet set! Here is a side view picture..

For my next project, I had so much fun using the card shape I decided to try another one!

You can find this Crest Layer/Card on page 61 of the Fontopia handbook! I guess you can tell I was in the Halloween mood lol! I went with another Halloween themed card! I also used the A Frightful Affair cartridge on this card! I loved the title with the ghost peeking behind! SPOOKY!!! I also used My Creative, Treats for My Sweets set on this card also! I used her Curly Label die also to stamp it on. I also added faux stitches on the Happy Haunting with my StarDust jelly roll pen.

Ok, I've saved my favorite project for last! I picked up a frame at a garage sale this past weekend  for .25! It was just screaming to come home with me hee hee! Here is what I made using my bargain find!

I made this for our bedroom using the letter G from the Fontopia cartridge! I also used my Imagine cartridge, Lori's Garden for all the pattern paper and the card stock! I embossed the back two layers using my cuttlebug! The bow is from the Close To My Heart, Artiste cartridge! I'm addicted to these bows!! I really like how this turned out and I'm planning now on making several of these for Christmas gifts!

I hope you have enjoyed my projects I've made using the Fontopia cartridge! You can purchase this cartridge here! Thanks for looking! Hugs, Leanne

p.s. don't forget about my giveaway!!!!

MCT Sneak Peek!

Hello and Happy Thursday! I hope you are having a wonderful day! I've been without internet this morning Eekkk!! Totally NOT how I wanted my day to start out hee hee! I've upgraded to U-Verse but didn't think it would take effect till tonight and assumed I would have internet till the switch another NOT!! Soooo a phone call and several transfers later here I am!!

I was having trouble sleeping last night so I decided to head to my craft room and play a bit! I thought I would experiment with one of Emma's newest sets, Piles of Smiles! I just love the leaf dies that are included! Funny thing, I started out with a WHOLE different direction than what you are looking at now! I started cutting out the leaves (to use) then noticed how cool just the card stock looked with the leaves gone! The card stock I started with was white and then I backed it with some gold card stock. Before I added the gold card stock, I took out my Tim Holtz distress ink and directly applied Vintage Photo and Mustard Seed. I kinda got a little crazy with my faux stitching and it was late and some of the stitches are are little wobbly hee hee!! After the gold card stock was added, I decided I had to give the leaves some cute faces! I used Peachy Keen, PK-293 The Cornies Face Assortment (they always crack me up and put a smile on my face lol) I colored their eyes with my white jelly roll pen and also added glossy accents. I then stamped my sentiment which is included in this set also!!

Now onto my next project! I had several leaves that I needed to do something with so here is how I used those!

I used two of Emma's newest dies, Card Sentiments which includes this 3x3 Fancy Tri-fold card and the 3x3  Fancy Envelope Die! I was SOOOO excited when I saw these dies!! I've been wanting something like this FOREVER!!! Now making 3x3 cards will be a BREEZE!! The wagon is also from the Piles of Smiles stamp set I just replaced the hay with my leaves!! I used my Tim Holtz ink to color the leaves. I had cut out a small bow from the Artiste cartridge and didn't use it the other day so I decided to add that on as well! Here's the inside!

I couldn't get a great picture and the lighting was all off :( There is also another leaf when you open up the bottom flap and I've used a sentiment from the Piles of Smiles set here too!!

Last night ended my Online Party so stayed tuned I will be drawing a winner soon! If you would like to have a online party to earn free hostess awards contact me and we can get another party started!! Don't forgot about the new promotion and learn how to get a double stamp set for $5!! I'm here anytime if you need me! Thanks for looking and I will see you back here tomorrow for our Blog Hop!! Hugs, Leanne

Gooood morning peeps! How is everyone this morning! I'm up bright and early and raring to go! I was told over the weekend that I was way to chipper of a person early in the morning! My son, his girlfriend, and I got up and went to some yard sales on Saturday and was up and gone by 6 in the morning! I'm all smiles and giggles while them two was complete zombies hahaha!! I am a morning person and wake up 99.9% of the time with a smile on my face!! It's something my husband or son really need to learn to do :) My son is usually cranky till he gets good and awake. My husband is just really quiet and won't say a lot when he first gets up! It makes it really hard on me because I wake up usually singing hahahaha!! Anyhoo, I'm up and ready for this beautiful day!!

This week you are in for a real treat! Emma's release is going to completely knock your socks off so be prepared! This is one of her biggest releases yet and just may have to be my favorite too! Today we are featuring a set called, Piles of Smiles! Just wait till you see the whole set and I think you will agree the name suits it perfect! My assigned sentiment is Give Thanks! For my card above, I wanted to use another one of the card features from the new CTMH Artiste cartridge! This one is found on page 69 of the handbook! I also used the Old West cartridge for the fence. The grass is a Fiskars punch. The cute little turkey is one of the included images on this set also! I paper pieced him and then stamped my sentiment on his sign that he's holding!! The grass and the turkey are both raised up using pop dots. I then added some faux stitching around the edges. Now onto the inside!!

I've used one of Emma's older releases, Race For A Cure for the first sentiment, I'm a Survivor! I just had to giggle as I was stamping it! Poor turkey! You know Thanksgiving is not his favorite Holiday bahahaha!  I have two more sneaks on this tag (shhhh don't tell the boss lady hee hee) the leaves and the other sentiment Happy Thanksgiving! OMG! you will flip out over the leaf die! It's so cute and cuts so beautifully! I also used some twine that my Bestie Debbie sent me!! Thank you so much Debbie!! I wub u bunches!!

I hope you have enjoyed my sneak and be sure to check out Emma and the other design team members blogs today! They will also be sharing sneaks from the Piles of Smiles set and as always they blow me away with their talent!!

Just a friendly reminder, my Close to My Heart Online party ends in just a few days!! If you haven't got your Artiste cartridge or even if your new to CTMH and would like to try some of their amazing products I would LOVE for you to visit my CTMH website! Don't Worry! Be Happy!

Good morning peeps! Wooo Hooooo it's Fridayyyyy!!! Do you have big plans for the weekend? I think this might just be one of those kick back and relax weekends for me! My hubby has a race and will be gone  on Saturday and it's just to hot for me to tag along! Sooo if all goes in my favor I'm hoping to get some playing time!

Today is my turn to post on the Peachy Keen Blog and it's also the start of a new challenge! This challenge is  called...Just Cards - Popped Up! Create a card using any image that can be popped up. You can achieve this by using foam tape, pop dots, or dimensional glue dots. I love using pop dots so that's what I've used on my little bee!

I started out by making my card base using the new CTMH Artiste cartridge! The shape I've used on the front (where I've stamped my sentiment) is also from the cartridge. The sentiment is from PKSC- July. My little bee's are from Create A Critter. I've used one of my favorite sets, PK-112 Cherub faces. I just love how sweet the faces makes my bee's! The pattern paper is from the Imagine cartridge, Spring Chic. Here is a side view....

And now my favorite part the inside!

The inside is the layer for the card base! This is part of the Artiste cartridge!!!! It has this one and another one that says LOVE!  The little bee's and the bee hive are from Create A Critter. I wasn't able to pop the bee's up this time because the card wouldn't shut (ask me how I know lol) The pattern paper I used for the inside is from the Imagine Hopscotch cartridge.

Well, I guess that's all the details on my card but before I leave I still wanted to remind you about my Online CTMH party! It ends August 15th! I hope that you have enjoyed my projects I've been making with the new Artiste cartridge! If you haven't already ordered yours and want to head over to my CTMH website and purchase yours today! Thanks for looking! Have a AWESOME weekends my friends! Hugs, Leanne

Another Artiste Project!!

Good evening everyone! That sounds strange, I'm usually saying good morning! I hope everyone's Tuesday has been a good one! I've had some "me" time today and I've been playing in my craft room! I was able to get this project done and one more that I can't post till Friday! If I'm lucky I might just have time to play a little bit more tonight hee hee!

What started off as just one project turned into two! I made the cute little box with the decorative flap (found on page 52 of the Artiste handbook). I've been hoarding saving this paper pack from The Paper Studio called Farm Fresh! One day I plan to make me a recipe book using this paper stack (I really, really am!!) So it was really difficult cutting into it now hee hee (FYI I SURVIVED bahahaha) Anyhoo, I decided I could turn this little box into a place to keep recipes and little notes that I need to make! My rooster is from the Animal Kingdom cartridge and I've cut each of his layer about 6 times to make it sturdy like chipboard. His cute little face is from PK-751 Animal Faces Medium. I've used some twine to tie a little bow around his tail!  I haven't added a closure yet to the flap. I'm planning on looking for some small little magnets on my next trip into town. For now the rooster is helping keep it closed. The sign is from October 31st and it's also cut in several layers to make it sturdy. I've used My Creative Time's, Honey Do List for the sentiment. The ground I hand cut from some kraft card stock but the grass is from Paper Dolls cartridge. Here is more pictures of the box by itself...

Next, I made this little notepad to match! I cut some index cards to fit my box above and the extra turned out just the right size for a notepad (that's how this second project was born hee hee) I used some cereal boxes for my covers and used my scraps from the box to cover (see I was bound and determined not to waste any of this paper bahahaha) I used my Cinch to bind it together. The roosters head is also from Animal Kingdom. I've cut it several times like I did the other one to make it nice and thick! I used PK-755 Critter Faces Large  for the face. I mounted this on a piece of kraft card stock that I inked with my new CTMH stamp pad in Chocolate!! I love their ink!! I used it to stamp the sentiments and oh my I'm in LOVE!!! Here is some pictures of my notepad...

Now one more little last thing that you can't see because it's inside my box....

Aren't these folders ADORABLE!!! Just think with the 12x24 inch mat you won't ever have to buy another folder again!!! This cartridge is just loaded with everything you can possibly think of! I haven't even scratched the surface of what all it has! If you would like to purchase Artiste you can do so by heading over to MY WEBSITE now!! I'm having a ONLINE PARTY and someone will be the lucky winner of the Hostess rewards!! But you better hurry party ends August 15th!! Thanks for looking and I hope you enjoy the rest of the evening! Haunting Thoughts of You...

Hello everyone! How was your weekend? Mine has been AWESOME!! My hubby and I got up really early on Saturday and took a much, much, MUCH needed road trip!! It was totally unplanned (which freaks me out a tad, I like to plan everything in advance!) but sometimes surprises are nice too! Now don't get me wrong we didn't get to head out to the Beach or the Mountains like I've been dying to do all Summer but we did manage to cross the Alabama State line wooo hooo!! I wished we could do road trips every weekend wouldn't that be cool!!

Anyway, I have a card I'd like to share with you using one of the newest releases from Peachy Keen Stamps, PK-127 Sandwich Fun! The minute I seen this face all I could think of was how cute it would be on a ghost (well I hope you think my ghostie is cute hee hee) The ghost is cut from the Simply Charmed cartridge. I used the newest Halloween cartridge, A Frightful Affair for the Haunted House (the silhouette feature). I hand cut some gray for the sidewalk and glued to the back. For my background, I created it using Tim Holtz distress inks in Mustard Seed and Dusty Concord. I then inked the edges with Memento's Tuxedo Black. I used a sentiment from My Creative Time's, Mixed Holiday Sentiments.

It's kinda weird making a Halloween card in the Summer but seeing that face I just couldn't resist!! You can now see and purchase the new release on the Peachy Keen website! If you haven't got to see them yet, you need to head over and take a look! This release is BEYOND cute!! Also, the challenges are up on The Peachy Keen Connection! Be sure to play along for your chance to win a set from the new release!

I'm still having a ball playing with the new Artiste cartridge from Close To My Heart and will be sharing a few more projects with you throughout the week! Don't forget about my online party! If you haven't purchased your cartridge yet or you need any CTMH products I would love to be your Consultant! Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you have a awesome Monday! Hugs, Leanne

Wishing You Comfort

Hi! I'm back and sneaking in another project using the new CTMH Artiste cartridge! I have to say this card looks a lot better in person than how it's looking in my pictures :(  I wanted to use one of the many card shapes included and ran across this shape and thought it was pretty! I actually cut it three times! The card base and then twice more using the different pattern paper. Another thing I have been dying to cut out was the bow! In my pictures it blends in where you can barely tell but in person it's so cute!

No more cutting a template by hand to make these yipeee!! I added some little pearl gems to the center. I also used a stamp set of Emma's, Floral Sentiments. I got to try out my new ink pad that was included in my consultant kit and oh my! LOVE!!!

I hope you have enjoyed my projects using the Artiste cartridge! If you have been on the fence whether to buy or not I hope I've helped give you a nice loving push hee hee!! If you would like to order be sure to click the shopping cart to go to my website and click to join the online party! Thank you so much for visiting today and if any questions you might have please feel free to email me! Hugs, Leanne
