Peachy Keen Challenge - Just Cards!

Happy Friday everyone! I hope you hadn't given up on me! It's been a while since my last post! Life has gotten a little hectic around here! I sure have missed my "playing" time!! My brothers wife had a serious car accident a week ago with head injuries and was in a coma till Wednesday. She's awake now but still has a long road ahead of her :( That and many other things has got me to where I feel like I don't know which way is up!

Today starts a new challenge over at the Peachy Keen Blog! This challenge is to make a card using any theme so basically it's ANYTHING GOES!! It's going to be hard for you to tell in my photo, but I've used some Frost Sheer Shimmer Spritz by Tsukineko on my Igloo. I'm not the best at shaped cards but I have always loved the look of them and thought I would give it a try with the igloo! The igloo is from Create A Critter and I used my Gyspy to weld two of the shadows together. I cut the layer and before adhering it to the base I sprayed it with the spritz. In person it is all shimmery but I was unable to capture that in my picture! The penguins are from the ZooBalloo cartridge and for their sweet little faces I've used PK-134 Bird Faces & More. The sign is from Jolly Holidays and I've added some stickles to the snow. For the sentiment, Chill Out! I used PK-115 Let's Ketchup. All my little penguins & the sign are popped up using Helmar ZapDots.

For the inside, I used April's Peachy Keen Stamp Club for the sentiments which reads, It's time to Celebrate, Happy Birthday! Now it's your turn to get busy and show us your card! I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with! Thanks for looking and be sure to stop back by tomorrow for my sneak peek of the new release!! Have a great weekend! Hugs, Leanne

Pocket Full of Love!!

Hello peeps! Hope you are having a great morning/evening which ever applies! I'm excited to share another card with you today using one of the newest release from My Creative Time, Fun Pockets! I'm telling you this is a awesome set and if you didn't order it last week during our peeks you need to! It's so fun to play with and the possibilities are just endless!!

Elmo is from the cricut cartridge, Elmo's party! The cute notebook paper is printed from my Imagine using the Notebook Doodles Cartridge! You can get both of these cartridges over at Memory Miser! I just love this pocket die! Just think of all the cuties you can have peeking out of it!! You can't tell in my photo (you might be able to if you click on it) but I've used some cute polka dot pattern paper for the pocket! I also used the heart image from the set! I stamped it once on the notebook paper then decided I wanted more hearts! I stamped it again on regular card stock and then I hand cut some of them out and added them! I colored the hearts with my copics but then outlined them (and the pocket) with the JellyRoll StarDust pen! If you don't own one of these pens I highly recommend it! Even though you can't tell it in my pictures in real life it makes everything so nice and sparkly!! I then stamped my sentiment using some Tim Holtz distress ink, Barn Door!!

Hee hee I have a feeling you may be seeing Elmo some more! He was always my favorite! I wished I knew someone that still had a little one that I could plan a birthday party for!! That would be fun! Anyhoo, that's a wrap for me today!! Hugs, Leanne

Here's a picture of the Fun Pocket set I used!

Friends are like pockets..

Happy Tuesday everyone! Just popping in real quick to share a new card with you! I've always wanted the Quilled Cuttlebug kits and finally broke down and purchased them! I got all three but I've only used two of the sets on my card! I've used the Chrysanthemum (my favorite) and the daisy. The smallest flower is kinda a combination between the two (pieces I had left over). They are fun to make but I do need lots of practice! I'm slow as Christmas making them! I've also used from Peachy Keen's newest release, the picnic tablecloth background stamp (PK-117). I stamped it using Tim Holtz distress ink in Mustard Seed. The super cute pocket is from My Creative Time's new release, Fun Pockets! Isn't this pocket the cutest! I stamped it also with PK-117 picnic tablecloth background stamp using the same Tim Holtz Mustard Seed ink. I inked the edges the edges with Tim Holtz, Vintage Photo distress ink. For my sentiment, I used the Spellbinder, Ribbon Tag Trio die and stamped a sentiment from the Fun Pocket set.  I then used some burlap from Liz at Liz's Paperloft Boutique!

Well,  that's it for me today so far hee hee! Thanks for looking and enjoy your day! Hugs, Leanne

Memory Miser - Happy Graduation!

Hi everyone!! I'm so excited today I get to share with you my very first post for Memory Miser! I will be featuring the cartridge Happy Graduation solution cartridge.  I was asked to make one altered item, a card and either a double layout or two single layouts!! (Eeekkkk I haven't made a layout in awhile and I'm RUSTY!!) All my projects are really simple projects that can be duplicated really easily! I hope they will give you some inspiration using this cartridge for your graduation projects!

For the above project, I made a gift bag for my mom to give to her teenage prayer partner at church. His school colors are purple and gold.

I just LOVE this owl! I cut him out in three different colors and paper pieced back together. I added some googly eyes and I outlined him in my StarDust jelly roll pen. He' really nice and sparkly in person! I also cut out the diploma so he could have something to sit upon! I love how easy it was to cut the Happy Graduation out (didn't have to use my Gyspy to weld the letters!) I then cut the ribbon and used it as my tag. I added the StarDust jelly roll pen to the diploma, Happy Graduation, & ribbon but it's hard to tell in my photo!!

For my next project, I wanted to make a matching card. I also wanted to keep it simple since it's for a guy!

I used the Congrats Grad die cut and the stars on the cartridge for my card! I also used my Scor Pal to score a line above and below just to dress it up a bit!

Here is a sideview of the card...

Next up, using the same colors I made a layout!

I used the circle mat with Happy Graduation written around the edges and cut it in half. I wanted to use this as a journaling spot. I also used the cute little graduation caps and arranged them around the page!

This next layout is another super quick and easy layout that I made for my son's preschool graduation picture. Why is there no picture you ask? Well, I spent a week searching for it (it was a original picture not digital) and can you believe in just a blink of a eye I LOST IT AGAIN!!! I'm sure it will turn up just not in time for this photo shoot hee hee!!

I just love this owl so much I had to use him again!! I also used the cartridge Create A Critter for the branch.

Thanks so much for looking and I hope you have a AWESOME DAY! Be sure to head over to the blog to see what the other Creative Team members did with their featured cartridges! Also if you would like to purchase this Happy Graduation head on over to Memory Miser! Hugs, Leanne

My Creative Time's Day Four Peeks!

Hello and welcome to Day Four of My Creative Time's sneak peeks! Today we will be featuring the set Celebrate Good Times!

For my card, I used the sentiment Life of the party! As soon as I saw it the cartridge Rock Princess immediately popped in my head! **BEWARE of things that pop in my head sometimes it's scary** This time I think your pretty safe hee hee but don't say I didn't warn you, you just never know bahahahahaha!!! But anyhoo, on to the details! Since I STILL HAVE NOT gotten my E2 back (sniff, sniff) I'm still not able to use my Gyspy and I'm having to cut things the old fashion way :( I cut Brittany at 4 3/4 along with all her layers. I went through my older paper and came across this sheet by Disney from High School Musical.  I don't remember where I picked it up at but I have had it for awhile! I was finally able to get my hands on the Tim Holtz brick wall embossing folder  (LOVE) and I used a piece along the bottom. I ran a silver ink pad over the top to make it look like stone. I also used My Creative Time's XL Label die and the XL Label border set. I then stamped my sentiment and cut apart. I also matted each one on some black card stock. I used my JellyRoll Stardust pen and outlined Brittany! She's all sparkly!!

I also forget to mention she is popped up using Helmar Zapdots! My tracking number for my E2 does show it should be delivered today woooo hoooo so wish me luck that when it arrives it behaves! I sure have missed it :) Thanks for looking and I hope you have a wonderful day! Hugs, Leanne

Good morning peeps! I'm back again with day three of My Creative Time Sneak Peeks! Isn't this the best release ever!! Today we are featuring the Fun Pocket set. Not only does this have some adorable images it also includes two cute pocket dies!!

For my card, I used the cute image of the shorts hanging on the line! The paper is by Echo Park. I paper pieced the shorts, the little sun peeking out of the pocket, the cloths pins & line.  The cloud background is Peachy Keen's (PK-107) Cloudy Day background stamp. I used my nestibilities to cut the two circles. The flower was made using MCT Flower Petal Die and I've added a pearl gem for the center. I hand cut what I stamped my sentiment on. Last I added some faux stitching!

This is such a fun set and I can't wait to get to play with all the other images and the pocket dies!! I have so many ideas floating around in my head (good thing there's enough empty space up there that fun ideas can float around bahahaha)! Thanks for looking and I hope you have a super duper great day! Hugs, Leanne

My Creative Time Sneak Peek Day Two!!

Good morning and welcome to another day of My Creative Time Sneak Peek week! Today I will be featuring the Here's Lookin' at You stamp (including die) set and also the Tag Dies! I am LOVING this release!

Using the new tag die, I cut two out of kraft card stock and then also two from the Echo Park, This & That collection for the pattern paper. I used George and Basic Shape cricut cartridge for the star. I stamped the image of the little eyes & mustache onto the star. I then stamped the tie & a pair of the glasses onto more Echo Park (from the same collection) and hand cut out. I did some stitching around the star. When looking at the tag, the tie makes the star look like he's sticking his tongue bahahaha! You also can't tell in the picture but I've outlined everything with my Jellly Roll StarDust pen and it's all nice and sparkly! I LOVE that pen just wished it would show up in the pictures! The sentiment is also from the Here's Lookin' at You set! I then added some twine.

For this tag, I used the hat from the die and cut it out twice once from Ivory card stock and the second time (to get the different color for the trim) out of the same Echo Park paper I used above. I used the sentiment Happy Father's Day. I also outlined everything with my JellyRoll StarDust pen but its not showing up anywhere but on the sentiment! In person these tags are nice and sparkly!!

Oops! I totally forgot to post this yesterday so wanted to make sure I did it for today...

This wouldn't be a party w/o GIVEAWAYS!

My Creative Time Sneaky Peek Day One!!

Good morning! I hope everyone had a WONDERFUL Mother's Day weekend! I can say that this was probably the most stressful one I've had! I had a yard sale on Saturday (which on the bright side was a success!) I worked all week on gathering my items for it and also some Spring cleaning! I have now got clean closets, drawers, & cabinets wooo hooo!! But OMG! I am sooooo tired it will take me FOREVER to rest up!   On Mother's Day (here's where the stress started) our transmission in our truck went out! We do not have luck when it comes to transmissions in our house! We did manage to see our Mother's but we were having to bum a ride lol! It all ended GREAT! I was able to spend some time with my son who gave me flowers and the sweetest card!

For today's sneak we are using the set What's Growing On! Isn't this the cutest set!! The mustache die is just to darn cute! We were all assigned different sentiments to use and the one I'm featuring is Wish you were hair! I used the cricut cartridge, Block Party for the man. I just thought he would look cute with a mustache! I cut him and his layers at 10 3/4 and beheaded him bahahahaha! I'm still waiting on my E2 to come back and it's killing me not being able to use my Gyspy! I feel like my right arm has been chopped off along with this dude's head! I know my mojo must have gotten packed up and shipped off to Provo Craft along with my machine! I just hope they don't forget to send it back!! I also hope my super simple cards are not boring you :(

Be sure to head over to Emma's Blog and see what she and the other talented designers did with the What's Growing On set! Thanks for looking and have a HAPPY MONDAY!! Hugs, Leanne

Emma's Surprise Birthday Blog Hop!!

Good morning! You should be arriving here from Kim's Blog but if not and you would like to start at the beginning of the hop click here to go to Micia's Blog! Today is Emma's birthday and we wanted to surprise her with a blog hop!! Today is also the start of a new Throwback Thursday challenge! Being that it is Emma's birthday the challenge is to use your cricut and any cartridge that has a cake, balloons, or a party hat! This Throwback Thursday is the challenge before the release and you will definitely want to play along! Emma is giving away something special for this challenge... a CUTTLEBUG!!!! She is also not only giving you one week to participate but TWO weeks to get your entry in!

I just wanted to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY Emma! I wub you to pieces! I hope you have the most AWESOME birthday and I also hope this hop has put a smile on your face! You are one amazing lady and I'm  so glad and honored that I can call you my friend! It's your special day so enjoy it!!

Now onto my card! As I was typing this up and giving you the details I noticed a little oopsie hee hee! My card has NONE of the requirements for the challenge!!!  But in my defense (trying to save myself here lol) I wasn't scheduled for this challenge!! But I did want to make note DO NOT take my card as a example!!! I really need to learn to read and follow directions better! Now I understand why my teachers in school wanted to pull their hair out bahahahaha!!!

I made this card to go along with the gift bag I made yesterday for the Wednesday 3D challenge. I didn't have a whole lot of time so I went with a real simple design! I used my left over pattern paper that I printed with my Imagine and the Imagine cartridge, Kate's Kitchen. I also used my nestibilities for the larger scallop and plain circle. For the smaller set, I used My Creative Time's Scallop & Stitched Circle die set. The sentiment is from All Around Birthday Time.

I can never photograph the inside of my cards but I've also used a sentiment from Wow So Many Candles which reads Wishing You the Best Birthday Ever!

I took a picture of the gift bag and the card together! I still need to get a different color of tissue paper but will do that as soon as I can get out and buy some!

Thanks for looking! Have a wonderful day! Hugs, Leanne

My Creative Time's 3D Wednesday!

Gooooooood morning peeps! Sorry I haven't been around the last few days! I've been crazy busy! I got the bright idea of rearranging and reorganizing my scrap room and oh my I didn't know what a task that was going to be! I'm not completely finished but it's looking way better (or at least I can move again in here hee hee) I'm also having a yard sale this weekend and got to get busy gathering items for it too!

Today is 3D Wednesday over at My Creative Time and I like to share a gift bag I made! Since tomorrow is Emma's birthday we are all making birthday related projects to share with you. I haven't received my E2 back from the Provo Craft hospital and I'll be honest I'm soooo lost without my Gyspy! I've been using my Expression but since it needs a update (which I can't do or I'll lose my Sure Cuts Alot 2 software) I'm having to use it back before the Gyspy came out! I think the Gyspy has spoiled me rotten! But anyhoo, on to my gift bag!
I used my Imagine and the Kate's Kitchen Imagine cartridge for my pattern paper. The popsicle is cut from the Simply Charmed cartridge. I used the Scallop & Stitched Circle die to stamp my sentiment on. The sentiment is from the All Around  Birthday Time set. I also used Emma's 100% Sweetness set to stamp the sentiment beside the popsicle. Here is a closer look since the above picture is kinda small!

I didn't have any tissue paper other than white but before I give this away I plan on getting a different color! I think it will spruce it up a little more hee hee! I would love for you to come back tomorrow! I've made a matching card to go along with the gift bag that I'll share with you in the morning! Head over to Emma's Blog to see what she and the other design team ladies have made! I'm sure they are going to knock your sock's off!!! Have a great day! Hugs, Leanne

Souper Fun Peachy Keen Challenge!

Good morning!! Whew, I have to say I'm glad this week is coming to a end and I'm now looking forward to the weekend! I've had to send my E2 back to Provo Craft for a replacement and that's really got me bummed! I'm keeping fingers and toes crossed that it won't take forever! I'm totally lost without it sniff, sniff!!

Today we are starting a new Souper Fun challenge over at the Peachy Keen Blog!! The challenge is to create a 3D object upcycling a soup can!Isn't this little worm a cutie hee hee! This is a sneak peek of this month's release! I just love those eyes!!

Here is two more sneak peeks of the new release that will be available Saturday! The flower which I paper pieced and the sentiment "Enjoy"!

I also used Peachy Keen's April club kit for the "Thank You". The little worm is from Create a Critter minus his layers. I used the apple from Give A Hoot cartridge. I used my Gyspy and the George & Basic Shape cartridge to create the little hole that the worm is peeking out of. I also added some faux stitching with my white jelly roll pen. The paper is by Creative Imaginations (bought at Michael's) The ribbon is some I've had in my stash. I used Double Mint & Big Red chewing gun and some Blow pops for my candy!

Be sure to check out the Peachy Blog to see what the other DT ladies made upcycling their soup cans! They are ADORABLE!! You have till May 9th, 11:59 pm EST time to link up! So don't throw those soup cans away! We want to see what you can make with yours!!

Tomorrow is RELEASE DAY!!! Don't forget about our release party we have on The Peachy Keen Connection! We always have loads of fun chatting! There will be challenges and of course prizes to be won!! We would love to have you join us!

Also, The Peachy Keen Alumni team is having a blog hop on May 7th that you don't want to miss! These ladies are SOOOO TALENTED! I've always LOVED Peachy Keen Stamps! The inspiration I got from this team is PRICELESS!

Thanks for looking and have a AWESOME weekend! Hugs, Leanne

MCT Stamp of the Month!!

Gooood morning peeps!! It's that time again! My Creative Time Stamp of the Month!! Each month Emma picks a older stamp set to feature and runs the set on sale! She also has a linky party that you can link any projects you have made using that particular stamp set!! This month Emma has picked TWO stamp sets to feature Just A Little Note & My Favorite Sayings! If you own either set or even both be sure to link up on her blog! We would LOVE to see what you have made!! If you don't own them NOW is the perfect time to get them while they are on sale!!

For my card today, I've used the set My Favorite Sayings and also from her last release Bloom Where You are Planted. Have I ever told you how much I LOVE to paper piece??!!! I do!! It's soooooo relaxing and really takes your mind off of things so my little flower is paper pieced from scraps from my stash! I also thought it needed a little Peachy face so I used PK-490 Everyday Character Face Assortment! For my sentiment, I used the masking technique and stamped it in 4 different colors of ink to coordinate with my card stock colors. I used the scallop fiskars border punch for the edges. I then added stitches with my new favorite pen! It's a jelly roll pen called StarDust and it sparkles!! You can't tell it in my photo that it does, but in person the whole card is all sparkly hee hee! I love the effect it gave the flower sure wished it showed up better sniff, sniff!!!

Thanks so much for looking! For more projects using the featured stamp sets head over to Emma's blog! Andddd as my card says.... Have a GREAT Day!!! Hugs, Leanne
