Good morning Peachy peeps! Today starts a new challenge over on the Peachy Challenge Blog and it's also my last challenge (as a design team member) sniff, sniff! Today's challenge is one of my favorites! It's a Anything Goes Challenge!
My project today was inspired by all the little Angels that entered Heaven's doors last Friday. My heart is truly broken and I've still haven't been able to understand how someone could possibly do this but I guess we will never understand. My heart also goes out to the families, I can't even begin to imagine their loss.
For my project today, I used MCT's Stitched Lollipop Die to hold a small little gift. To make my Angel, I used a few different cricut cartridges. For the head and her hair I used Paper Dolls Dress Up. The head was cut at 2.09 x 4.92 (Gyspy size) and her hair at 2.21 x 4.92 (Gyspy size). Her hair can be found under the head wear button (no shift). I used Create A Critter to make her wings (they are butterfly wings). I cut them at 3.25 X 2.41 (Gyspy size). You can find these under the Layer 2 button w/shift. For her arms, I hand cut them out myself just making a V shape. I used the Artiste cartridge for the poinsettia she's holding. I cut 2 of the shapes found on the last page of the handbook, under the Accent 1 button at 2.02 x1.86. I used green card stock for these two layers. I then cut the same shape again 2x's at 1.68 x 1.55 and one time at 1.30 x 1.20. I cut these all in red. I added some red glimmer gems to the center. For her face, I used one of my VERY favorite PK sets, PK-112 Cherub Face Assortment. I then added gold stickles for her halo, her little earrings, and around the edges of her wings and gown (well what I'm calling a gown hee hee)
This holds a small bottle of hand gel. I tied it using some hemp twine from Liz's Paper Loft. I also forgot to mention I did use pop dots to raise her head up.
Don't forget you can win this set! Just CLICK HERE and leave a comment!
If I don't post anything else before Tuesday I want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas! Hugs, Leanne
