A Real Quickie Notecard!

Hey ya'll! I thought since I didn't have anything special to post I'd share with you a little notecard I whipped up using scraps on my work table! I think I've mentioned this several times before but I never throw anything away! I don't know why but for some reason I just can't do it (is this considered hoarding???) Anyway, for the little notecard today. I used some scraps from my cardstock, some twine that was left over from another project (can't show it till Sept. 8th), a balloon that I cut (can't even remember which cartridge it came from but have about 10 more of them that I will have to use eventually hee hee), a bow (Martha Stewart punch) and a sizzix teddy bear. I love Emma's Small Talk set it's PERFECT for these 3 1/4 x 3 1/4 size cards!! The teddy bear is used from some dark brown cardstock but not as dark as it looks in the photo (don't know what happened there lol) Hubby is on vacation this week so I'm not getting alot of playing time only when he is watching tv I sneak back here!! Well, gotta run! Thanks for looking! Hugs,Leanne

My Creative Time's Monday Imagination Day!

Awww Monday...don't you just love em?!?!  Ok, I've got my flame proof suit on because I'm sure some of you are spitting fire bahahhaha! Well, I probably feel about the same way about Monday as ya'll do to!! But this Monday is different for several reasons!! I'm excited because its Imagination day at Emma's (aka My Creative Time) and this week my hubby is on vacation (I may change my mind by the end of the week on the last one so don't hold me to that k?)

This week for Imagination Monday we could do whatever we wanted using ANY of Emma's stamps. My brother's birthday is the 5th so I wanted to make another birthday card. He will be turning 47 and he's a real History nut! When I think of History and my scrappy supplies I turn to the cricut cartridge Heritage and the Imagine cartridge Ancestry! I liked the old vintage car on Heritage and thought he might to so that's how I got this card started hee hee! I wanted to make a shape card (yesterday's was fun lol) so I used Birthday Bash again for the shape of the card and filled it with the pattern paper from Ancestry. For the layer,(of the base) I couldn't make up my mind which pattern I wanted, so I printed the layer twice using two different patterns from the cartridge. I then just decided to layer them so I trimmed the lighter one down so I could mat the darker one behind it. I've never messed with the RGB codes and wanted to really try it just once so for the shadow of the car I used Stampin Up's Chocolate Chip. I used a very old stamp (can't even remember where it came from) to stamp You're a Classic! on the car. But for the MAIN sentiments I used Emma's Wow! So Many Candles for the front and for the inside! I added two buttons from my stash to represent wheels.

I still haven't mastered the sizing with the Imagine (so wished I could use my Gyspy with it and it have the same features that it does with the Expression!!!) I made my car to big so I just cut off the back (still hope you can tell it's a car lol!!) I have to say I am starting to like the Imagine more! I just need to get more familiar with it and hopefully one day I can either use my Gyspy or the Cricut Craft Room and then I might just actually LOVE it!! Well, that's a wrap for me today! I hope this post even makes sense I'm typing this with the TV blaring and a radio thumping! It's always like a Zoo here and NEVER a dull moment lol! Hugs, Leanne

MCT Shipping Dept. Celebration Hop!

Hello everyone!! Today we are celebrating a VERY, VERY special birthday!! It's Emma's (aka My Creative Time's) mom's 65th birthday!! Happy Birthday Emma V.!! I hope today turns out to be the greatest birthday ever!!  I also want to say THANK YOU for always making sure the design team and Emma's customers get their awesome stamps with no problems! You ROCK and we appreciate everything you do!!

Now a little birdie (otherwise known as Emma hee hee) said that bears are one of her favorites plus the colors blue, brown, and pinks. So I've tried my best to fit in all of the above! I used my Imagine to make this WHOLE card woooo hoooo!! I'm so proud of myself because I've been using it mainly to print and cut pattern paper so this is a HUGE accomplishment for me!!

I used the Birthday Bash cartridge and the Yummy Imagine Cartridge for this card. I also did some shading using different colors of Memento ink (pear tart, rich cocoa) I added some faux stitching and for my sentiments, I used Emma's Wow! So Many Candles stamp set (I also stamped inside the card with Birthday Hugs are coming your way!)

Happy Birthday Emma!! I hope you like your card and its heading your way via snail mail!! Next on the hop is Miss Cathryn!

My Creative Time's Design Team Thursday!!

Hey ya'll! Woot! Woot!  It's My Creative Time's Design Team Day!!! This week I used one of Emma's newest releases, Mixed Holiday Sentiments. Emma also wanted us to use the colors: teal, red & chocolate chip. I have to admit at first I was at a lose at what I was going to make! I love the color combo but was having a hard time thinking what to make for the Holidays with these colors!

I won Mr. Frosty, cricut Imagine cartridge on Ebay and received it last week and knew it had some paper that I really wanted to use so that's where I started! Then I got out some of my Christmas cartridges and flipped through the books till I ran across this cardinal from Winter Woodland. I used this cartridge for the Cardinal and the branch. I also used Emma's die, Scallop and Stitched Circle to stamp my sentiment on.

I'm excited to be getting "some" Christmas cards made. It sure will take the pressure off when it gets closer! Well, that's it for me today! I can't wait to see what the other designers made today, they TOTALLY blow me away with their talent!! Hugs, Leanne

Having a BLAST with MCT Stamps!!

Hey everyone!! I didn't know really how to name this post so I figured I would just go with my emotions hee hee!! I SERIOUSLY LOVE Emma's (aka My Creative Time) last release and have been making 3 1/4 x 3 1/4 cards like CRAZY!!  I know, I know where are they huh?? Well...I didn't say that all of them came out well enough to show you bahahahaha! I have some that I will be posting later and then theres THOSE (you know the ones that well it's worst then getting caught with your pants around your ankle type! Ok, maybe that's just a little TO EXTREME but you get the picture right lol!!) Anyhoo, lets move on now that I've embarrassed myself and I know some of you are probably blushing to!!

I won the Cricut Imagine, Mr. Frosty cartridge and received it last week and knew I wanted to test out some of the paper. I have so far (knock on wood) have had really great luck winning my Imagine cartridges at really great prices on Ebay!  Well, except the little screw up I made about a month ago. I was aiming to bid 22.59 and got in such a hurry (will never do that again!) and bid $2259.00!!! Wow, what a nightmare that was to get straightened out!! Which I didn't win for that amount I won for I think $60!! But still was only wanting it for $22.59 so it took FOREVER to get that straightened out!! Needless to say, I take my time when I bid now and I make SURE that little dot is in there before I hit bid hee hee!! Ok, sorry got sidetracked again lol! The papers are from the Mr. Frosty Imagine cartridge and the cute snowman is from Stretch Your Imagination. Isn't he cute!!! I just love him! I added some googly eyes and some stickles for his nose (my nose didn't cut out so well so tossed it!)

I even added some paper to the inside!! I used the border stamp inside and used the sentiment Cheers. I just love making this size card!! It really helps use up scraps (and we all know my scrap problem hahaha) Yup, these are scraps to! Know what they are scraps from?? Well, you will get to find out tomorrow for My Creative Time's Design Team Day!! Thanks for looking and see ya tomorrow!! Hugs, Leanne

This is the set I used for this card!! Click here if you would like to purchase!!

I'm going to keep this post short! I've had a very longgggg day and I'm exhausted! I took my dad to the doctor today and even though we had to sit and wait FOREVER to actually see the doctor for some reason just sitting wore me out. Well that and afterwards the Wal-Mart trip, the stop by the UPS store to mail a package, Arby's, the grocery store, taking my parents home, going helping out a friend that owns a shoppe, back to my parents for supper, the store, and finally getting a few minutes to make this gift card! Whew, see it's been a longgggg day!!

Here are the sets that I used to make my gift card!

The clouds are from a stamp set by Fiskars. I used my copics to color. These gift card holders are SO fun and easy to make! You can whip these up in no time and I can tesify to that hee hee!

Hey everyone!! Welcome to My Creative Time's day four sneeky peeks!!! Hasn't this been such a fun week! Today is our final day of peeks and tomorrow is the day I'm sure most of you are waiting for...release day!!!

I've been so stinkin excited about today's release!! I'm just a little disappointed I was only able to get one project done BOO!! I took my parents shopping yesterday and then we all went out to eat for supper so needless to say my day was gone (but in a good way gone hee hee)

For our sneek peeks today we are showcasing a new stamp set, Gift Card Sentiments & a new die!! Can you guess what the new die is?!?! Yup, you've guessed it! It's a gift card holder!!! This die is sooo stinkin cute that there is no amount of words that can even come close to telling you how much I'm in love with it!! And oh my! The seniments that she has to go we it!! Well, lets just say your going to LOVE them hee hee!

I wanted to make this for a gift card I will be getting in a month or two for my bunco group. For the "big" prize I'm going to give a gift card for a Pedicure or a Manicure. This sentiment worked out PERFECT for me! I chose the octupus from Birthday Bash (because it has so many hands or feet) I used my I-Rock to bling her up with crystal gem stones. For her face, I used Peachy Keen, Cheery-O's face assortment. I used chalk for her cheeks and colored her lips with a copic marker. I used a Martha Stewart punch for her bow and also added a gem to it. I used Helmar's ZapDot's under the octupus to add some dimension. The paper is from my paper stash. I also used Helmar Zapdots to raise the sentiment Enjoy up!

That's it for my peek today! I absolutely can't wait to see what Emma and the gang have done for their peeks! I'm sure they will be A.M.A.Z.I.N.G.!!!! See you back here tomorrow for the blog hop! Hugs, Leanne

Hey everyone! Welcome to day three of My Creative Times Sneeky Peeks!! Today we will be showcasing the set Small Talk. I absolutely adore this set! It is super, super cute!

For my card, I have used Graphically Speaking for the smiley face and the Teresa Collins Black and White Imagine cartridge for my pattern paper. I did not make this pretty flower. I won a challenge and received some of these as my prize. I've attached a action wobble to my smiley face. I also have used Emma's newest die (sneek peek day one) stitched oval die. See the dotted border? That and the sentiment Smile & IheartU are part of this set, Small Talk!

For my second project, I made four smaller note cards. They measure 3 1/4 x 3 1/4. I used 4 different flowers off of the cricut cartridge, Simply Charmed. I also used Peachy Keen Everyday Character faces for each flower. I used the dotted border stamp and four of the sentiments that are included in this set.

These were super, super simple to make and I absolutely ADORE the dotted border! I hope I've showed how versatile it can be either as a focal point on your card or by making smaller note cards! Thats it again for me today! I'll be back tomorrow with day four sneeks peeks and we have saved the best for last! You will flip over tomorrows release!! Hugs, Leanne

Hey ya'll! Welcome to day two of My Creative Time's sneeky peek week!  Are you liking what you have seen so far? Well, the release just keeps getting better and better hee hee! I love the set we will be showcasing today!! This is one you will defintely want for the Holiday season!! I honestly had so many ideas running through my brain but just not the time to make them all for you!

Todays set is called Mixed Holiday and WOW is it PACKED with some great sentiments for the upcoming holidays: Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years! And..... guess what! Emma also has another new die set also!! You can see it in the above picture and it's called Fancy Frame. It also has the stamp included with the die! Love, love LOVE this die and stamp set!!!

For my above card, I used the cricut solution cartridge, Celebrate with Flourish. I used the poinsetta but in the actual little pamplet that comes with the cartridge it's called Xmas4. Using my Gyspy to size, I cut the shadow and all the layers at 5.17 x 3.47 (got those measurements straight from the G) I used my much LOVED Helmar Zap Dots to pop up the top three layers. I added brads for the centers and then added gold stickles to the edges. The paper is some left over from last Christmas and I believe I got it from HL. I then used Emma's new die and stamp set Fancy Frames for my sentiment which says Wishing You a Heartfelt holiday. Here is a picture from the side.....

I added some cream cardstock to the inside so you would be able to write in it. I also added more Helmar ZapDots to the Fancy Frame die to pop it up. To glue my poinsetta die cut and attach the cardstock, pattern paper together (plus glue it all to the base of the card) I used Helmar's Premium Craft Glue! I love my Helmar!! Now let's move on to my second card....

For this card, I used another solutions cartridge, Christmas Noel. This is a older cartridge and I think it's been discontinued which is a shame! I cut the trees (+layers) at 5.39 x 6.76 (measurements from my G) and the house (+layers) at 4.58 x 3.90. This is a standard A2 size card (4.25 x 5.50) I used Helmar's ZapDots to pop the house and it's layers up. I then added stickles to it and the trees. Here is a side view picture....

I then used Emma's new die set (Fancy Frames) for the sentiment which reads All Hearts Go Home for Christmas. The pattern paper is also some left over from last year but I believe this one may have come from JoAnns, but not sure. Well, that's it for my peeks today! I absolutely LOVE this set and excited for you to see the entire set!!! Be sure to visit Emma and the other designers for their sneeky peeks! Thanks for looking and see ya back here tomorrow for day three peeks!! Hugs, Leanne

Hello all! I hope everyone had a great weekend! I'm sooooo excited and I hope you are to! This is sneeky peek week for the 9th release of My Creative Time Stamps!!! Can I get a woot woot!!

Today we are doing our sneek peeks using the set called Home Sewn! Your going to SEW love this set hee hee!!! Along with this AWESOME set, Emma is releasing a new die called Sitched Oval Die that your absolutely going to want to get. It fits these sentiments PERFECTLY!!

Ok, let me get into the details of my card! I used three cartridges: Country Life, Elegant Edges, and Flower Shoppe! The spool of thread and the quilt patchwork is from the Country Life cartridge. I used some older paper from K & Company to cut my image and for the pattern background paper. See that cute little heart in the center? That is one of the cute images included in this stamp set! I also added some stickles to the edges to make it stand out a little more. I also added some glossy accents to the needle but that's not showing up so well in the picture :( Next, I used Elegant Edges for my mats. I inked the edges with Tim Holtz distress ink and also added some faux stitching. The last cartridge I used was Flower Shoppe and I used it to make my flower and leaves. I absolutely LOVE this die (Stiched oval die) I love that it embosses the stitches into the paper and I don't have to hee hee. I haven't had a chance to try any of Emma's other stamp sets with this die so don't hold me to this but I bet alot of her other sentiments will work with this die also! I also used Helmar's Zap Dots and Helmar's Premium Craft Glue for this card. I need to give a shout out for Helmar! Their adhesive is AWESOME!!! Since I put my cards in a local shop here in town to sell it gives me piece of mind knowing that they are not going to fall apart!! Here is a picture from the side....

For my next card, I didn't use my cricut and just played around with the stamp set (Home Sewn)! Everything you see is included in this set (Home Sewn) so you are getting a HUGE sneek peek hee hee!! I also used some Peachy Keen face stamps and I drew the arms and legs. I added some glossy accents to the heart and I used my copics to color.

This card made me giggle and I hope you like it also! Here is another picture from the side....

Well, that's my sneeky peeks for today! I hope you have enjoyed them and I will see you back here tomorrow for day 2 sneek peeks!! I was going to surprise you with a video for tomorrows card! I spent allllllll day Saturday working on it and finally got one that I thought was at least half way decent and went to play it back and I was so out of focus (literally what I was doing was NO WHERE in the view ha!)! I just gave up!! I had already assembled the card!  I guess I need to make at least 30 of the same thing so I can keep doing redo's hee hee! Kudo's to those of you that do video's IT'S HARD!!! I'll keep trying and maybe one day will get the hang of it! Thanks SEW much for looking and have a FANTASTIC Monday!! Hugs, Leanne

Stamping Scrapping Challenge Central - Summer Challenge

Hello! We finally got some MUCH needed rain today and things cooled off just a bit (not alot but some hee hee) I had someone come look at our ac today. They said it really needed to be cleaned so they are coming back in the morning and "hopefully" that will fix our problem. Today hasn't been as bad since it's stormed most of the day bringing the temperature down some. Hopefully I can sleep better tonight!

The challenge at Stamping Scrapping Challenge Central this time is summer. I decided to play around with my Woodware stamp set called Fairy Tots! Aren't they cute! Instead of using my copics to color I wanted to do some paper piecing. I love to paper piece! To me it's relaxing! I love the fact that I can totally get focused in on cutting out the little pieces and forgot everything! It's really good therapy when your feeling blue! It also helps use up scraps and for me that's a big plus! My whole card is made from my scrap pile! I did use my copics some (for their face, hair, caterpillar, flower, and the ground) The punch is a Martha Stewart punch that I actually found a few weeks back at a Sears Outlet! Don't know how that came to be but it was only $2 so I'm not complaining bahahahha! For my sentiment, I used the Spellbinders Matching stamp set, Celebrate.
Here's another view of my card....

I finally figured out today how to upload my videos to youtube!!! Now the hard part making a new one! I haven't got my ducks in a row just yet on how I want to do them! I would love to be able to show from start to finish when I make a card but all my crap is spread out EVERYWHERE hee hee and not sure how unless I run all over the place filming! But I promise to have one up soon (still scared to death lol) but hang loose and I'll come up with something! I still think I need to break you in slowly to my Southern accent hee hee! Anyhoo, come join us in our Summer Challenge! The only requirement is to use something that can be purchased at StampingScrapping.com and link to the store! Easy peasy and we would love to have you! Thanks for looking and have a awesome weekend and hopefully by the next time I post my ac problems will be fixed! Hugs, Leanne

My Creative Times Design Team Thursday

Happy Thursday everyone! I hope everyone is having a great week! It is miserably hot here in Alabama and to make things even worse my a/c is not cooling. I've got to get someone to come check it out and hopefully it will be a quick fix (keep your fingers crossed that its nothing major!) It's been so hot that I've not wanted to do ANYTHING not even get in my craft room (really hot in here!)

Today is My Creative Times Design Team Thursday and I was assigned the stamp set Happy Mail to work with! I just think this is the cutest stamp set! It's got some really great sentiments and also some adorable images that Emma handdrew! For my card, I used three different cartridges: Elegant Edges, Heritage, and Rock Princess. The background mat is from Elegant Edges, page 36. The sofa (it's called divan in the handbook) is from the Heritage, page 49. The girl (Jenn) is found on page 37 of the Rock Princess cartridge. The paper is from my paper stash (hee hee aren't you proud of me I went to my stash instead of cutting up new paper!!) I added some stitches using my white jelly roll pen for her blouse and skirt. I also added some stickles to her blouse to give her a little sparkle. For dimension, I used Helmar's black ZapDot's in behind the sofa. I also used Helmar's 450 Quick Dry as my adhesive. Here's a picture of the card from the side...

I have a bit of a surprise (well it was going to be a surprise lol) my sweet hubby bought me a camcorder over the weekend so that I can maybe start doing some videos!! I worked all day Saturday on a video (with this card) to share with you today but I haven't had any luck getting it downloaded to youtube sniff, sniff! It's still up for debate whether I'm going to take it back or not. I'd love to know what you think...would you like for me to do videos? I didn't realize how Southern I really was till I played the video back and I about died!! So, that's another thing worrying me hee hee (I really, really have a southern accent and I can't cover it up and there is NO hiding it either lol) I will still keep playing around with it and hopefully I will be able to figure it out soon and at least do one and maybe just go from there! Thanks for looking and I hope you have a wonderful day! Hugs, Leanne
