Scraps....HELP!!!!

PLEASSSSSSSSEEEEE somebody help!! I've been trying to organize my scraps today and ugh, I'm just about ready to throw in the towel!!! If you have followed me for a while you know I have mentioned several times I don't throw away ANYTHING!! I am now paying for my sins!!! I'm ashamed to admit this but I have 11 bins FULL of scraps! The above picture is about 3 inches high and not even half of the bin I started working on today! I took my bigger pieces and cut them all to 6 X 6 and I have NO clue what to do with all the little pieces. I have chunked alot of them that were really, really small (and having to fight myself not to rescue them from the garbage can hee hee) What is wrong with me???? I'm beginning to think I should be turned into the show Hoarders! I'm confessing right now I'm a paper Hoarder!! I started this craft in 2007 and no scraps have been thrown away since then! So......I know this has been asked a trillion times (and really wished I would have taken the time to listen and I wouldn't be in this mess) but what's the smallest scrap size you keep? Or just any advice that you have to share with me I would SO much appreciate it! I've got to get a handle on mine. The way it is now I won't dig through them when I'm making something. I always use a new sheet :( I really don't want to throw them away if I could get them organized I think I would use them more! If you have the time please leave me comments I'm BEGGING for help!!! Hugs, Leanne

SSCC Bling Challenge - Sending prayers

Hello everyone! I don't know what's up with me and writing this post! I can't tell you how many times and how many different ways I have started this and just seems nothing sounds right! So....I'm just going to jump right in and get down to business hee hee! Our current challenge at Stamping Scrapping Challenge Central is to use bling. I was going through my cartridges (one of my favorite things to do hee hee) and came across Lyrical Letters. This is one that I over look so often and just realizing it has some really pretty cuts on it! I used it and also George & Basic Shapes for my card. I used my I-Rock and crystal gems for the bling. I then misted with Tsukineko shimmer spritz (in sparkle). For my sentiment, I used my Grand Calibur and the next to the smallest die from the labels #9 set. For the border stamp, I used the Spellbinders Matching stamp set, Dash It All. For the actual sentiment, it is from the Spellbinders Matching stamp set, Tag Accents. I added Helmar's ZapDots to pop it up and add dimension. I also used Helmar's 450 Quick Dry for my adhesive.

Well, that's all the details I used in making this card! I do hope that you will play along with us! Thanks for looking! Hugs, Leanne

**Please say a special prayer for Kevin and Cindy today. Today is the day they lay their lovely daughter to rest. Please pray for comfort to help them make it through today's services.**

Sad news...

We received some very heart breaking news. The owner of StampingScrapping.com, Cindy and Kevin Echtinaw lost their only daughter Lindsey over the weekend. My heart crys out for them and can not imagine the pain they are going thru. I've been on Cindy's design team for a few years now and know that they had a very close relationship. Please remember them in your prayers thru this very, very difficult time.

A fund was established for helping the Echtinaw family with Lindsey’s funeral. If you feel inclined to help we please ask in lieu of flowers send your contribution to:

Thank you for your love and care.

Making Memories Slice 4 Sale

Hello and Happy Tuesday!! I wanted to see if anyone would be interested in buying my barely used Slice Machine? It comes with the carrying case, a case that holds the design cards, 5 design cards which are Basic 1 & Basic 3, Noteworthy, Mistle Toe, Fall Back To School, owners manuel, power cords, everything that you need to get started other than cardstock! It's been very well taken care of and is in excellent condition. If your interested please email me at Tobusyscrapping@bellsouth.net. This would retail way over $300 but I'm only asking $150 or I may be willing to do some trading just depends! This would also be great for those of you that go to crops and if I went to those I would probably keep it but since I don't it's just time to let it go! Thanks for looking! Hugs, Leanne

My Creative Time's 8th Edition Release Blog Hop!

Hello everyone!! I hope that you have enjoyed this week of sneaky peeks! Today is finally here and you can officially see the brand new spankin 8th Edition stamp sets wooo hooo!! These are available for purchase @8 am pst!! Be sure to hurry and get your order placed I have a feeling these will sell out FAST!!!

For my project today here are the two stamp sets that I used.....

I decided to make a little home decor project using the cricut cartridges Jolly Holiday's, Winter Frolic and a 8 x 10 canvas (you can purchase these at HL or Joann's). I used my Gypsy to size and arrange everything the way I wanted and then cut it all out with my expression. To get started on my canvas, I first painted on a layer of Gesso. I then used some acyrlic paint (Americana) to "try" hee hee to make a snowy looking background! I then took a small brush and white paint to make little dots to represent snow. After that had dryed, I then glued down each piece using Helmar 450 Quick Dry adhesive. I then used Staz On to stamp the two sentiments from Happy Mail and All Around Christmas. Now the next few steps are kinda a blur, I think I added everything other than the kitchen sink to add some shine and sparkle bahahahaha!! Lets see I know I added some Mod Podge and while that was drying I misted it with some Tsukineko SIlVER shimmer spritz  and completely had a HEART ATTACK because I was wanting to use the FROST one lol!!! So here's where everything started to get fuzzy trying to get the silver to not be so powerful hee hee. I misted with the Frost (hoping and hoping that would help) which did help some. I then used stickles and started out by just doing a few spots, but then just thought oh what the heck, so I squirted a glob and smeared it all over with my finger!!! And do you believe with ALLLLL that glitter and shimmer it's STILL hard to get that to show up in a picture!!! But TRUST me it's VERY, VERY shiney :) I then finished it off by using my crocodile punch to make two holes and some ribbon to be able to hang it! Here are some closer shots of Emma's stamps...

I just love Emma's new stamps!! Aren't they awesome!!!!! She has also created a embossing die that coordinates with this set!!  Here's a picture of it!

And some more exciting news....

My Creative Time's Day Four Sneeky Peeks!

Good morning! Welcome to day four of My Creative Time's Sneeky Peeks!! Wasn't yesterday's peeks fun! I love Halloween and I loved seeing what the other talented team members made! Today we are going to be showing peeks of  another adorable set called All Around Christmas!! Yup, before we know it Christmas will be here so this is a perfect set to get to start making those Christmas cards early!!

For my card, I used the cricut cartridge, Winter Frolic! Another cartridge I haven't gotten to use that much but filled with cute cuts! I used the carolers on page 45. I used my Gyspy and the hide feature to hide the faces so I could use the faces from Peachy Keen stamps. I added some faux stitching to the carolers with my white jelly roll pen. The little tree that is added to what I'm calling their song book hee hee is part of this set. I stamped it twice onto green cardstock (once for the song book and once for the center of the sentiment circle) and then added a little pink gem to both at the top of the tree. I used Emma's new scallop die and her embossing stitched circle to add the circle sentiment on. I love these dies they are so cute and cut and emboss like butter! Happy holidays is also from this set to! The snowflake paper is from Hobby Lobby and to make my "fake snow" I used a piece of white cardstock and tore it along the top. After I got the card all assembled the last thing I done was misted it with the Tsukineko frost shimmer spritz.

Well, that's my sneeky peek for today!! I hope you like it! Tomorrow is the big day!! Emma's newest stamps will be released and we will also be having our blog hop! Be sure to be leaving comments on everyone's peeks this week for your chance to win! Thanks for looking and see you back here tomorrow!!
Hugs, Leanne

My Creative Time's Sneeky Peeky Day 3!!

Welcome to day three of My Creative Time's sneeky peek week!! I'm sooo excited about this set we are working with today!! I guess I don't even have to tell you what theme it is hee hee!! But I will tell you the name of the set, it's All Around Halloween! This set includes 5 circle sentiments, 5 regular sentiments, and 5 images!! It's so darn cute I know for SURE your going to love it! Halloween is one of my favorite holidays and I'm looking forward to using this for all my little spooky projects lol!

I love the cricut cartridge Happy Hauntings! I got it last year and haven't had time to really explore or make half the things I want to! There are some really cute 3D objects on this cartridge! I've already made the Haunted House (which was time consuming but fun) the picture frame (which you can see several post back) so I decided to make the coffin box. Now to me (and remember I'm BLONDE hee hee) I was a little confused! I cut out all the layers on page 72 "thinking" this is all for one box (and it very well could be and I've totally screwed up bahahahaha) but after I had everything assembled I'm left with two boxes? I probably messed up but oh well, I got it to work just had pieces left over oops! After I had it put together I inked with Tim Holtz distress ink to age it. I then cut the Dracula from page 28. I used my white jelly roll to outline his black tux (not so sure if I like what I done there but it did make him stand out more) I added some silver little studs for buttons and one where his cape is tied on at. I then used some Tsukineko shimmer spritz in frost and sprayed him all over so now he sparkles lol! I used a McGill word punch (which I think I broke unless hubby can fix it sniff, sniff) and embossed the sentiment with Zing white embossing powder. If you also notice that cute little spider hanging from the web that is also included in this set! I used my white jelly roll again to fill in his eyes. I think a bunch of these filled with candy and placed in a bowl would be sooo cute for Halloween! I couldn't make enough (it would cost a small fortune) to give to all the trick or treaters we have but it would be nice to give to the little ones you are close to!  Here is a picture from the side (you know I have to do a side view hee hee)

Well, that's all for me today! I've got to get busy playing with tomorrows sneek peek (which is the most wonderful, merry holiday of the year! hint, hint) Be sure to leave comments each day and on each designers blog for your chance to win on Friday! If you would like more chances be sure to spread the word of Emma's release! Have a wonderful day and see you back here tomorrow!! Hugs, Leanne

Hello everyone! Welcome to day two of My Creative Time's sneek peeks! Wasn't everyone's projects just awesome yesterday! Has it got you excited for Friday? This is got to be one of my favorite releases so far!

Today we are showing peeks of Emma's set called Happy Mail! This is such a cute set with 14 sentiments and 8 images!! Who doesn't love happy mail?! I know I do and when I seen the sentiment I knew exactly what I wanted to do! These are some pictures I taken when I received my Helmar's Design Team goodie box! I know I scared the poor ole UPS guy to death and sad to say I've not seen him back since then hee hee! I've used 3 of the stamps from this set, the sentiment Happy Mail, Wild About Mail, & the tiny heart. Here is a close up so you can see those better..

See that cute little envelope? That's a new die that Emma will be releasing this Friday also! Isn't it cute and in this stamp set there is also a stamp that fits it perfectly! Dummy me forgot to use it! I used my Imagine for the pattern paper (Imagine More Cartridge). The monkey, vine, & leaf are from the Sweetheart cartridge. The mailbox is from Doodlecharms. I used My Grand Calibur and grand dies for the scallop and regular circle. I used a ruler to draw off some lines and used it also as my journaling. I hope you like my today's sneeky peek! I love how versatile Emma's stamps are! Whether you are a card maker or a scrapbooker (or both hee hee) they can be used for either one!! Be sure to leave comments this week on all the designers blog (plus Emma's) to have a chance to win Friday! You also have more chances if you help spread the word! Thanks for looking and be sure to come back tomorrow for day three sneek peeks!! Hugs, Leanne

Hey everyone! I hope you have had a wonderful weekend! Welcome to day one of My Creative Time's sneek peek week!!  Your going to FLIP when you see the new releases on Friday!! They are sooooo spooktacular and Merry (hint, hint) and I'm totally in love with this release!!!!!!! Ok, that's all your going to get out of me for now hee hee!! Today our sneek peek is using the set  Many Greetings. This will defintely be one that you will want to own!

I made a really quick and simple card using the Mother's Day and Lyrical Letters cartridge. I'm disappointed in my pictures. The butterfly looks all black but it's actually black and navy blue!! I did raise him up with Helmar's ZapDots. For the flower I only used one layer and cut that layer in green. I then used the single flower cut and made them a little bigger and cut both of them out in yellow. For the centers I found these in my stash and honestly can't remember where they came from I've had them for so long!! I added faux stitching around the edges using a black jelly roll pen and inked with Tim Holtz mustard seed. I then used some Glimmer Mist and sprayed the whole card. Not sure if you can tell but it's all nice and shimmery! I used the sentiment Thinking of You. I thought this would be nice to send to a friend that lost her husband  a couple of months ago. Here's a view from the side...

I really wished that butterfly would have showed up the right color darn it!! It's actually wayyy prettier than these photos show (not that any of my cards are that spectular but this one does look better in real life lol) Well, that's it for my sneek peek today! Thanks for looking and I'll be back tomorrow with another sneek peek!! Hugs, Leanne

Helmar & PSA Essentials Week - Fabulous Friends

Howdy peeps!  This week Helmar USA is partnering with PSA Essentials! It's been a great week and I've loved seeing all the great inspiration by both design teams! You still have time to head over to both blogs and leave comments, one lucky winner will win a prize pack worth $250!! How cool is that!

For my card, I used the stamp set "Smirk" Caffeine Confidants. Are they not the cutest little people hee hee! That's me and my best friend in the hot air balloon!! I'm the one with the wild curls bahahahahaha Or lets just say I'm pretending that's me! My hair is staight as a board (I'd have to put my finger in a light socket to get those kind of curls lol) Anyhoo, I think I'll send this card to her with some reminders of our adventures growing up!! Lord knows we had PLENTY!! The hot air balloon is a svg file by Lindsay's Stamp & Stuff, Up, Up & Away and I've used Helmar's ZapDots to pop it up. I have to say out of ALL the pop dots I've used Helmar's are ABSOLUTELY the BEST!!! I'm totally addicted to them! They are sooo sticky and you know they are going to hold up. I have things I've made using other brands and they have already came loose or fell off but these bad boys are STUCK!!! I highly recommend them!! I also used Helmar's 450 adhesive to glue everything (almost forgot to add that oops!) I'll also add that ALL Helmar products ROCK!! Ok, sorry got side tracked lol! I used my Imagine and the Imagine cartridge HopScotch for the pattern paper. I first stamped the image onto the cloud paper and then on a piece of white cardstock I stamped again and cut out. I then glued it on top of the other one. After I had it placed, I colored the little girls with my copic markers. I added faux stitching around the balloon and also around the edges. The sentiment is also from this same stamp set.  This was a easy peasy card with not alot of details (I'm still taking it easy with my peepers) but I do think it turned out cute! Here's a picture of it from the side...

Now don't forget to leave comments over at both blogs for your chance at a prize pack worth $250!! Have a great weekend and I'll see you back here next week with sneeky peeks of My Creative Time's new releases coming out next Friday!! Yipee!!! Hugs, Leanne

My Creative Time's Design Team Day!!

Happy Thursday everyone! This week Emma asked us all to use the stamp set Camera Shy for our projects! Again, I apologize for my pictures! Not having the best of luck with my lighting and it's always been hard for me to get a decent picture of layouts! I think if you click the picture it will enlarge it so you can see it better. Anyhoo, I've not done any crafting since my eye surgery and fill like my mojo has took a leave of absence! I'm hoping I get it back soon!! I think now that I've got the Imagine it also takes me longer to decide whether to try to use it or my expression!! With this layout I just broke down and used them both lol! I used the Imagine More cartridge for the pattern paper. I used one of the pre loaded images and filled with the green paper and the border is also one that came on the cartridge I just changed the colors. This is our fur baby Cody! He will be 12 years old this coming up January! I'm not sure if you can tell but he's a miniature pomerian. During the summer we always have him shaved down (which he totally LOVES) and then thru the winter he grows his hair all back! But he TOTALLY hates his picture taken hee hee! I can't tell you how many times I've tried he will not look at the camera for nothing! So when I seen the sentiment Camera Shy I remembered these pictures and knew I had to use it on this layout!! The puppy dog is from Paper Pups cartridge and his cool sunglasses is from Create a Critter. I added some glossy accents to the glasses and also drew him a collar. I added some crystal gemstones to the collar with my I-Rock. For his nose I used the Peachy Keen Character Face Parts. I used a Hot Off the Press template for my journaling lines. I stamped three of the cameras that Emma has included in the Camera Shy set and added glossy accents to the lens. I colored around the lens with my copics and last I added some faux stitching! For my adhesives I used Helmar 450 Quick Dry, Quick Fix Adhesive Runner, and ZapDots (I popped the sunglasses up) Well, I guess that's it for the details! I was excited when I seen this was the stamp set we were using this week it's one of my favorites! Be sure to head over to Emma's and see what she and my other design team sistah's made using the Camera Shy set! I can't wait they always wow me!! One more exciting thing before I go! Emma has asked me to stay on for another round!!!! I am so thrilled!!! I love being on her design team she's the greatest to design for! I also love the other talented ladies and feel honored to be part of this very talented group!! Thanks Emma for not giving me the boot hee hee!! Thanks for looking and have a wonderful day! Hugs, Leanne

Guest Designer for Imagine Nation Monday!!

Happy Monday! Just a little update on me and my new peepers hee hee!! I can see!!!! I can see!!!! My surgery went fine and I was knocked out all Thursday night. Friday I had to return back for a office visit to have my eyes checked. Which I was told everything is looking great! I have been having problems with my eyes getting dry and seeing up close which he told me should also improve. I'm still finding it weird not having to wake up and grab for my glasses first thing and can't tell you how many times I've reached at my face to push my glasses up (I guess out of habit lol) My husband and son both keep staring at me trying to get use to me without them!

Imagine Nation Monday

I was so excited when Emma asked me to guest design for Imagine Nation Monday! Thank you Emma this is such a honor!! This only makes my second project with the Imagine and like I've said in my last post I still have soooo much to learn!! Instead of making a card, I wanted a little change! I decided to take a white lunch sack and turn it into a gift bag! I also wanted to use my Formal Occasion cartridge and the night scene found on page 65. I thought this went perfect with Emma's stamp set Encouraging Quotes. I used the Imagine cartridge, HopScotch to fill in the image. I used Tim Holtz distress ink around the edges of the clouds along with some stickles then I popped them up with Helmars ZapDots. I decided to add a face to the moon using Peachy Keen's Critter faces. I also used more stickles for the stars. I used my white jelly roll pen to add some faux stiching. I used my crop a dile to punch two holes and added some ribbon from my stash for the bow. The three little stars stamped around the sentiment are also part of the Encouraging Quotes set and were stamped using Tim Holtz ink. I used Helmar's 450 Quick Dry to glue to the lunch sack. I apologize for the crappy pictures! For some reason I could not get a decent picture! It's really cuter in person than what the picture shows sniff, sniff!!! Here's a picture from the side...

I'm not sure but maybe clicking to enlarge them might help since the pictures turned out so small. Go figure when I get asked to Guest Design it seems everything goes wrong lol!!! Again, I want to say thanks to Emma for letting me share my simple little project with you as her guest designer! Have a great week! Hugs, Leanne

My First Imagine Card!!! (Go Easy!)

Happy hump day lol!! I'm just one more day away from getting my lasik eye surgery woo hoooo!! I've spent yesterday and doing things today trying to get everything in order and I'm just about done whew!! As I type this up I'm coloring my hair and haven't gotten my glasses on so I'm blind as a bat!  Hee hee after tomorrow hopefully all that will change and NO more being blind!!

I'm loving my Imagine!! I now have all the Imagine cartridges on my wish list lol!! I finally got time the other day (I think it was Saturday but not sure) and actually made something!! I used some of my reward points and got the Formal Occassion cartridge so I wanted to use it also. I finally got my Imagine and my Gyspy working together and figured out how to use a regular cartridge with the Imagine ones. Except I did stump into a problem for a little with the Imagine not wanting to recognize my Gyspy. After turning it off and unplugging several times I finally got it to work. I hope that doesn't happen again it was very frustrating. I also tried using two imagine cartridges. I wanted the base of the palm tree in another color so what I did was cut everything I wanted from the Hopscotch cartridge and then I cut the layer for the palm tree separate using Imagine More. I tried cutting this all at once but when I started having all the problems I thought this might have been the cause to (still not sure on that) I added some stickles and some Helmar ZapDots under the umbrella. My sentiment is from My Creative Time, Have Fun In the Sun stamp set. Here is a side view....

Hopefully, I will get more time to play soon after my surgery because I still have LOTS to learn! Well, I guess I better get off now and finish my hair (hopefully all that gray is GONE hahahaha) I love my son WITH ALL MY HEART but he's the reason I have to keep color in stock here he sure knows how to add gray to anyone's hair!!! Have a wonderful rest of the week it may be a few days or even next week before I'm back so keep me in your prayers that everything goes great tomorrow! Hugs, Leanne

Late Father's Day gift!

Happy 4th of July!! I hope that everyone has had a safe and wonderful holiday. It was a little different for us this year. We didn't have a family get together so we decided to go to Bridge Street in Huntsville. We were going to stay all day and then for the fireworks tonight but we literall about died it was so hot! So, we decided to have our on little 4th here minus the fireworks lol. We grilled shrimp and made homemade ice cream that turned out sooooo good! I guess I shouldn't have said minus the fireworks because we were able to sit outside and they were being shot all around us for FREE!!! It's been a great day!

I know this is a little late, but I want to share with you my hubbies Father's Day gift! I would have already showed it but he had to order it and just got it in this weekend. It's the body for his RC car. It came clear and I had to paint it! He wanted something different that no one else would have so of course I had to use my cricut!! I used the Stand and Salute cartridge (perfect day to share since it's the 4th hee hee) I cut the camoflauge and eagle out of vinyl and used as my template. I think it turned out pretty cool and he is really proud of it! Here's another view of it....

Well, I'm fixing to call it a night! I've got a simple card made that I need to take pictures and hopefully I will have it up tomorrow! I've gotten a little bit behind and got to get busy on some projects that will be coming due soon and plus I've missed not getting to play as much as I've wanted! Just 3 more days till my eye surgery wooo hooooo!! I can't wait till that's behind me!! Welp, I'm heading to bed! Thanks for stopping by and looking! Hugs, Leanne

P.S. I just had to come back to edit and say these photos were taken outside on our driveway!! The pictures look like the car is on carpet with lots of stains hee hee so I had to clear that up lol!
