Campin Critter Picture Frame!

Photobucket

Hello everyone! It's my turn to share with you my project for the SSCC anything goes challenge!  Sorry about the picture, I could not get the lighting right arrrr. It actually looked better not adjusting the color this time so I just left it as it was! This project is also for the Scrappy Frogs Challenge which is also a anything goes challenge! I had soooo much fun making this picture frame and I'm so excited how it came out! Emma's guest designer, Mandie, from Mandie's Scrappin' created a gorgeous frame and I just had to make one to! The frame is cut from the Happy Hauntings cartridge, minus the web layer! I remember wanting to make one around Halloween time but then after Halloween was over completely forgot!! I also used the cartridge, Campin Critters. This is the first time I've got to use this cartridge and oh my! those critters are cute!! They were really easy to layer. I added google eyes because I didn't like how the eyes looked after I got them put together. I think the google eyes made them look so much better (just in my opinion) I used Tim Holtz distress ink to ink the edges. I used Vintage Photo for around the frame and the moose and then for the sun I used mustard seed. I used two of Emma's stamp sets, Turn That Frown Upside Down and You Had Me At Chocolate and embossed with Zing embossing powder.  I also used Memento ink  Bamboo Leaves to ink the grass around the sign. Here is a side view! I popped everything up on pop dots!!

I'm just so stinkin proud of this! I hope you like it to! Before I go, on a more serious note....I would like to ask everyone to please keep Alabama in your prayers. We were hit really bad with a total of 168 tornado's through out the state on Wednesday. My family and I are so truly blessed that we made it through with no damage and are safe. We also have power. There are so many families tonight that are homeless, without power, and loved one's still missing. So please continue to pray it is just a very sad time for so many. Here is just one of the many pictures taken of a tornado that hit about 15 to 20 miles from me (actually this is one of the ones that went over us but never touched the ground)

Thanks for looking and don't forget to head over to Helmar USA facebook page and tell them I sent you! I'm seriously getting my butt kicked PLEASE HELP!!!

Woodware USA Meet's Stamping Scrapping Designs Blog Hop!!

****For Emma's Throwback Thursday post please scroll down****

Good morning everyone! Welcome to our blog hop!! Today the Stamping Scrapping design team joins forces with the awesome designers from Woodware Stamps! How exciting is this!! You will be able to hop back and forth between both companies designers showcasing stamps from each one. Be sure to leave a comment on each blog for a chance to win a prize. Woodware USA will choose a winner from comments left on their design team blogs and StampingScrapping will pick a winner from comments left on their design team blogs. The hop starts at the StampingScrapping DT blog, 12:01 AM Thursday, April 28th and will end on the Woodware USA blog. You will have until 11:59 PM Sunday, May 1st to leave your comment. Winner will be announced via email on Tuesday, May 3rd.

For my card, I used the stamp set Fairy Tots from Woodware USA. Isn't she cute! This set comes with 8 images and two phrases so it's very fun to work with! This is also my very first shadow box card and I loved the challenge of it (there were times I just about gave up hee hee) On the front, I used the cute little girl fairy and paper pieced her from some pattern paper. I added some crystal gems to her shoes with my I-Rock. I used my copics to color her hair & face. I then used my Grand Calibur, classic scallop circle, and classic circle to add my sentiment on. I used Cindy's, Spellbinders Matching stamp set, Lacy Circles for the ring border and sentiment. I then stamped and paper pieced the mushrooms. The ribbon is from my stash.

For the inside of my card, I used the cute little mushroom house and I paper pieced it also. I also used the same dies listed above for the scallop circle and plain circle. The border at the bottom was done with a Friskars punch.

Here is a picture of my card taken from the side! Well, that completes the details for my project! I really hope you like it! Don't forget to leave a comment for your chance to win! Thanks for looking and now it's time to head over to the very talented Sheri!

Here is the blog hop list!

Emma' Throw Back Thursday!

Hello everyone!! Welcome to Emma's Throwback Thursday!! She has given us a challenge to make any 3D project such as treat bags, gift bags, card sets, etc. We also could use any stamp set or any cartridge of our choice! The sky's the limit and wouldn't you know it....I went blank hee hee! So please forgive me this is a really simple, simple set that I put together! I used the Mom You Rock stamp set since Mother's Day is fast approaching I thought I could make something simple for my mom! My husband has made her the most beautiful birdhouse EVER!! I'm so excited and can't wait till she sees it! That's all she wanted so I was thrilled that it turned out so pretty! I used the A Child's Year cricut cartridge for both silhouettes. I've not used this cartridge very much but I love how something this simple turns out something so pretty (with no help from me all on its own hee hee) I really may be making more of these silhouette cards soon! They would be great when you need something really quick and last minute! The bag is from Tags, Bags, Boxes & More. The little bag is empty now but I will make sure it has something for Mother's Day! This Thursday is also our last Throwback Thursday with this design team sniff, sniff. I can't tell you how special each and every one of them are to me! It's been such a blast getting to know each other and I do believe that lasting friendships have been made! That's it for me today!! Thanks for looking and don't forgot to check out Emma's blog to see what the other's have made! Oh and before I go! Did you happen to see my layout on HSN!!!!! Talk about excited, my feet hasn't touched the ground since late Monday night!!! I was so glad I used one of Emma's stamp sets so we both had a few seconds of fame hee hee!! I'd like to say thanks to Emma for making a special post about it and to Nikki for giving me a shout out on her FB page hee hee  and also to the ones that seen it and left a comment! (Ok, I'm done giving my little celebrity wave bahahahaha)

I'M A HELMAR GIRL!!!

My Layouts for Provo Craft Contest!

Happy Easter everyone! I hope you are having a great weekend! Thank you for all the get well wishes! I am feeling better! I still sound kinda ruff but I'm definetly doing better than I was on Thursday! Today I want to share with you my 3 layouts I made for the Provo Craft contest. I was just going to share one a day but thought what the heck show em all!!! Now let me just start out by saying and I honestly mean this I probably don't stand a chance in blue blazes in being one of the winners (not saying that I wouldn't love to be because I really want the new E2!!) I'm just sure the amount of talent out there and as many people that entered well...I'm just not holding my breath! I'm still glad I entered. I usually don't have the guts for these things so I have to give myself a pat on the back to actually have followed thru and done it! I kept all three of these layouts pretty simple and tried to use cartridges that others might not would think of. This first layout is using the cricut lite Block Party cartridge! I've had it for awhile and been wanting to try it out! The only complaint I have with the cricut lite cartridges are the little handbooks!! I don't care how hard I squint or how close I hold it to my nose I still can't see them!! I really, really wished they would have made these BIGGER!! You see how big I cut her and there were still pieces I had no clue went were so she's missing some parts but I still like how she came out! I also used Emma's Polka Dot Surprise Stamp set on here to! The cake is from the Celebrations cartridge.

This next layout I used the Baby Steps cartridge. Again, really simple layout! The bow is from the Sweethearts cartridge. I also used my I-Rock for the ear rings.

I used the Hoot n Hollar cricut lite cartridge for this layout. It's another cartridge that I've had and haven't used so I wanted to do something with it to! Well that's them! Nothing fancy hee hee! I'm really excited to see who win's and for the release of the E2! I've got my DVR set but I'm still hoping to watch it live but just in case, I don't want to miss it!! Thanks for looking and if you want you can cross your fingers with me (sure could use the extra luck hee hee) I hope everyone has a wonderful Easter! We are going to my mom's for dinner! I sure do miss the Easter egg hunting days! My son told me if I would fill each egg up with a $20 he would be more than thrilled to hunt eggs! If I hadn't already gotten rid of my Monoply game I would have filled it up with fake 20's wouldn't that have been funny!!  Also, I will be picking the winner from Emma's blog hop soon so stay tuned!! Hugs!

My Creative Time's April Release Blog Hop!

Good morning people!! Welcome to Emma's April release blog hop! If you have just came from Glora's blog then your on the right track! If by some reason you need to start from the beginning please head to Emma's blog! It's real important for you to visit each of the design team member's blogs and also to leave a comment on each one to be entered to win! But c'mon that's not so hard!!! Each one is show casing one of the new releases and wowzers they are cute!! I'm going to have to make my post a little short. Not sure if some of you read where my husband was sick this week and me playing nurse? Well...guess what?? I'm now sick and feel like crap! Sooo let me get on to my card details so I can high tail back to bed!! The new release stamp I'm getting to show off today is Pain,Pain Go Away (and believe me I've been saying that to myself several times today so this set was right up my alley lol) I did a search in my Gyspy for the word sick and this little doggie in the bed from Paper Pups popped up! It's been ages, on top of ages, since I've used this cartridge so I decided to blow off the dust and use it!! I tried to make it kinda resemble a bedroom so I made a little picture to go on the wall!! The paper is from scrap stash! The little hearts I stamped at each end of the foot of the bed is also from Emma's set, My One and Only. The inside is also from the new release Pain, Pain Go Away and it say's You are in our thoughts & prayers.  Ok, now get ready to put your blinders on!! My next card is bright and I don't want to damage your eyes hee hee

I decided to make a second card! The lips are from Indie Art. I've added some stickles to give some sparkle. I also placed a wobble behind so the lips move back and forth! Love wobbles!! The shape I put the sentiment on is a spellbinders die.  I cut a small strip of paper to look like a ribbon and added some faux stitching. All four of Emma's new releases are available for purchase now so don't forget to check out her shopping page!  Ok, now it's turn for you to hop on over to Vicky's blog and see what gorgeous project she has waiting for you!! Thanks for hopping along with us and be sure to leave a comment for your chance to win a bonus stamp! Contest will end Sunday morning and the winners will be announced Monday on Emma's blog! (Please forgive me for any typo's, major grammar no no's, and well just anything else you see that didn't make sense!!)  Here is the blog hop line up!!

Jumping for Joy it's Thursday with Emma!!

Hello everyone! Happy Thursday! I hope you are having a great week! I'd like to share with you my card I made for my turn over at Emma's! She challenged us this week to use the colors purple and green and also assigned each of us a different stamp set. She chose the stamp set, Just a Little Note to say set for me and I was tickled because I love that set!! Well, I love all of Emma's stamps so it really wouldn't have mattered hee hee!  Doesn't this bring back memories! I used to love to jump rope hee hee! If I tried that now....well let's just say it wouldn't be purty at all lol!!! This little girl is from the Playtime cartridge. I just love this cartridge and so thrilled that I was able to win it off Ebay!! I used the Peachy Keen Princess face assortment for her face. I also added a wobble (thank you Nikki!!) to her so she moves!!! So cute!! The paper is from my paper stash and was just perfect for this card! I stamped the sentiment in tuxedo black memento ink. I also used another sentiment from this set for the inside of my card. Sorry for the crappy picture :(

I've been finishing out the insides of the last few cards I made and may have to start doing this on a regular a basis! I like how it looks. And last here is a side view of my card!

Well, that's all for me today but be sure to come back tomorrow!  Emma's releasing 4 new sets and OMG! they are going to blow you away with cuteness!! We will be having a blog hop and this hop you don't want to miss! Thanks for looking! Have a wonderful day!! Hugs to you all!

Peachy Keen Challenge Surprise!

Hey!  How is everyone? I've been playing nurse today! My hubby is sick and didn't work so you can only imagine what my day's been like lol! I'm hoping he feels better SOON!! Anyway, I still was able to have a little playing time and I just so happen to see the new Peachy Keen Challenge! This challenge is using a sketch that you can see here and they have added a twist and that would be to use metallic accents somewhere within your project. The twist was the hard part for me because I couldn't think of anything metallic I owned! But then I remembered some ink that I've had forever by Tsukineko, called Brilliance starlite silver. I turned on my Gypsy and started going thru some of my cartridges when I ran across this cute little bear sticking out of a garbage can on the Give A Hoot cartridge. It's not showing up so well but after I cut it I then inked the can up really good with the ink so it's nice and shiney! I used Peachy Keen Everyday Character Face parts and the Funshine Face Parts for his face. I also added some freckles with my Martha Stewart pen.  I then used my Grand Calibur to cut the circle and scallop circle. The sentiment is by Emma and it's from the set Polka Dot Surprise! I also used her stamp set Wow! So Many Candles in the inside of the card but yet to figure out how to get a good inside picture (any suggestions??) But anyway, the inside says...Wishing you the Best Birthday Ever! The gorgeous flower is from a challenge I won way back at Tuesday Morning Sketches. Melissa made me several of these and wow they are sooo pretty! I used a Friskars punch for the grass and the border punch is by Martha Stewart. I've had this paper in my stash for sooo long I can't remember where I even got it or who it's by (sorry) but it's also very shiney! Well, I believe that's got all the details out of the way hee hee! I sure hope that they make sense because it's pretty late and I'm really sleepy! We are suppose to have bad weather moving in tonight ugh! As sleepy as I am I just might sleep thru it! Well, I'm off to la la land! Thanks for looking and I love reading all your comments they mean so much to me! Thank you and nightie nite!!

MoJo Monday sketch card!

Happy Monday everyone! Did everyone have a good weekend? Mine was pretty boring but enjoyable :) I love lazy days...

I got the new MoJo Monday sketch in my inbox today and decided to play along! It's been so long since I've done one of their sketches and for some reson this one just caught my eye! I didn't follow it exactly, their sketch used a circle and I went with a oval and I didn't use a tag but I still hope it's close enough hee hee!

To start out with I cut a piece of Kraft cardstock at 4 1/4 x 11 and used my scor pal to scor at 5 1/2 leaving me with a standard A2 card measuring 4 1/4th x 5 1/2. The patterned paper is by Basic Grey (love, love, LOVE their paper!) Next, I used my new JustRite stamp set Song in My Heart. I stamped the outside border in Memento Paris Dusk and the phrase in Memento Pear Tart. I then used my Grand Calibur along with the classic oval and scallop oval Spellbinders dies and layered those together. I tried something new for my bow! It's also made from paper and was super simple to make! Hmmmm I might get brave and do a turtorial on how to make it! It would have to be a picture turtorial you wouldn't want to hear my southern accent hee hee! I did feel like it needed something in the middle so I added a flower by Stamping Scrapping and a gem brad. I normally don't decorate the insides of my card but I chose to this time since I had one small strip of the Basic Grey paper left (I never throw ANYTHING away hee hee) I haven't figured out a good way of taking inside photos yet so here is a side view!

Well, that's it for the details on my card! I hope you like it! Thanks for stopping by my blog and I hope I've inspired you just a teenie weenie bit hee hee! Have a great week!

SSCC Challenge – Water or Rain

PackYourBagslayout

Hello everyone! It’s my turn to share my project over on the SSCC Blog. This challenge our theme is either rain or water.   We are “hopefully” getting to go to the beach this summer so I thought I might get a jump start and do a layout!  I used the cricut cartridge Pack Your Bags. It’s such a cute cartridge! It would be great for cruise layouts and hopefully one day that’s what I’ll be using it for!  I showed this layout to my hubby to get his input (don’t know why he really could care less but he’s sweet and acts like he does lol) Anyway, he looked and said there is no whale where we will be going and I just laughed because that’s what I always tell people I look like in a bathing suit! I’m always scared when I’m at the beach someone’s going to yell OMG! There’s a washed up whale!! That’s why I added one to this layout kinda like a inside joke for me!  For the sun and the waves I did use two different cartridges for those cuts. The sun is off of the Doodlecharms cartridge and I used a Peachy Keen face stamp (forgot to mention I used a Peachy Keen face stamp for the girl also) The waves are cut from the Plantin Schoolbook cartridge and it’s not showing up but I did add some stickles.  One other think you probably can’t tell by the photo I used my I-Rock and added a gem to the flower and one to her bathing suit. For my mats I used my Grand Calibur to cut the Grand scallop square, grand square, scallop circle, and classic circle.  I drew some lines so I can use this as my journaling spot when I add my photo.  I’m hoping to get back into scrapbooking more I miss it and I’m soooo far behind that I really need to!  That’s it for me today! I hope you like it and thanks so much for stopping by! Enjoy your weekend!

A little fairy dust is all you need...

Hello everyone! Sorry it's been so long since I've posted anything! It's not that I haven't been crafting it's just on things I can't show yet! Has anyone entered the contest that Provo Craft has going on right now? I got my three layouts done and in the mail this past Monday! I know I don't stand a chance, but you never know till you try! So, I just decided to go for it! Now the hard part just waiting till the 26th! Wish me luck I really, really want to win!!  Ok, now let me tell you about my card! This cute little fairy is by Woodware and the name of the stamp set is Fairy Tots. Instead of coloring with my copics, I thought I would do some paper piecing using the Linen Closet stack by DCWV. I then used my Grand Calibur and the spellbinders scallop and classic circle dies for all the layers of the card. This was a super quick card but I like the way it turned out! Hopefully, the person I'm sending it to will also! See the picture below? I finished the inside!! I usually leave my cards blank but decided this time to do something with the inside!

That's it for me tonight! Heading to bed to get my beauty sleep hee hee! Thanks for looking! Nite, nite and sweet dreams!!

Throwback Thursday at Emma’s!

owllayout

Hoot Hoot! Hope everyone is having a great week!! It sure has been a “interesting” one  around here hee hee! Emma has asked us to make a layout this week using her stamps and let me tell you when the word layout came out I about fainted! I haven’t did a layout in probably two years!! Not that I don’t need to or want to but been sooo use to making cards that I just haven’t squeezed any scrapbooking in! I’m so glad she did because after I got over the oh my gosh feeling I actually had fun! The set I was to use this week is All Star Baby but I wounded up using IT and Polka Dot Surprise! Ok, I really, really hope everyone is not getting sick of seeing some type of bird in my projects here lately! I’ve mentioned several times I’m “kinda” obsessed with them right now hee hee  It goes way beyond just paper crafts to! I find myself sitting out on our front porch just watching these pretty little creatures! I’ve been looking thru my svg files here lately because to be honest I’m not sure just how much longer I will get to use them. I know everyone has heard the lawsuit that Provo Craft has against Craft Edge so I figured I might should use these svg’s while I still have the chance!  This set is from MyScrapChick. I just love her files they are sooo cute and fun to paper piece together! I used the script cuttlebug embossing folder for each of the owl’s tummies and the forest branches folder for the tree.  The sentiment May Your Dreams Come True is from Emma’s Polka Dot Surprise. I just thought it fit so well with the proud owl parents looking over their sweet little one! I mean we all want our children’s dreams to come true, right?!?!  I know it’s hard to tell in the first photo but I then used My Little Star Who Fell From the Sky sentiment from Emma’s All Star Baby to stamp around the edges.  I was going (and probably still will) add some twine around the photo mat but completely forgot and I already had my picture taken and being I had such a hard time getting a half way decent picture I’ll just let you imagine it’s there hee hee!  Below is a close up of the sentiment around the edges which I stamped using Memento ink. Well, that’s it for me today! I hope you like my layout and as always thank you soooo much for stopping by for a visit! I also want to give a warm welcome to my new followers! I’m almost to 700!!  Thank you all for making this so fun!  Hugs!

Tiny Blessings…

Happy hump day!  I wanted to share a project with you that I actually made for a future blog hop! I got so excited that I thought heck, I’ll just share it now and make something else when it’s closer to time lol! I started out with a Easter theme in mind but now it’s more of a Spring theme! For the fence planter I used the Wrap It Up cricut cartridge. I got this cartridge at Christmas and I have never used it (well not that I remember anyway). It’s not very sturdy after it’s assembled so I weaved a ribbon around and that helped.  I then added some styrofoam  and some dried moss to cover.  I cut the tree from the cricut lite Bloom cartridge.  I cut the tree four times, two out of cereal boxes and two to cover front and back. I used the cuttlebug again to emboss the tree using the distress folder.  I then used Kate’s ABC for the bird looking at the egg (such a cute little image hee hee) The flowers that are stuck in the grass are from A Garden of Words but the flowers in the tree are from Kates ABC.  The little bird in the nest is a svg file from MyScrapChick.  I had to hand draw the eyes, it was to small to use my Peachy Keen stamps on :( I then cut a birds nest from Create A Critter and added more dried moss. The three flowers that are hanging are glued onto a JustRite stamp from the set Charmed and then I just tied some twine and hung them from the branches.  I really hate that I didn’t get a good picture of the JustRite stamp under the bow! It’s from the JustRite stamp set Song In My Heart. It says Its the Tiny Blessings that help us see just how lovely life can be and I also used one of the borders that came with the set. I then used my oval nestibilities to cut it out.  This was such a fun project and sooo out of my comfort zone!  I like the way it turned out I’m just not sure what I’m going to do with it hee hee  Thanks for looking and I hope you are having a wonderful day in your part of the world! Hugs! Leanne

Sparkle Challenge at SSCC!

Thankyousomuch

Hello everyone! I’d like to share with you my card for the sparkle challenge at SSCC. It’s a little hard to tell in this photo but I promise it sparkles hee hee! I used several items to make this card but it was so fun and I actually like the way it turned out! I just hope the person I’m sending it to likes it also! Everything I used on this card I got from StampingScrapping.com (except for the Kate’s ABC cartridge) If you are looking for a online store that is trustworthy, safe with excellent customer service and super fast shipping I highly recommend StampingScrapping.com! I truly can’t say enough nice things about Cindy and Kevin (owners) I’m very blessed that I get to design for them! I never will promote anything on my blog that I don’t love! Instead of me trying to explain what all I used I’m going to give you a supply list I think it’s easier this way! But if there is something you see I did that you have a question on please feel free to email me and I’d be happy to explain how I did it! Thanks for looking and I hope you have a wonderful day! Hugs!

Thank You...for being so sweet!

Happy Monday everyone! Whew, we have had some severe weather here in Alabama today! I'm sooo not a fan of high winds, loud thundering (rattled my windows), and freaky lightening!  I'm hoping the worst is over with! The weekend was gorgeous tho and we got some things done that was long over due! We are planning a yard sale soon and our building that we store things out back is finally clean and organized (well it's still  storing our yard sale items but as soon as it is over we will finally be able to move around in it hee hee) I wanted to get this card on earlier today but due to the weather I'm just now getting the chance. I sit up late last night and played (almost killed me this morning having to get up but so worth the therapy time hee hee) Anyhoo, I'll quit rambling and just tell you about my card! The cute birdie is a svg file from MyScrapChick. Isn't he adorable! It was love at first sight when I seen his cute little face and I had to have it! I cut a branch from the cricut lite Bloom cartridge and the nest which he's sitting in is from Create a Critter. I've added some dried moss that I've got left from another project I've got going (I can't wait to show you it hee hee but it will be awhile it's for a blog hop in about a month) I stamped some clouds and shadowed them with my copic marker. The sentiment is from Emma's So Grateful For You set. Again, I've used a white background! I think I'm just going to quit buying pattern paper! Drives me bonkers sometimes just trying to use it hahahaha! I wanted to make this look like he's sitting high above in the tree looking down from his birds nest (like a normal little birdie). I hope this is how you see it to! Well, that's all for me today! Thanks for looking and also for stopping by! As my mom would say...stay weather alert! I'm sure these storms will be rolling on to someone elses home town so be ready!!
