Holiday Recipe Mini Album

Hey everyone!! Here is the mini recipe album I've been working on. It's really simple but I'm hoping it's going to really come in handy! Each year I have to dig thru all my holiday recipes and it's time that I get a little more organized! I was so inspired by Mary's mini over on CardzTV that I had to make one for myself!! It's really a simple mini and embellished very simple also. But since it's just for my use and I really wanted to get it done quick I wanted it to be simple! I used my From the Kitchen Cricut cartridge for all the shapes except on the back cover. I ran across the cute little gingerbread girl at Digital Delights by Louby Lo. I purchased this SVG file and I also fell in love with some of the digital stamps that I may go back and purchase! I also used Wild Cards for the font. The paper is from DCWV last years holiday stack. I also used a Martha Stewart bow punch thru out the album. Other supplies: white jelly roll pen, Tim Holtz vintage photo distress ink, Peachy Keen Faces for the Gingerbread boy and girl on front cover, and stickles. I'm using just plain index cards that I'm fixing to copy my recipes on. Sorry about the pictures I know they are not the best but hopefully you can see the album ok. Thanks for stopping by and looking!!

Bildmalarna Blog Challenge - Focus on Red!

Hello everyone! I'm back with another Christmas card! This card is for the Bildmalarna Blog challenge. The challenge this time is to make the main focal color red. I don't say this often and promise I'm not bragging now but I'm so pleased how this card came out! Everything just kinda fell in place and was a real joy to do! Sometimes I take the fun out by stressing to much over this and over that. This card wasn't like that so maybe that's why I'm so proud of it hee hee! I used Bildmalarna stamp, Mimosa Christmas Angel and colored her with my copics. The Holly frame is from the Joys of the Season cricut cartridge. I've been finding some really neat cuts on this cartridge that I've not noticed before! The plaid paper is from DCWV last years Holiday Stack and the music paper is some I had left over from a previous card a couple posts back. The sentiment is a Studio G (thank goodness for these stamps or I wouldn't have any sentiments hee hee) and I cut out using my oval nesties. I added a little bling to the bow (not sure what you call those) and that's it! I hope you like it!
Now come show us what you can do using red and your Bildmalarna stamps!! Thanks for looking!!

Scrappy Frogs Challenge Blog - Christmas card!

Hey ya'll! Hope everyone has enjoyed their weekend! They fly by to fast for me! Here is my card for the new challenge we have over at Scrappy Frogs Challenge Blog. The challenge this time is to make a Christmas card. I've been wanting to ink my new Bildmalarna stamp, Christmas Tree Tossa up for awhile and this was the perfect chance! The background is a stamp from DRS Designs called Triple Tree with snow (which was colored with copics and stickles). The holly vine was cut from Joys of the Season cricut cartridge. I added some faux stiching and the sentiment is a studio G stamp. It's really plain but I couldn't think of anything else I wanted to add so I left it alone!  When I was young we (mom, dad, and my brother) would go out to the woods and look for the "perfect" Christmas tree. Daddy would cut it down and we would load it up and bring it home to decorate. I can still remember how well it smelled our home up! Anyway, that's what inspired me when I was making this card. Tossa here is showing off her freshly cut Christmas tree that she has decorated up and wishing us all a Merry Christmas! We would love for you to play along with us on this challenge.  Thanks for stopping by today and hope you come back soon!

Simple Happy Birthday card!

Hey ya'll! Happy Friday! Have you ever had a idea pop in your head  and it just won't leave you alone to you do it? Well, this happened to me last night! I had this card pictured in my head for the last few days and last night I finally just broke down and made it! I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing but here it is hee hee! It was super, super, super fast and easy! I used the Cricut Wild Card cartridge and the Cindy Loo cartridge. After I had everything cut out it probably took last then 5 minutes to assemble! The sentiment is a studio G which was cut out with my oval nestibilities. I added some faux stitching, stickles to the little birdie, and a little pearl for the eye and that's it!! Oh, forgot the paper is from the Linen Closet by DCWV and kraft cardstock. Again, easy peasy and if your in a jam and need a fast card this one fits the bill! Hope you like! Thanks for looking and have a wonderful weekend!

LSS Sale and a Christmas card!

Hey ya'll! Wow! I see I have some new followers!!  Welcome! I'm glad to have you and hope you come back and visit often!! (That applies to everyone hee hee) I love for people to visit my blog :)  Today is Lindsay's Stamp Stuff day and I'd like to share a card with you using one of her brand new sets she released this week.  Her Halloween set was such a hit that she has released one for Christmas and it's just as gorgeous!! The Vintage Christmas Label set comes with 15 digital stamps that can be used with your nestibilities all for $5! But guess what?? Your in luck!! Lindsay's having a 40% off sale tomorrow! More on the sale in just a minute let me go ahead and tell you about my card! I'm trying to get a jump start on some Christmas cards instead of waiting till the last minute like I normally do! I'm in love with cardinals at the moment and discovered some really pretty ones on the 50 States cricut cartridge.  I've had this cartridge forever!  I can't believe I'm just now starting to use it! I also used Joys of the Season to cut the holly branch. The gold mesh/ribbon is from my stash and I thought it went well with the over all feel of the card (plus the fact I couldn't find anything else that would match hee hee) I printed Lindsay's label on some kraft cardstock and hand cut it out. The paper is by the girls paperie, the tinsel & twig line. I only have a few sheets of this and it's gorgeous paper! It's double sided and the other side is really pretty! That's the hard part when you love both sides trying to decide which one to use! Ok, now on to the sale! You DONT want to miss this sale! It starts tonight at midnight and everything in Lindsay's MyGrafico shop is 40% off!  She's also came out this week with a gingerhouse svg file that's super duper cute and a wee album.  It's a perfect time to stock up now while the sales going on!! Also, don't forget to visit Lindsay's personal blog where she always has a neat freebie waiting for you on Thursday's! Also, my design team members blog links are in my sidebar please take a minute to visit them and see their gorgeous work! Thanks for stopping by!!

SSCC new challenge - Thanks

Happy Hump Day! We have a new challenge that just started over on Stamping Scrapping Challenge Central. It's a color combo black and yellow. This was a tuff one for me! I was just about to give up when I saw the scare crow on the October 31st solutions cartridge! This is such a great cartridge and one that I would recommend to anyone! It's got some really great images and super simple to cut with no layering! I also used My World for the wheat. The stamp is a dollar stamp that came from Joann's. The paper and ribbon are from my stash. Cindy, from StampingScrapping.com has all the new seasonal cartridges in and just waiting to ship out! She offers great customer service and super fast shipping so head over there today for all your scrapbooking needs!! Thanks for looking!

Getting a start on Christmas cards!

Happy Saturday everyone!! Today is me and my hubby's birthday!! No big plans...if you have had as many of them as we have had they get to be no big deal hee hee! He's racing today (leaving me here alone sniff, sniff) Kyle's here for now but I'm sure he will have better things to do then hang out with his dear old mom! I'm planning on (if things work out the way I want hee hee) spending all day crafting just as soon as I get this post on!! I made this card last night while my hubby was getting all his racing stuff together for today. I was inspired so much by Sheri's card on the SSCC yesterday!!  Even tho I didn't have the Tim Holtz birdcage die I knew I could find one on one of my cricut cartridges!! I'm pretty pleased with how it came out but Sheri's card  I just couldn't compete with, it was gorgeous!! I used the Bloom cricut lite cartridge for the birdcage and branch. I found the cardinal on the 50 states cartridge (can you believe this is the first time I've used that cartridge, shame on me) The little tag was cut from Tags, Bags, Boxes, and more. I used a Martha Stewart punch for the greenery inside the birdcage and then added these gorgeous, gorgeous flowers that Melissa sent me from Tuesday Morning Sketches (it was the prize I got for winning a challenge on their site) The gorgeous paper is from Lindsay's new Homemade set that she released this week. I sprayed the birdcage with gold glimmer mist and also used Tim Holtz vintage photo distress ink. I used my copics on the cardinal to try to make it more life like. The sentiment is a studio G stamp. I need to really get busy on Christmas cards! I'd love to make some for my Etsy shop (which by the way not having much luck) and to be able to send to friends and family! Well, I'm off now to play! Hopefully, I'll have something fun to share with you soon!! Thanks for looking and have a wonderful weekend!!

Lindsay's Stamp Stuff - Happy Thanksgiving!

I'm back!!! I finally was able to get some crafting time in today! Yay! It's been raining here today and been kinda gloomy so getting to play sure did help keep the blues away!  I had fun going back thru all my play pretties and discovering things I had forgotten about! We have had some beautiful fall weather (well until today, it's turning COLD) and when I think of fall one of the first things I think of is how beautiful the leaves are when they are changing colors. It's funny how now that I've gotten older I take the time to see the real beauty around me! Another thing I think about this time of year is the holidays. Thanksgiving is a special holiday for me. I love the family getting together and having our traditional Thanksgiving meal. We have tickets this year to go to the Alabama/Auburn game (day after Thanksgiving) and we are excited about that! Roll Tide Roll!! Well, I guess it's time that I turn in, busy day tomorrow! Be sure to head over to Lindsay's blog and pick up her freebie for this week and also check out my other design team members blogs. You won't regret it! They all are amazing! Thanks for looking!
