Hip Hip Hooray!

Hello everyone! I hope ya'll are enjoying your Saturday! It's raining here today. We had plans of getting up early this morning and going to yard sales but instead we got to sleep in! We really need the rain so I don't need to complain but just a little disappointed, this was the day for a annual yard sale that goes for miles! I wanted to share with you a card that my mom asked me to do. My mom's Sunday school class each has a teen that they are paired with to pray for. The person she has is in college and had some really hard tests to take this past week. She from what I understand did really well so mother wanted to give her a card to let her know how proud she was. I didn't have alot of time so I had to make it simple but I still wanted it to be cute. I used my Cricut Create a Critter (all those little critters are so cute!!!) I love this cartridge the layering is sooo simple which helps saves time. I added Hip Hip to the front and in the inside Hip Hip Hooray! I used chalk for the sky and ink for the grass. Thanks for looking and I hope you have a wonderful safe weekend!

I'm playing along in these challenges:

365 Cards - Keep It Simple
Caardvarks - Clean & Simple
Flourishes - celebrate

Happy Fall Ya'll Anything Goes Challenge

Hello everyone! It's my turn over on the Stamping Scrapping Challenge Central Blog to share my anything goes project. I did some recycling on this project! The cardboard I used is from a pizza that we ordered. I did some inking, tearing, painting, some more inking, tearing etc. etc. etc.! I did just about everything I could think to it other than stomp on it and I probably would have tried that if I thought it would get it more personality hee hee! For the flowers, leaves, pumpkin, gourd, and title I used my slice machine. I used the Slice design card Noteworthy and Back to School. It's been a while since I've used my slice and thought it could use some lovin! I have to say I had a blast making all these flowers! I used some stickles on the leaves, pumpkin, and gourd.  I also sprayed glimmer mist all over but that's hard to tell in this picture. No project is completely done unless it's got stickles or at least that's my opinion! I love sparkle!! I used my crop a dile to punch two holes up at the top and ran some twine so it can be hung up. We would love for you to join in on the challenge but you better hurry you time is running out! Thanks for looking and I hope ya'll have a great weekend! My hubby started his vacation today and we hope to take us a little trip if things work out like we want. So if I'm not around much over the next week I'm enjoying time with him!

I'm entering this into the following challenges:

Christmas Mini Album Cover Plus A Sale!!

Hey everyone! I'm back with my second post today! I've started a mini album! I have a few pages done inside but till it's completely done I'm only going to share the cover. Lindsay has came out with two new sets this week Natures Christmas and Many Blessings! I was so excited when I seen Natures Christmas! I've been wanting to do a Christmas album and it gave me the inspiration I needed to get one started!! The cardinals are so pretty in her sets I immediately printed one up and got started coloring!! I used my prisma pencils to color this time. I haven't used them in awhile and I thought I might have better luck with them over my copics (don't ask me why wierd huh?) After I got it colored I used some Tim Holtz vintage photo distressing ink to give it a vintage feel. I've also done some heat embossing with a flourish stamp that I've had for a while. I used the gold embossing powder from stampin up. It's hard to tell in the picture but I've stamped it twice and then I added some clear dew drops (made me think of berries just not red lol) I made the poinsetta with my cricut cartridge, Joys of the season. I cut the poinsetta out in three different colors and three different sizes then added some gold stickles. I also added a little yellow flower brad for the center. I used a metal label holder and added the rub on word moment. The word beautiful up above that is also a rub on. I've tied my ribbon on but I haven't trimmed it yet. I think I'm going to do that when the album is complete.  Well, that's it! That's my album cover! I can't wait to get it all complete! I'm slow, Christmas may be already over by the time I'm thru! I love mini albums and wished I would do more of them but for some reason they stress me out!! With this one I'm just going to take my time and have fun! Before I go I also want to share Lindsay's fall sale. It's a one day sale only running midnight to midnight mst Thursday only! It's just in time to get her new stamp sets and ones that you may have had your eyes on for awhile!! Be sure to also visit Lindsay's and the rest of the design team members blogs to see what goodies they have for you this week! Their links are on my side bar! A card & sad farewells...

Hey ya'll!! As my card reads: I hope your day is filled with sunshine & sunflowers! I haven't seen any sunflowers around but as far as sunshine we have PLENTY of that!! We are still in the high 90's and October is just around the corner! I'm not complaining I love fall (if we have one lol) but winter is what I'm dreading! I'm not into cold weather at all!!!

This post will be a sad one for me. I have decided to step down from the design team at Deedee's Digis. Before you get any bad thoughts in your mind no I was not fired (hee hee) and no I'm not into with anyone! I simply stepped down to spend more time with my family. Deedee and all the wonderful ladies on the design team have truly been a blessing in my life. I've made some wonderful friends thru this group of ladies and hope to always be able to keep in touch with them all! I would like to say to Deedee thank you for picking me to be on your design team and I wish you all the luck in the world! Your a wonderful and sweet person and have always been so good to me! Thanks ladies for all the prayers and encouragement you have given me! I love ya all!

Now just because I've stepped down doesn't mean that I'm going to stop promoting for Deedee's Digis! I'm still going to be using her digi's as much as I can and I will always link to her when I make anything using her stamps. I love her stamps and I want to help spread her name around as much as I can!  So now that I've got all that off my chest let me share my last card as a official design team member sniff, sniff. My mom needed a card for her secret pal at church and this is what I came up with! Shhh I know who her secret pal is and I thought just using this sentiment would work great! The sentiment is from Deedee's Sunshine & Sunflower set. I just love this set and I'm not sure if you remember I used the scare crow stamp on another card a few post back. It's just a great fall set and lots of fun to work with! I used my cricut for the wheat and the sunflowers. Oops! I totally forgot to write down which cartridge I used for the sunflowers arrrr!! The wheat is from My World. I was so excited to win this cartridge on ebay a few weeks back for $8.00 and free shipping!! I've been wanting this one just for the wheat cut so I thought I got a great deal! Anyhow, that's it for me! I hope you have enjoyed my cards using Deedee's Digis! This will be my last official post as a design team member but not my last using Deedee's stamps!! Be sure to visit me also tomorrow on the Craft Blog! Oh and before I forgot she is having a mini design team call so if your interested click here for more details!! Thanks for looking!!

Stamping Scrapping Blog Hop!!!

Hello everyone! It's my turn on the Stamping Scrapping Designs nestibility compatible stamps blog hop! Cindy (the owner of StampingScrapping.com) has designed some wonderful new stamp sets that work great with the nestibilities. One lucky person will be able to win these stamps at the end of the blog hop! All you have to do is leave a comment on each design team members blogs for a chance to win! Ahem, if you get a minute and you would like to browse around my blog and you like what you see I would love for you to follow but that is not a requirement hee hee! For my card I used some stamps from the Holiday collection. These stamps are clear stamps that are compatible with label 10, label 14, and label 15 nestibilities. My card measures 3 X 3 and since I don't own the labels I mentioned I used the circles nestibilites to cut the Boo sentiment out. So see they work great with these also!! I also used the ghost and glued him under the sentiment. I just thought he looked cute like he was floating there!! The spider is from last years Halloween treat bags that we passed out and had some extra. I'm not sure about the paper it was some scraps that I had left over from another project. If you would like to order this set of stamps Cindy is taking pre orders now and you can do so by clicking here. Don't forget to leave a comment and you might just be the lucky winner!! Thanks for looking!

Bildmalarna challenge - bookmark

Hello and happy Friday!! Yay!! The weekend is offically about to begin!! We are going out to eat for a friend's birthday tonight and actually wished it was getting closer to time to go I'm hungry!! We are going to a Mexican resturant that we have not tried yet yum!! It's also raining out and hopefully that will be gone when its time to go! Kyle is suppose to race tomorrow night but they are giving a bigger chance of rain for tomorrow so I'm thinking that it may get canceled. Shhh don't tell him but it sure wouldn't hurt my feelings if it did!! I'm always a nervous wreck when he races and the last two wrecks he had sure didn't help!!

This is actually my second attempt at trying to make this post. I'm trying something new. I've had Picasa downloaded on my computer for awhile but haven't actually ever really used it till now. I usually do all my photo editing in a program I've had on my computer for ages called MicroSoft picture It (that's how I did the photo above) but the last few times I've tried to post a picture this size it keeps making it sideways. So frustrating!! It's not the size its the way I took my picture or the way I turned my camera to get the whole bookmark. Anyway, I'm going to try going thru Picasa so if you see this picture and it's turned right it worked!! If not I have no clue what to do and need help!!

Our challenge on the Bildmalarna Blog is to make a bookmark. I've never made one before so this is my first attempt!! I didn't know what size to do so I winged it and went with a 3 x 6! I used K & Company, Life Journey's for my paper and some kraft cardstock. For my main focal point I used Mimosa with roses and cut out with my oval nestibilities. The flowers are made using the bloom lite cricut cartridge. The yarn or frilly stuff is from my stash and was given to me by a friend. I was going for a vintage feel so I've inked everything using Tim Holtz vintage photo distress ink. I love reading Christian fiction books. Anything to do with Amish, or out West is just right up my alley!! Mimo fits the bill with his overalls and his hat!! He's also got roses (what gal can refuse roses huh??)

We would love for you to come play along! There is still plenty of time to get your entry in! My post is not scheduled till the 13th and the luck I've been having trying to get this post ready it may just take me to then to get it done!! Well, I hope you liked my first attempt at a bookmark and I'm so glad you have stopped by. Have a wonderful weekend!!

I'm entering this into the following challenges:

Crazy 4 Challenges - create anything book related

LSS Day - God knits hearts...

Hello peeps! How's everything going in your neck of the woods? Things here are going good (knock on wood hee hee)! Nothing exciting to share at the moment but I guess that's a good thing. That means things are pretty calm! Today I'd like to share with you my card for Lindsay's Stamp Stuff. This week I've used Lindsay's Crafty Tools & Puns stamp set. I love digital stamps they are just so fun to work with! I love being able to combine and arrange them any way that I want! That's what I did with this weeks card. I took two of the images and combined them and added a sentiment. I can't take credit for coming up with this sentiment it came from Sandy, a dear sweet friend from one of my design teams. I hope she doesn't mind me "borrowing" it but it goes perfect with this stamp!! The hearts are from a Martha Stewart punch. The border punch is also by Martha Stewart (I just love her punches and wished I owned them all lol!) The button is from my stash and I actually sewed it on!! Be sure to visit Lindsay and the other design team members to see what they have made this week using Lindsay's digi's! Their links are on my sidebar. Thanks for looking!!

I'm entering my card into the following challenges:

Let It snow, let it snow!!

Happy Labor Day!! I hope everyone has enjoyed their long holiday weekend! I know we have here and wished that it didn't go by so fast! Now it probably seems a little strange posting a snowman card in 90 degree weather but I felt we could all use some cooling off hee hee! Before I go into any details let me first start off by saying sorry for the picture. I've been having problems for a while with getting the lighting right. I've got some light strips (not sure really what they are called) that hangs over my work desk that my hubby came up with and it's got a bulb that needs to be replaced along with one that keeps blowing in my ceiling fan! So the lighting in this room is not good anyway and that sure doesn't help! It sure doesn't do this image justice! It looks so much better in real life! I fell in love with this cute snowman from Deedee's Digi's just as soon as she released him and actually I've had him colored up for a couple of weeks but just now having the time to make him into a card! I started off by coloring him with my copics and then adding some stickles to the snow on the trees, the heart on his hat, and some to the ground. I then had a brainstorm that this would be cute in a snow globe so I cut a snowglobe from Joys Of the Season cricut cartridge and placed him in there. I then added glossy accents to the whole globe to give it the glass look. I have a wooden stamp of a snowflake that I then stamped over the glossy accents. I just love this sentiment of Deedee's it just cracks me up! I remember when Kyle was little and they would be predicting snow for the next day. He would be basically chanting this up till bedtime! Here when it snows schools are out and everything shuts down! Anyway, it just brings back memories!! This stamp set is one that you really need to add to your digi collection!! It's just sooo adorable and will make great Christmas cards so why not visit Deedee's Digi's today and pick it up!! Christmas will be here before we know it!! Again, I really wished my picture was better so you could tell how well it colored up hopefully I'll be able to get it fixed soon!! Thanks for looking!

Playing with my cricut!

Hey ya'll! How's the weekend going? I'm having a great one and woo hoo it's not over yet!! I spent the morning with my brother going to yard sales. I wished I could report that I found some awesome find but I'd be lying if I did! It didn't matter I just really enjoyed the time I spent with my big brother something we don't get to do often enough. My hubby has been piled up on the couch most of the day watching football (I'm sooo not into football) and matter of fact as I type this he's still in the same spot just watching a different game hee hee! Kyle's hanging out with his buddies so I thought I'd sneek in my play room and play with my cricut. I used my Gyspy to make this fall card. The owl is from the cricut cartridge create a critter and to be honest I have no clue where the fall came from! I hit search on my Gyspy just to see what came up and spotted this and never paid attention to what cartridge it was from! If you really would like to know email me and I'll do the search again! I guess your wondering why not do it now but you see I left my Gypsy in the living room and just to lazy to go get it right now hee hee (at least I'm honest lol) I hope everyone has a wonderful and safe holiday weekend!! Thanks for looking!

Anything but a card challenge - organizer

There's a new challenge over at Stamping Scrapping Challenge Central going on. It's to make anything but a card. I need to start off by saying this challenge was out of my comfort zone!! I've been making cards so long that I had to really kick my brain in over drive to come up with something!! I then remembered a cool organizer from My Timeless templates by Lauren Meader that I had saved. I'll try to come back and post the link unfortunately I didn't save that :(  I used one of the new fall Bildmalarna stamps, Mimosa with fruit basket as my image and colored her with my copics. I just love this stamp! I used some kraft cardstock to make the organizer and GCD Studio Paris nights design paper to decorate with. The flower with the crystals is a prima flower and the cream one with the button is from my stash (so is the button). The leaf punch is a Martha Stewart punch. I haven't decided yet what I'm going to put in this but I'm sure it's going to come in real handy!! Well, I hope you like my project for the anything but a card challenge. You need to go check out our blog for the other design team members projects. They've done such a excellent job! You know Christmas is also just around the corner and I'm needing some gift ideas to get started on! So come on over and play along, you could win a really cool prize!! Oh before I go, have you checked out Cindy and Kevins' store, StampingScrapping.com?? Wow, there's so many new items getting added that my wishlist is growing by the minute!!
