Lindsay's Stamp Stuff - Wishing You A Sweet Summer!

Good day peeps!! Hope your having a wonderful day! We have started a diet at our house last week and let me tell you I know I haven't lost alot this soon BUT the way I feel is if a little gust of wind was to blow I'd be gone! I hate dieting lol! So, for Lindsay's Stamp Stuff card today I decided to use one of her newest sets Watermelon and Strawberry. I have loved watermelons every since I was little and summer would just not be the same without having them at cook outs with family and friends! For this card I used 3 of the water melon images. I was able to do this by using my photo application. I colored the images with my copics and then doodled little lines around each one. I used my cuttlebug for the embossing and the flowers and brads are from my stash. The PP is by The Paper Sudio and the sentiment is computer generated. Don't foget to head over to Lindsay's blog and grab your freebie this week and also be sure to check out all the other design team members blogs! Thanks for looking!

I'm entering this card into the following challenges:
The Crafty Pad - embossing

Bildmalarna Challenge 12 - Red, White, Blue

Hey ya'll! Hope your having a great week! Can you believe July is almost here! Wow, the summer is flying by! I know probably lots of you are getting ready for the upcoming weekend. It's always one of my favorite holidays of the year. We haven't got our game plan on yet and need to be making some final decisions! We've been asked to several different places (pretty much all at the same time) so we got to decide soon!! Whatever your plans are please just be safe and have fun! Our challenge this time at the Bildmalarna Blog was to create something using red, white, and blue.  I've used this sweet stamp of Mimosa as my image and colored her with my copics. I also added some stickles to the center of the flowers but not sure if that shows up. I used my cricut and the Heritage cartridge to cut the frame. I added some faux stitching and a clear skittle just to dress it up a little. The flowers are from a Hot Off The press template that I used to cut and fold and added buttons for the centers. The little branches are from a Martha Stewart punch. The red poka dotted paper is by My Minds Eye and the stipe paper is by Bo Bunny. The three red skittles were clear I just used my copics to color them red. I hope you have enjoyed my card and we would love for you to play along to! C-ya!

Don't own any Bildmalarna stamps?? I can hook you up just click here!

I'm entering this card into the following challenges:

What I was up to this weekend!!

Sorry, don't have any cards to share today (well, I do just can't share them yet!) So, I thought I would share a picture of my son Kyle!! This makes his second race! He came in 2nd last night and last weekend he came in 3rd!! Pretty good considering he hasn't had his 4-wheeler around a month! We was really proud of him (scared to death but proud at the same time!)

Lindsay's Stamp Stuff - Stick People

Wow, if that title didn't get you here I don't know what will hee hee!! I really struggle sometimes how to title my posts or how to start my post. This was probably not my better ones! But I'm glad you came by and really hope you enjoy the card I have to share with you today! This new set, People Mix and Match is absolutely adorable!! I love it! It comes in JPG, PNG, and SVG all for $5.00! I made this card thinking what a great Grandparents day card it would make. I'll probably wind up putting the sentiment inside. I followed this weeks MoJo Monday sketch and really loved how it turned out! I used a scrap piece of paper by American Crafts. I added some skittles which I colored with my copics and I also added two prima flowers layered and a button for the center. If you get a chance head over to Lindsay's MyGrafico shop she has been adding some super duper adorable stamps and don't forget to check her blog out for a freebie!

I'm also going to enter this card into the following challenges:

Deedee's digis is a new online store and I will be on her first ever design team! She has some fanastic stamps that also come with sentiments and are absolutely adorable! I've got to chat with her and the other DT members for the last few weeks and I'm telling you I feel truly blessed to be on this team! They are all  amazing women and I can see friendships blooming everywhere!! I would love for you to visit Deedee's digi store and see just how cute these stamps are! Deedee I hope I do you proud and that the Lord blesses you and your family on this new adventure!

The next design team that I'm going to have the honor of working with is Scrapmasters Paradise. This will also be Samantha's first design team that she has put together and I'm totally excited to be included! She is a Stampin Up representative that is stepping up and trying to expand her business by selling scrapbooking and card kits. I love Stampin Up so this is going to be right down my alley!!! Each month we will be showing examples of the kits that she offers. I look forward to getting to know Samantha and the other designers! Samantha,  I also wish you luck with this new adventure and that all your dreams and ideas can become a reality!!

So, it looks like I am going to be a busy little bee! But I'm super excited and can't wait! So stay tuned July is when we get started and I'm sure we are going to have some really cool things lined up for you on both design teams!! Thanks again Deedee and Samantha for picking me and to all my followers for staying with me!! Have a great weekend! Hugs!!!

Lindsay's Stamp Stuff - Life's Not About...

Hello peeps! Today I have a card to share with you for Lindsay's Stamp Stuff. This week I used the stamp set Girl Things. As soon as I saw this chicken I new I had to use this saying (which I made on my computer). The saying also reminds me of my dear friend Sandy (Hey Sandy!) she use to use this a while back! I colored the chicken with my copics and added some stickles to her top and crown. I'm back to trying to use up my scraps so I'm not sure who the paper is by. I also cut some music notes from my cricut and added skittles. The flowers are prima flowers with a big light pink gem stone for the center and finally the polka dot ribbon is from my ribbon stash but I'm pretty sure I picked this up at Wal-Mart. Oh! before I foget I also have some exciting news that I recently discovered! We are getting a JoAnn's!!!! I am beyond thrilled! I've only been to one once and even thou I still love the Hobby Lobby we have it's so nice to have somewhere else that I can shop (well, as soon as I get some money to shop!) Ok, let's get back on topic! This card actually came together pretty quick and no hair pulling was needed (that's always a plus!) Now don't forget to head over to Lindsay's blog on Thursday she has released a new set and has also got a freebie to go with it! Welcome to Wedding Wednesday!

Hey ya'll! Welcome to Wedding Wednesdays! For the month of June the Design Team and I will be showing projects using the new wedding stamps from Bildmalarana. It's my Wednesday and here is what I have came up with. I tried something new by making this folded frame. I found a great tutorial over on Split Coast stampers and it's actually really easy to make! You can't probably tell by my photo but this is also the first time I've ever used acetate on my cards. I used a old package that one of my cricut cartridges came in and cut to fit over my image. I did cut down the stamp so that it would fit inside the frame so for a complete look at what the stamp looks like be sure to click here. My paper is by K & Company Life's Journey. The sentiment is also a Bildmalarna stamp and I cut the wedding bands from the sweethearts cricut cartridge. I added a clear heart gem to represent the diamond. I also used a flower and a clear gem brad for the center. I used my swiss dots folder to emboss the cardstock behind the stamp. I hope you have enjoyed my card using the new wedding stamps and if you are interested in purchasing they are marked down for the month of June! Thanks for looking! Be sure to head over to the Bildmalarna Blog for more inspiration from Stephanie and Dawn!

Bildmalarna Challenge Eleven - Just For you!

Hello and happy Friday!! I hope that everyone has had a wonderful week and I know like me, many are really ready for the weekend!! I don't work outside the home but I always look forward to hubby being off and being able to spend time with him! Never know what's going to happen around here especially when you have a teenage son! My son had some of his buddies over last night (6 came over 3 actually stayed all night) and somehow they managed to convince me to cook pancakes, biscuits and chocolate gravy at 2:30 in morning! They were having a fit to leave to go to Waffle House and since that wouldn't happening they resorted to my cooking! I had to sleep half the day today just to recover! It's my turn to issue the challenge at Bildmalarna Blog this time and with the help of my partner in crime, Sheri the above sketch is challenge eleven! For my card, I used two stamps from the stamp club. The snail and the Just For You postage stamp. I just love this snail I think he's so cute! I colored with my copics. I used my stampin up punches for scallop and round circle and then pop dotted the sentiment to it. The flower with the ribbon is a brad that came in a pack with buttons, gems, and a few more of these that I got at Hobby Lobby awhile back. The paper is by Basic Gray June Bug Collection (the paper I've been hoarding forever hee hee) It's like when you break a $100 bill it's gone before you know it and you really start to miss it!! I used a Ek Sucess punch and added some clear skittles underneath. I also did a lot of faux stitching around the edges and to the black cardstock strip to make it look like ribbon. Thanks for looking and I would love for you to come play along! If you don't have any Bildmalarna stamps be sure to click here for all your Bildmalarna needs!!

I'm entering this card into the following challenges:
Aimee's Challenge Blog - something for a girl

All the comments, prayers, encouragement truly mean the world to me! There's not a day that goes by that someone always makes me smile (and there is day's that's the only thing that does) So, thank you! Ok, I guess that's enough mushie stuff for today (I'll be bawling if I don't watch out hee hee) This week for Lindsay's Stamp And Stuff I tried something different! I used a image from the Old Paper Stamp set and turned it into a flower!  I printed the image 5 times at different sizes and used pop dots in between some of the layers. I colored with my copics and added some stickles to the center on the smallest one. I also used my nesties to cut the scallop and plain oval and stamped Happy Birthday. The Happy Birthday is by Autumn Leaves that I won from Pinky at Much Ado About Nothing (thanks, Pinky!) The leaves are cut from A Childs Year and Stretch Your imagination. I also added some clear skittles ( I could add a zillion of these to my cards and still never use them up before I die lol) The paper is by My Mind's Eye. At least if Kyle is married (especially to a good christan girl) I know that he is settled down and hopefully has his life on the right track. Scrappy Frogs Challenge Blog - Summer Fun Challenge

Hello everyone! Hope your week has been going great! We purchased Kyle a 4-wheeler today off of Craigs list. He's been begging for one FOREVER and we finally came across a really good deal. My hubbys sister and her husband own a MotorCross track and Kyle is wanting to get into racing (yikes!!) But after you hear what I'm fixing to tell next he may change his mind! We go pick it up a little after lunch and head home. As soon as we get it unloaded Kyle wants to try it out (naturally) He's never rode one that you have to kick start so it takes him a little while to get the hang of it. Well, he finally gets the hang of that and now has to figure out how to change gears. It kept going dead on him when he would slow down to turn around. Well, he gets down to the end of the road and sure enough it goes dead on him again but this time when he kicks it to restart, it kicked back and hit his ankle and I'm pretty sure it's broke!  Just feel sooo sorry for him. He was so excited and now this has happened! Tried to get him to go ahead and let us take him to the emergency room since the doctors office was closed but he want's to wait till in the morning when our doctor gets back in. It may be a longggg night...Anyhoo, just thought I share a tidbit of what went on here today! On to my card for Scrappy Frogs Challenge Blog! Our challenge this time is a Summer Fun Challenge. Create anything card, layout, or home decor project so long it's in the Summer theme and something that's fun to do in the Summer! Ok, I know this post is getting a little long I hope you bare with me (I'm long winded tonight hee hee) I've been dreaming of going to the beach and since it looks like that's not going to happen anytime soon I thought I would try to go with some type of beach theme! I used Life's A Beach cricut cartridge for the sand bucket, scoop, beach chair, sea gulls, and crab. I hand cut some card stock for the sand and added stickles. I also decided to use Tossa from the Summer Bildmalarna Stamp club. She was surrounded by flowers which I cut off and since one of her arms was missing I cut a ice cream cone from Stretch Your Imagination cartridge and added her a hand! The stamp is a Studio G stamp. I forgot to mention that I added glossy accents to the beach chair, sand bucket, and scoop (not sure if that shows up in my picture) I'm not sure if this is one of my most favorite cards but it was fun to make! Be sure to head over to Scrappy Frogs and play along with us! We would love to have you! Also, be sure to check out what the other DT members came up with for their Summer Fun!! As always thanks for looking and stopping by my blog your comments brighten my day!!
