Lindsays Stamp Stuff Thursday

Hey ya'll!! Hope everyone is doing great in your corner of the world! Things are still crazy as ever here!! I don't think there is ever a dull moment when you have a teenager or at least with mine it's not!! Here is my project this week for Lindsay Stamp Stuff. I can't believe April is almost over and Mother's Day is just right around the corner! I made this for my mom using the Iris and Bud image from Lindsay's stamps and colored with my copics. I used Tags, Bags, Boxs & More to make my bag. I used my oval nesties and a punch for the border. I also added some lace and pearls to fancy it up a bit! Paper is by My Mind's Eye. Now I've just got to get the gift to go in it!!! Don't forget to head over to Lindsay's Blog tomorrow she will have a freebie and also check out the other DT member's projects this week! Thanks for looking and also for dropping by! Your comments mean the world to me and always brighten my day!! Hugs!!

Scrappy Frogs Challenge Blog - Happy Birthday Card!

Hey ya'll!!! How is everyone's weekend so far? The weather is HORRIBLE here and we are under a tornado watch until midnight tonight yikes!! The weather men are really predicting today that it could be a tornado outbreak and the way it looks and "feels" outside I can believe it. It just feels creepy! Anway, on to my card! I'm going to start off by saying this is a totally scraplifted, stolen, hijacked (well you get the picture hee hee) card!! I'm still in the monthly template club at Paper Wishes and this is just one of the examples that came in this months package. For some reason I just love templates! I've got a whole 3 ring binder full! I think I probably collect them more than I actually use em but for some reason I haven't been able to make myself cancel out! Sometimes I find it relaxing to pull one out and actually hand cut (I know I'm weird lol) For anyone that is interested in templates visit here for more info and if you do decide to join a monthly club I sure would appreciate you saying I sent you! This months template was really cute! It has a ice cream cone, cupcake, and a mug that can be used for hot chocolate or a sundae. Each one has a pocket tag (I used just the tag for my card) which is really cute! They also supply you with paper, brads (if project call for them). It really is a neat little club and its only $9.99 (thats with shipping) and for the paper you receive it's well worth it!! Ok, sorry to drag that out on to my card again! I made this for Scrappy Frogs Challenge Blog. Our challenge was to use glossy accents on our projects. Shamefully, I didn't come up with anything earth shattering (but I never do anyway hee hee) I added glossy accents to my cherry (which was already cut out of shiny red paper that they included, had to confess that to!) This past week has been wild around here and my crafting time has suffered lol!! But even thou it was quick, simple, and stolen it still turned out to be a cute card! Oh forgot to say I did add the faux stitching which looks a little wobbly on the bottom roll and the sentiment is a studio G! Be sure to check out the other DT's projects and join us in the challenge! Hugs!!

My 1st stair Step card!

Remember the sneaky peek I gave the other day? Well, here it is!!! My very first stair step card! Our challenge over at Bildmalarna Challenge Blog was to make a shape card. This was a hard challenge for me at first! I have plenty of carts along with DS and the Gyspy but when it comes to making a card out of shapes for some reason I freak out! So, I searched and I searched and ran across this stair step card over on Splitcoast Stampers (love that site sooo many ideas!!) I used Mimo with Roses isn't he cute! He is one of my favorites! I used several cricut cartridges. The grass at the very front was cut from Zooballoo. The sentiment is a Studio G and I used my nesties for the scallop and regular oval. The ribbon is some from my big wad of tangled up mess of a stash (no joke it's awful!!!) The next row back I used Heritage for my white picket fence and Straight From The Nest for the grass with flowers (which have little rhinestones added for the center). I used popped dots to raise Mimo away from the fence. The last row you can barely see but for the green schrubs I used Everyday Paper Dolls. I used Straight From the Nest to cut the tree and the clouds are from Paper Pups. I really had fun making this! I haven't been able to play with my cricut in awhile and I was really starting to miss it!! Ok, now I've showed you my shape card and now it's your turn!! Head over to the Bildmalarna Challenge Blog and show us what you come up with!! But don't forget you have to also use a Bildmalarna Stamp! Haven't gotten any? Head over to Bildmalarna.com and order you some today! The new ones are coming out and they are oh so adorable!!!! Thanks for looking and have a great day! Hugs!!!

I'm also trying to enter more challenges so here is a list that I'm entering my card into!

Sneeky peek!!

Hello to all my crafty friends tonight!!  I hope everyone has enjoyed their Saturday! Me and my hubby got up really early this morning and went to some yard sales!! I wished I could say that I found many great treasures but we didn't have much luck! I did find a brand new billfold for $3.00 (woo hoo) and snatched that up it still had the tags on it! After we got home my hubby and son left to go to the dirt bike races so I was able to get a few hours to play! I thought I might give you a sneek peek of a card I finished for the challenge going on now over at the Bildmalarna Blog. It's not time for mine to be posted yet but I'll give you a little peek hee hee! I hope by now some of you have ordered some of these stamps and it would be great if you could come play along in the challenges! Well, here's my sneek peek I hope you will like it! Have a great weekend and many hugs to you!!

Prairie Fairy DT Call

Prairie Fairy is having a DT call and I thought I would give it a shot! This is the image she posted as a freebie and everyone to use on the project they submit. I colored her with my copics and then added some stickles (all fairies have sparkle don't they hee hee) I then cut a branch with my cricut using Wild Card. I used a Studio G stamp and my nesties for the sentiment. I also used my cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder for the embossing. I kinda let time slip up on me and today is the last day to submit so I really had to get crackin! If I would have had more time I kinda wished I would have used one of my carts. to cut a white picket fence and let her sit on it with the branch hanging over but I'm going with this for now so wish me luck!!! If your interested in entering visit Prairie Fairy for all the info!

I'm also entering this card at Incy Wincy Design Challenge 38 Something Magical and

She is also having a 50% sale these three days at her My Grafico shop so nows a great time to stock up and also get some great ideas and inspiration on using her stamps! Here are my projects that I wanted to share with you using her Sweet Stuff digi stamp set. This is such a great set and can be used for sooo many occasions. Who doesn't like cupcakes, ice cream, and sundaes!! They make great birthday cards and just cards to let someone know they are special to you. Here is my first card using a cupcake from the set.

For this card I decided to do a little recycling and not use any pattern paper. The off white paper that is behind the image with the lines actually came from a bag of cookies (the divider). I sewed (GASP, I actually used my sewing machine hee hee) two lines one at the top and one at the bottom. I didn't sew onto my cardstock since I knew I wanted to add some ribbon (which by the way I found a whole brand new roll of this at a yardsale over the weekend for a whole whopping .25!) After I attached the ribbon I then glued it to my taupe cardstock. I used a E K Success punch for the red card stock and attached right beneath. For my image I used the cupcake with a strawberry from the Sweet Stuff set and colored with my copics. I added baby pink stickles to the icing. Once I had it colored I cut the image out and placed it upon a square that I cut with my nestibilites and embossed with my cuttlebug. I also used the nestie to cut the scallop square that is behind it. I then remembered that Lindsay had another image that had strawberries and I love being able to combine stamps I went to her Pretty Primitive stamp set and printed the strawberry jam stamp and just used the strawberries. I colored these also with my copics and then I hand cut and arranged them around my cupcake. Lastly, I added a studio G Happy Birthday stamp directly onto the cardstock.

For my last card I used the ice cream sundae that is also included in the Sweet Stuff set. I colored the image with my copics and then added glossy accents to make it look more like glass (not sure if this shows up) The paper is by My Minds Eye. The sentiment is a Studio G. I also added three skittles to the lower right hand side. This card was super quick and easy and sometimes thats what I need when I'm in a rush! Well, that's my projects for today! I'm sooo glad you hopped in and now it's time to hop to

But before you leave I have a surprise!!! Lindsay's letting me give away the Sweet Stuff set!! Yipee!!

LSS Thursday - Splish Splash Layout!

Hello!! I'm back with another post (very rare I do two in one day hee hee). This week for LSS I decided instead of doing a card I would do a layout! It's been such a long time since I've done one I almost forgot how! I used Lindsays new set Puddle Fun and aren't those little waterdrops and clouds just the cutest! I printed these out on a piece of Georgia Pacific paper and colored with my copics. I used the Straight From The Nest cricut cartridge to cut the shape that the picture is on. I also used the Everyday Paper Dolls and Graphically Speaking for the diecut I used to journal on and the words Splish Splash. For my photo this is actually one picture but printed twice. I cropped and enlarged since in the original you could hardly see Kyle but I couldn't bear not to add the little tikes truck which was one of his all time favorite toys!! He was actually washing his truck at my moms in this photo! I just love this picture of him! I think he looks sooo sweet! This was a real simple and quick layout but I hope you like it! Don't forget about our blog hop going on next week you can find all the info here.  Also, if you haven't already checked out the competition I'm in (here) I would appreicate your vote (only if you like my card!) Lindsay has plenty lined up next week and I'm racking my brain to come up with stuff for my blog so be sure to come join in all the fun! Click here to head to Lindsay's blog to see what she and the other design team members have created this week! Thanks for looking and have a great rest of the week! Hugs!

Your Sweet - Tossa With A Strawberry

Hello everyone! Hope all is well in your neck of the woods! I want to share with you today a card I made using Tossa with a strawberry Bildmalarna Stamp. I started out using this weeks Mojo Monday but I kinda got hung up and decided to leave it like it was and just add a sentiment! I was searching/digging thru my loose pattern paper and ran across this cute strawberry paper that I thought fit perfectly for this image!! I also ran across this green houndstooth (I think that's what you call it hee hee) paper and thought it would go great also! It's amazing what you find when you are forced to use what you have! I colored tossa with my copics. I then cut around the image and mounted on a oval that was cut with my nestibilities. I then mounted that on top of the scallop oval (also cut with my nesties) I did alot of faux stitching! I then stamped the Your Sweet (which is a Studio G stamp) on white cardstock. I then cut and inked and also used my scorpal to make some scor lines then I added a pink flower gem to the side. Thanks for looking and I'll be back later tonight with my LSS project sooo please come back and visit. I really appreciate all the sweet comments and all the support you give me! You mean the world to me!! Hugs!!

Challenge Six Easel Card For Bildmalarna - Hello card!

Happy Monday everyone!! I hope everyone had a blessed Easter and was able to enjoy time with their families and friends. We had a really nice dinner with my parents. The weather this weekend was gorgeous and we stayed out in the sunshine just as much as possible. Hubby and I even went fishing for a little while Saturday evening! I got a few little ones while he snagged the big boys!! I think he sabotaged me some way just haven't figured out how yet!  Yipee!!! Today is my turn to share my card for the challenge over on the Bildmalarna Blog. It was also my turn to pick the challenge and since I think Easel Cards are fun to make that's what I thought I'd make the challenge!  I've had this card made for some time now so I hope I can remember exactly what supplies I used to make it!! The paper is by My Minds Eye (it seems like lately that's all I've been using hee hee) and the image I used is Mimosa on a bench. I stamped Mimosa on white cardstock and colored with my copics. I then used my plain oval nestie to cut her out with and backed her with a  scalloped oval also cut from a nestie. The flower is a prima flower and I used my I-top to make the brad. The ribbon is just some I got from my stash! The bottom part of the Easel card I used my cricut to cut the Hello using the (if I'm remembering right the Wild Card Cart. if this is not right please forgive me!) The leaf is a Martha Stewart punch. I hope that you like my card and we would love to have you come and join the challenge!! Thanks for looking and I hope you have a great week!! Hugs!!

Friendly Design Team Competition!!

Hey everyone! Just wanted to share that there is a friendly little competition going on over on StampingScrappingDesignTeamBlog! All the DT sent in a project and now there is a poll going on for everyone to come by and vote on!
I would love if you had time to come take a peek at all the wonderful projects we created and vote on your favorites as there are three categories:
Most Creative
Best Card
Best Thinking Outside The Box

For my card I used Mimosa on a Fence as my image. I colored with my copic markers. The paper is from A Minds Eye paper stack. The butterfly was cut by my cricut using Straight From the Nest and I added some stickles for sparkle. The thingie (sorry don't know correct name!) that I stamped my sentiment (Studio G) on is a cuttlebug die.

*Update*
Wowzers!! The competition is tuff!!! These ladies have really outdid themselves hee hee (darn them lol) If you haven't had the chance to swing by and take a peep I would love for you to! If you like my card I also would appreciate your vote!! Thanks everyone!!!

Hugs!!!

Happy Easter and A Hello Card!

Hello to all my crafty friends! Are you enjoying your weekend so far? I've been a bit on the lazy side this morning! As soon as I get this posted I've got to get into high gear!! I was able to play a little bit last night in my craft room (it really helps to do something when you have a teenager out on the roads on a Friday night!) I've just completely fell in love with these Bildmalarna Stamps!! I'm really wanting them ALL!! They are so fun to color and since I'm still trying to get the hang of my copics I love to play with these! I'm still having to use paper I already own and this is from A Mind's Eye stack that I got around Christmas. The stamp I used is Mimosa sitting. I made the flower using my cricut and the flower #2 from George. I used my cuttlebug and leaf die to cut the two leaves. The sentiment is from Studio G and the lace is from my stash. This card is for no particular reason or challenge so I'm not going to send you here and there BUT you should really check these stamps out! There's some new ones coming out and a stamp kit (which is a great deal) and they just seem to be getting cuter and cuter!! I ordered the Cinch by Making Memories off of HSN and it shows it should be delivered Monday!!! I'm sooo excited! I'm going to have to start some kind of Mini Album so I can try it out! Well, I won't keep you any longer I hope you enjoy my card and thanks for taking the time to visit my blog!!! Hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend and have a Happy Easter!! Hugs!!

Scrappy Frogs Challenge Blog - Peek-A-Boo!!

Hey ya'll!! Has everyone had a good week? I know the weather here has been wonderful and I hope where ever your at you've enjoyed some sunshine to! I think it's perked me up some! Our challenge this time over at Scrappy Frogs Challenge Blog was "Pick Three". Here is a list of things we could choose from:
diecuts
embossing
no coloring
tearing
sponging
plaid
beads
recycled (use something you have recycled like packaging etc..
use any digi stamp
lace
Here is my card for the challenge and the three items I picked were diecuts (my nestibilities for the square, scallop square), embossing (used swiss dots with my cuttlebug), and a digital stamp (free from one of the coloring pages I came across online a long time ago!), and I also used plaid. I hope ya'll are not getting tired of my paper choices (I think I've solved the mystery of what paper pack this is by. I'm pretty sure it's by My Minds Eye if I'm wrong and someone knows the correct name please let me know!) Hubby is saying noooo more paper buying till I use up some of the paper I've had soooo I started with this stack and trying to use it up as much as I can! The little tag sentiment is a Studio G that I stamped and cut out, added ribbon and pop dotted. I colored my image with my copics. I tried to make my eggs a little speckled looking by leaving some white spots when I was coloring and then I added some stickles (had to have some sparkle hee hee). I added three skittles to the left hand side just to balance it all out! I don't know if it's just me but I have such a hard time coming up with different ideas on arranging my papers. It takes me FOREVER and when I'm thru I'm still looking at it like it needs something but not sure what. I'm not a real big ribbon user (can't tie a bow worth a snot) so if anybody has suggestions I'm all ears!!! Be sure to check out Scrappy Frogs Challenge blog and see what the other DT members have came up with on this challenge. We would love for you to come play along! Thanks for looking and hope you all have a blessed weekend!

P.S. I'm posting this a day early the challenge will not be added to the blog till tomorrow so be sure to check the blog out tomorrow!!!
