New Challenge Blog - Bildy Blog +Card!!

Hello everyone! I have some exciting news! I was honored to be asked to join a new DT!! It's a brand new challenge blog that has been started for the Bildmalarna stamps called Bildy Blog. Cindy at Stampingscrapping.com is the first store in the U.S. to carry these in EZ mount. These are a wonderful collection of stamps that include Mimosa,Mimo, Millie,Tossa,Frolle Frog,Millie Mouse and friends. They are truly adorable stamps and trust me when you see all the cute images you will really want to start collecting them!! Our first challenge on the Bildy Blog was to use the color pink, brown, and turquoise. I used Tossa with a Flower (isn't she a cutie) and colored her with my prisma pencils. The paper I used is My Minds Eye Simply Delightful. I used a template from Hot Off the press to make the flower and leaves. For the scallop & circle I punched both from my Stampin up punches. The sentiment is a studio G stamp. The lace is some from my stash that a friend of mine gave me. Be sure to head over to our new blog and sign up to become a follower! We would love to have you!! I hope you enjoy my card! Hugs!!

LSS Thursday -Purr-fect Pair

Hey ya'll! I don't know if you were on my blog today or not but boy I sure have had it in a mess! I think I have it all fixed now except my signature (keeping fingers crossed after this post it will be working) I guess me and a cute blog is just not going to happen! I'm also trying something else new. I'm posting my picture using Picasa so lets hope all goes well with that. This week Lindsay is sponsoring Tuesday Morning Sketches by Melissa. Click here for this weeks sketch and be sure to play along! Lindsay has this digital cat stamp as her freebie this week so be sure to head over to her blog and grab it! Somewhere down the road and I'm not sure how it happened but I didn't follow the sketch. I started out with every intention but things just didn't work out like I wanted. I'm still not so sure I'm happy with this card period! But I think it's just the mood I'm in! Today has just not been a good day! The paper I used is some I have had in my stash probably since I first got started in scrapbooking. It came from HL but I'm not sure who the maker is. The hearts are cut from my cricut (the red one is covered in stickles). I created the sentiment using my computer. Don't forget to check out the other DT members blogs to see what they have come up with this week and play along with Tuesday Morning Sketches for a chance to win some of Lindsay's wonderful stamps! Thanks for looking!!

Construction Zone Beware!!!

Oops! I've done went and done it now! I've got my blog all messed up and guess what?? It's going to have to stay like this for a little while! I'm having to run out and won't be able to get back on for a little while. So...please excuse the mess hopefully I can get it all straightened out soon!! If anyone would love to help me with a header I sure would appreciate it!! Sure wished I would have waited till I had more time to do this but that's what I get for being impatient!!

LSS Thursday - Love U

Hey! Since everyone has been changing their blog background I thought I would to! This always scares me to death! I'm so scared of losing everything! But luckily it went pretty smooth and this is the finished result. I'm still not sure if I'm 100% satisfied but for now it will do. I made this card using Lindsay's digi set Love Grows Here and the Flourished Chickadee image. I printed the Love Bingo card on pink cardstock and inked the edges with Tim Holtz vintage photo ink. I printed out the Chickadee and colored with my prisma pencils and then cut out just the bird and part of the branch he's perched on. I cut the U from the Winter Woodlands cartridge. I used a friskars punch for the heart border and last I used a prima flower with a blue rhinestone brad for the center. Don't forget Lindsay has a on going sale for every $5 you spend you get a free stamp so be sure to check out her shop! Also, check out what Lindsay and all the other talented DT members have come up with by clicking here! (Note I've posted by post early so theirs will not be available till in the morning) Thanks for looking! Hugs!!

Lindsay's Stamp & Stuff - Sweet Thing

Hey ya'll! Today has been a busy day for me and I'm glad it's coming to a end! I've been doing some major house cleaning! Tomorrow I hope to start reorganizing my closets and cabinets fun, fun! I was able to take some time this evening to make a card for Lindsay's Stamp & Stuff.  Lindsay is having a sale this Thursday & Friday 25% off of everything at her MyGrafico Shop. Hurry the sale only last till midnight Friday (GMT). On this card I used  the cupcake from Lindsay's Love Grows Here set. I just love this set!! I also was blog hopping today and ran across a blog with free svg cutfiles! The name of the blog is Scale-files. He really has some nice cutfiles and he is very generous by offering them to everyone for free! Thank you Paulo! I used his cute nested pop frame and placed the cupcake on one of the layers. I colored the cupcake with my prisma pencils and added some stickles to the cherry heart. The paper is from K & Company and I found this stack some time back at Tuesday Mornings dirt cheap! The sentiment is a studio G stamp. I used the cuttlebug Paisley embossing folder and a ek success punch. I also found a challenge going on to add purple to your card and for me that was a real challenge! I hardly ever use purple. Now I'm going to have to go back and look for it and enter my card!!! As always thanks for looking and have a great Thursday!!

T-Shirt using Walk In My Garden & George + A Surprise!!!

Good morning everyone! Hope everyone's day is going good so far! I just got back from taking my son to school (just think next month he can drive hisself YIKES!!!) This t-shirt is for a upcoming challenge on one of the DT's I am on so I'm posting early with permission!!! I have always wanted to try cutting fabric with my cricut so I took the plunge over the weekend and got all the supplies needed. Which really is not alot of things to purchase just your fabric (I used cotton) and wonder under. The nice lady at HL had to show me the wonder under because this is the first time ever using it. I also bought the little tee (which is size 6 months) at HL. I just love this material! I don't know why I guess I just love the colors hee hee! Anyway, while I was there I had (well at least thought I had) everything planned out what I was going to cut. I was planning on actually cutting the elephant from the Paisley Cart. but once I got home I noticed I would have needed a seperate color for the ears! So, I started going thru my cartridges and ran across this turtle from WIMG. The little hearts are from George. Not only was this a fun project but it was super easy and my cricut cut thru it like a charm! Well, since I don't have any little ones at home or family or friends :( I decided to give this little T-shirt away as some blog candy! (If anybody wants it you may hate it!) Just leave a comment under this post and if your not a follower please sign up to follow me. That's it! I will let this run till after the challenge is posted which is due January 17th but won't be posted till the 18th. As always thanks for looking!! Hugs!

Just Flying By to Say Hi-Cocoa Studio Love Is In The Air

Hello ya'll! Hope everyone's Monday was good! My son's school was delayed this morning till 9:30 so we was able to get a little extra sleep (extra sleep is always a good thing!!). I was asked to test some SVG cutfiles for Cocoa Studio. This adorable fairy is from Love Is In The Air. I used PinkPaislee Eternal Love for my paper. The sentiment "Just flying by to say hi" is from Lindsay's set Winged Things. The grass was cut from the zooballou cricut cartridge. The clouds is a svg that I saved from Amyee's blog A Southernbelle's SVG's (thanks Amyee!)  For her dress, headband, and stockings I used some fabric I got from Hobby Lobby over the weekend (stay tuned for a upcoming project using this fabric got to figure out how I can photograph it!!) I added some little studs I've had for awhile to make her earrings. And last but not least I added stickles to her wings, cheeks, little heart in her hand, and the circles on the pattern paper. Thanks for looking! Hugs!!

My 1st Easel Card!!!

Hey ya'll! Just wanted to share my 1st easel card with ya! I was on the cricut mb today and ran across this style of card. This is probably nothing new to everyone but me!! I also went thru some stamped images I got thru a swap and ran across this Tilda (I believe that's what you call her). I'm not real sure which swap I received it in but to whoever sent it to me THANKS!!! Ok so I had my image I wanted to color but I also wanted her to be able to sit on something and since I got Heritage in the mail this week that chair was screaming her name lol!!! I colored her with my prisma pencils (really wish I could get better at this) I then cut a oval with the George cart. and played around with it on my Gyspy to make this rug (sure hope you can tell that's what its meant to be hee hee) and I added some lace from my stash. The paper I used is from some scraps I had left over from another project. I had a hard time coming up with something neat for the botton so I just stamped a sentiment and added another piece of scrap pattern paper! Still thought it needed something so I added the prima flower and button and called it quits!! Thanks for looking and have a wonderful weekend!! Stay warm...Hugs!

Lindsay's Stamp & Stuff - Smitten

Hey ya'll!! Hope everyone is staying warm! They are predicting snow here tomorrow and have already closed school so I'm able to stay up a little later tonight! I know everyone from the North probably giggles about the South everything stops when it snows here! We don't get alot like other states so when it snows here it turns out to be a big deal!! Saturday morning it is suppose to be 6 degrees! We are def. not use to those temperatures!  This is my first week back with Lindsay's Stamp & Stuff and I'm super excited. I've missed all of her wonderful digi stamps! She is also starting to have SVG files available so if you've not visited her shop lately you really need to head on over and check out all the new things she has added! For this card I have used a image from her new set Love Grows Here. This is such a cute set and it comes with 9 images all for $5. Don't forget for every $5 you spend you get a free stamp! I had so much fun creating this card tonight!I've neglected all my goodies for to long! It was fun going back thru things and getting familiar with everything again! It feels like I have alot of new things to play with again! For the image on this card I printed it twice once on white cardstock and again on patterned paper. I colored the little hearts with my prisma pencils (after knocking the dust off lol) and then added some stickles for some sparkle. I used chalk to give some color to the background then I cut out using my nesties. I used the sketch from this weeks Mojo Monday. The paper is from K & Company. The punch is a EK Success punch and the sentiment is a Studio G. stamp. Be sure to check out all the other DT members blogs to see what they have came up with this week and also Lindsay's blog for some great inspiration! Thanks for stopping by and hanging with me slowly but surely my mojo is coming back!!! Hugs!!

Another prayer answered!!!

Just wanted to do a update on my dad's doctors appt. today! We got great news! He will not have to have surgery. The amurisum (again don't know correct spelling sorry) is not that big and he didn't think it would amount to anything. Just need to keep his blood pressure down and everything should be ok! Told him to have a follow up scan in a year to see if there's any changes. Thanks everyone for the prayers God is soooo GREAT!!!

Merry Christmas & Happy New Years!! Sketchy Thursdays Second Chance Challenge

I'm a little late on wishing you all a Merry Christmas and Happy New Years! But I guess it's better late than never at all huh? I just want to start off by thanking everyone for all the emails and prayers I have received. I love you all very dearly and I am so blessed to have so many online friends. I wish one day I could meet each and every one of you in person.  This post may be a little long since I have so much to update you on! For the ones that know our situation with our son I would like to say thank you for all the prayers God is truly great everything has been dropped and things are going lots better! I still would love for you to continue to pray for him he will be turning 16 in February and will be driving and that is scaring me to death just to think about it! Just pray that God will protect him and keep him safe!! I know that many people have went thru this or are going thru it so you understand my concerns! Oh my the teenage years are soooo difficult!! My dad is still not doing so great. He does have some good days but mostly now it's really hard having a conversation with him. They have found a amurisium (don't know how to spell) in his chest and we are going Monday to the Surgeon to see what they are going to do. Please, please continue to pray for my dad! Mom asked him what his New Years Resolution was and he said just to make it another year and that broke my heart because I want that also. Matter of fact I don't want to ever lose him. We had a wonderful Thanksgiving this year. We usually just have my parents, my brother, me & my husband & son but this year my Aunt (my mom's sister and shhh don't tell probably my favorite Aunt hee hee) and her family joined us. Which made it a pretty big get together! Christmas was good. My hubbies Christmas bonus got cut (wayyyy cut) so we really had to watch our money but it still turned out to be a wonderful Christmas. Christmas is not all about money and presents anyway it's about the birth of Jesus and sometimes it's really bad but we get caught up and forget the true meaning of Christmas. Well, that's caught me up to New Years and there's not alot to tell we went to one of my best friends house. Her daughter got a I-Pod touch for Christmas and we spent all night trying to get it to work!! Which by the way we didn't have any luck! Kyle (my son) got one also and his was a breeze to set up but her's was a nightmare!!! But today my friend called and let me know after talking to Apple half the day today it is now up and going yay!! Oh I forgot to add that my brother got married this past Wednesday and I have a new Sister In Law!!! I'm hoping that me and her really get close and that one day we will seem like sisters instead of sister in laws!! Well, this was just some of the stuff going on in my family. There's been def. some drama with my ex-sister in law but that would take me days to type! I need to sit down and write it all down and sell it to a Soap Opera. I'm sure it would get you hooked after the first episode! Hmmm that's a idea....my favorite Soap As the World Turns will be going off next Sept. maybe they could replace it with our version! Again, I want to say thanks to everyone and I'm so glad no one dropped from following me. I still have alot going on but I am now going to try my best to get back to something I love soooo much! Here is a card I made today. I used the sketch from the Sketchy Thursday Second Chance Challenge as my inspiration. (I love their sketches!) I used Mini Mongrams for the scallop circle and the circle that I ran the ribbon thru. I Heart U is also from that cart. The small hearts are Martha Stewart punches. I stamped the flourishes in staz on black and in red. I added star dust stickles to the hearts and the little dots to add some sparkle. It's been forever since I've created anything and feel like I really need help getting back in to the swing of things! I really hope you like it! Oh I also forgot to add please pray for me also. I have chrons disease and haven't been doing well. I've got to make me a appt. with my Chron's dr (he's about two hours away) but waiting to see what is going to happen with daddy 1st.
Love,
