Shhhh.....Don't tell!!

I'm a few days early on posting this!! Here is my challenge card for SSPT. The challenge this time was to create something using the colors yellow and black. Well, let me tell you I had one heck of a time coming up with something!! I have cut up just about all my black cardstock and there's yellow paper everywhere!! I had done told my husband that I was giving up that this would be the first challenge I just couldn't do (you know he was just as upset as I was NOT!) But I was saved!!! I found this butterfly by Lindsay and knew right away that I wanted to use it! I'm loving her digi stamps! Click here for her website and also just a reminder now thru the end of the month if you spend $10 you get a free card kit! I colored the butterfly with my prisma pencils and then I coated it with mod podge to give it a shine. I added a prima flower and a button from my stash for the center and used floss to tie a bow. The sentiment I'm sure you are all getting pretty tired of hee hee. I have used it on several of my cards! Again, I'm sorry I posted early! I was just so excited that I actually finished it that I wanted to share! I can't wait to see the other DT members take on the challenge so head over to the SSPT blog on the 30th and play along!! Scrappy Frogs Challenge Card

Hello all my blogging buddies! Hope everyone has had a great week! I've had a lazy week. The only thing I have managed this week is to get my house cleaned! Tomorrow the new challenge is posted over at Scrappy Frogs Challenge Blog but I thought I would go ahead and get mine posted tonight. I hate a very dreaded appointment with the dentist tomorrow and not sure what condition I'll be in when he gets thru with me! This challenge we were given the chance to work with Dustin Pikes Digi Stamps! I used my prisma pencils to color with. I also added some stickles to the water just to give a little sparkle. I cut a parrot from Animal Kingdom (also colored with my prisma pencils) and added glossy accents to him. The ribbon I got a yard sale (ok, I will confess I love yardsales!!!) I got a whole bag of this for a quarter! I thought it would look good on here since it reminds of fishing net. I struggled with the sentiment and finally came up with this! Challenge 19 Alphabet theme for WSB DT

Hello everyone! This past week has been a busy, busy week for me! Our yard sale went great! In one of my other posts I had mentioned that me and hubby wouldn't seeing eye to eye on what we did with the money we made. I decided to be nice and give him half. Even tho I was the one that worked my behind off all week I just felt to guilty not giving him any! I think with my half I'm going to get at least one new cart. when I figure out which one I really want the most!! Now on to the challenge! This challenge the DT was asked to do a Alphabet challenge using the letter "S" and our cricut. You would think this would have been a easy challenge but noooooo!! I completely lost my MoJo!! I finally picked a picture then it took me FOREVER to figure out what paper and then once I decided on the paper couldn't think of how to embellish it! But I finished it and this is what I came up with!! Real simple, didn't go all out or anything since I was also pressed on time! Also, I would like to share just a little something about the picture. It's of my son when he broke his arm. It was such a long 6 weeks! But he was a trooper even tho it sure didn't fit into his summer plans! The paper is from the DCWV Grade School Stack (which I've had forever and not used!) The S is a chipboard letter than I won in a rak off the MB and the rest of the word was cut from plantin schoolbook. The word blues is from Opposite Attracts. The bees are actually some 3D stickers I found at the Dollar Store back when I first got into scrapbooking (and before the cricut) The only new thing I tried was with the photo I lighten one side and added my journaling. Like I mentioned earlier nothing to fancy just quick and easy! I feel like I should hang my head in shame since most of my layouts seem to take forever (not that they are fancy either hee hee) and this one took less than 30 minutes! It's Friday!!!

Just wanted to make a quick post letting you know why I haven't posted anything much this week. Me and some of my friends are having a yard sale tomorrow and I've spent most of the week going thru drawers, closets, cabinets, and our garage! I always like how everything is usually pretty organized when I get thru but whew I'll be glad when it's OVER!! I hadn't even begun pricing anything and it looks like I'm running out of time hee hee!! Well, wish me luck! I'm hoping to sell enough to get me some new cartridges!! (Shhh...don't tell the hubby I think he also has plans of his own with the money!!) I have managed to do a few of my DT challenges but can't post them just yet since it's not time!! I hope I can slow down enough sometime this weekend to make my mother and mother in law a birthday card (there bday's are one day apart!) I've made my dad's father's day card (it's in a few posts back) but I haven't got my father in laws done!! So that's 3 cards I need to get done in one evening...wow the pressure is on!!! Hope everyone has a great weekend!!

Paper Wishes Template Club

Isn't this just the cutest thing??? I joined the Paper Wishes template club and this is my first template to receive!! It comes with the template and enough paper to do at least two projects. It also came with the brads. I know alot of people don't like templates but for some strange reason I love them! They do take more time and sometimes are a pain but I always feel like I accomplish something big when I get done!! The strawberry opens up and says Have a "Berry" Good Day and I filled with strawberry creme savers (which at this very minute my son keeps taking out!) SSPT Fruit Challenge

On this challenge we were to make something using fruit. I used last weeks Mojo Monday sketch. The pineapple is off of Paper Doll Dress Up and the pattern paper is from the Animal Cracker stack. The scallop circle and sentiment is both from Stampin Up. There is some details on here that you can't see in the picture. For example I used Brillance Gold Ink on the pineapple. On the green cardstock I used my scorpal and scored lines and inked with the Brillance Gold. I pop dotted the pineapple and crumpled the leaves a bit (trying to go for a more real approach but didn't quite make it hee hee). Scrappy Frogs Challenge Blog - Hi Card

The challenge over on Scrappy Frogs Challenge Blog will be posted today and it will be summer time. Be sure to check out the other DT members projects because they have really out done themselves this time!! The name of the stamp is bunny cruise and I colored with my prisma pencils. I added glossy accents to the glass and the intertube. For the water I hand cut and used my prisma pencils. I also hand cut the sand and added stickles. The sun and the smiley face were both cut from Graphically Speaking. I added stickles to the smiley face and then I used a pop dot to raise them up. The Hi cut was from (if I remember right!) from Wild Card. I did try something new or should I say new to me!! For the background paper I took my scorepal and scored lines and then just went back and sanded to let the white come thru. I could not find any pattern paper in my stash so I gave this a whirl!! I used my Heidi Swap edge distresser for the edges and some on the water. Thanks for looking and let me know what you think!!

ATC Swap

I finally got in the mood to do a few things today! Which feels great! I hate being in a slump!!
I was able to finish up my ATC swap that I'm in and due at the end of June. I've had a really hard time with these for a while. I just couldn't ever get a game plan going so I would shove them to the side! But since the dead line is approaching I knew I just had to sit down and finish them. I think I may have already posted the one with the bobber but forgot when I took the picture. Soo glad these are done! I also got my challenge card done for the Sugar Sweet Paper Treat DT but I've got to check to see if it's to early to post if not I'll come back and do it! I also signed up for a stamp swap. You take 5 stamps and stamp 34 times each! Whew, my arm was giving out on that one so I'm taking a break for today! I'm sure my shoulders will be killing me tomorrow and no telling where else!! So I guess I can say I've had a pretty productive day!! Let me know what you think about my ATC's I hope I don't disappoint anyone that's in the swap with me!!

Challenge 18 Whimsical Scraps & Bugs DT

Hello everyone! I'm sorry I haven't posted anything in a while. I'm still just trying to get over the blahs. I haven't been online to much but I do plan on making some time to catch up on everyone's blogs. This is a card I've made for challenge 18 over at Whimsical Scraps & Bugs. Be sure to check out all the other fabulous cards the other DT members have made. For this challenge we were to use Mojo Monday sketch #88 (there's a pic of it over on the blog to!) and make a masculine card using our cricut. I looked thru all my cart. trying to find something that would remind me of my dad. I came across these boots off of Camp Out and knew immediately thats what I wanted to use. I guess you might be thinking boots, why boots?? But there is a couple of reasons why. To me they represent how hard my dad worked all my life to provide for me, my brother, and mom. He had a full time job at a plant (Reynolds Aluminum) and also farmed. So he would work all day and come straight in and head out to the fields and work till way past my bedtime. Even thou he worked hard and long he still made time for us to. The other reason is well I thought how no one could ever replace my daddy or fill his shoes. He is the best dad ever! Thanks for looking and I hope you like it! I would love to get your feedback!

SSPT DT Challenge

Hello everyone! It feels like ages since I've posted any projects on here! I've had a hard time trying to get my Mojo going. I made this card for the SSPT DT challenge. This time the challenge was bling! I just purchased some digi stamps from Lily-Boo's Boutique and haven't had a chance to play with them so that's what I decided to use. I colored the image with my prisma pencils. The butterfly I cut out again and pot dotted (don't think you can tell that to good from this picture) I added stickles to the roses and to the butterfly. The snail is a Studio G stamp and the sentiment is one I've had in my stash. I added some gems and ta da I was finished. I was going to add some ribbon but I didn't have any that matched arrrr.
