I was on the phone with my good pal Cheryll (Hi Cheryll!!) and we decided we would challenge each other to make a card using the sketch from Sheetload of Cards March Issue. Also, since I have it finished I'm going to go ahead and submit it to them just maybe I could win one of the awesome prizes they are giving away!! And if not that's ok I had fun playing along!! Here is my take on the sketch! The little crochet flower Cheryll made me (aren't they the cutest!) I really wished I could learn to take better pictures, I never get the lighting to work in my favor! Thanks for looking!!

Our challenge this time was to alter flash cards using the theme Easter. I've always wanted to try to make a arrangement so I thought I would give it a shot!! I used 6 flashcards and used them to attach the letters to. I cut the word Easter from Storybook. The flowers are cut from A Walk In My Garden and the rabbit is from Zooballoo. I also used my Cuttlebug to cut the butterflies. I used my Stampin Up punches for the word happy (using stamps) Added some stickles, plastic eggs, easter grass, and a dollar store basket and this is what I've come up with!! Thanks for looking!!

I have signed up for some swaps on the cricut mb so I decided today to sit down and start them before I ran out of time! The 1st swap is a tag swap and I signed up to do baby boy tags and summer tags (still have these to go!) I was excited in a way about these because I got to use my New Arrival Cart. that has been collecting dust!! I also have some peachy keen stamps for this cart. that I've never got to use so that was even better!! I used my stampin up punch for the scallop circle and the stamp is a studio g stamp. After I got it all put together I decided it needed a little something else so I used a heart stamp in white ink. I still have to add the ribbon but I've got to purchase that! The next swap that I joined was a ATC swap. This is my first time to do the ATC cards but they look like they can be loads of fun! I decided to keep mine simple. The picture really doesn't do these justice, the color is off. I had a hard time trying to get a some what decent picture. The lighting in my scraproom is not the best!! With these I used a mustard color cardstock and a green (not sure what to call this shade of green!) The colors look great together in person. I was going for a old age look so I inked the edges with walnut ink. The punch is a Martha Stewart and I can't remember who the stamp is by (alot of help I am hee hee) The theme of the ATC swap is sewing so I added a button! Don't ask me what a bird and sewing have in common I just went with it!! Anyhoo, hope you like!!

This month on the Cricut mb the challenge was to make a card or layout using a tag cut from the cart. of your choice. I'm on Team 2 and this is the card I have came up with. My tag is off of TBBM and the top note die is from Storybook (not sure exactly if this is what's it called but everyone says it resembles SU's die) The image is another one that I snagged off of a coloring book site and the sentiment is a inkadinkado stamp. Of course, the flowers are prima!! Thanks for looking!! GO TEAM 2!!!!!!!

Well, the weekend is over boo hoo! It's been a nice long lazy weekend and really not ready for Monday!! I went this weekend and bought a brayer (why, I don't know just didn't have one and wanted one hee hee) Anywho, got home and really want to play with it!! So, this is the card I come up with! The stamp is from inkadinkado and I embossed it in black. I also made my own background using circle stamps. I distressed the edges wanting to give it a tore look. Not sure if the picture really shows. I also added some bling in between the skulls. Hope everyone has a great week and hopefully I will be able to play so more soon!! Thanks for looking!!

The design teams challenge this week was to make a non traditional St. Patricks Day card using our cricut and the color green. I know this sounds bad but we (our family) has never really celebrated St. Patty's day so I had a hard time coming up with non traditional ideals!! I just went thru my stash and pulled out everything I thought could work and went from there! The horse shoe, pot of gold, and clovers are from the PDDU cart and the stamp and sentiment are from studio g. I used gold stickles to make the gold in the pot sparkle and then added around the edges (just felt like it helped the card stand out some) I also done some doodle dots around the horse shoe and clovers and inked the edges in brown to give them a aged look. I added some buttons to the clovers. The sentiment was stamped on a shape from Wild Card (I think) but can't remember what you call it!! I seen Crystals card today and really wanted to hide mine hee hee she does such amazing work!! Be sure to check hers out on her blog (link below) Also, everyones projects should be posted Monday so be sure to check out Whimsical Scraps & Bugs blog. Everyone does such great work!

Here it is late again...I should be in bed but just can't make myself go!! I was thinking earlier how I have all day that I could be making cards or layouts but if I try to create something during the day it never fails I wind up throwing it out!! Wierd I know, but I've come to realize I can only do this at night!! Maybe it just takes all day for my brain to start functioning ha ha. I have had so many ideas going thru my mind lately that it's about to blow up!! The funny thing is when I sit down to play it all leaves me!! As Randy says from American Idol "I don't know dawg I'm just not feeling it!" Ok, I'll guit rambling now...not sure I'm even making sense at this point (when it gets late I get loopy or should I say loopier!!) Here is a card I made tonight. This is another image I saved from a coloring book site. If anybody wants the image let me know and I can post it here. The birds nest is from Zooballou. Actually, all it looks like is a bowl I probably could have hand cut one just as easy. I had to hand doodle to try to make it look like a birds nest (sure hope you can tell that is what it is hee hee) The tag is from TBBM. I put glossy accents on the parrot to make him shiny. I kinda got carried away with my white gel pen (someone should have really taken it away because I probably doodled to much!) Let me know if you think this one is a keeper or not. I really love to get feedback so thanks everyone that has commented in the past it always brightens my day!! Heading to bed! Hope to be able to make something new tomorrow to share!! Good night!!!!

I had to run up to our local dollar store this evening we were completely out of Mt. Dew!! I didn't realize it till I went to fix me a glass and all that was left was a empty 2 liter bottle...so off to the dollar store I go!! On my way to check out I happen to glance over at the greeting cards and a particular card caught my eye. I studied it pretty good and came home and tried to recreate it my own way. Well, here it is...it may not be the best card but it was fun to make. Most of it was hand drawn and I hand wrote the sentiment. The inside reads: it would be raining daisies! Hope you enjoy!!
Several people wanted this image so I thought I would add it here. I figure you can right click and then save it to your pictures. I'm not sure but I thought I would give it a try! If it doesn't work for you let me know I don't mind emailing it to you! Remember you have to resize it! Be sure to comment on here if your having problems and I'll email it to you!

Well, this day is about to come to a end (well for me at least!) Every week our public library is having a class on different interests. A couple of weeks ago I was invited to speak on scrapbooking. Today a lady from our area taught a class on cards using real pressed flowers. I've been looking forward to this class since I heard about it. She supplied all the material and we each were able to make one card to bring home. Well, let me tell you my card just did not turn out at all!! Actually it will be tucked away probably never to be seen again!! It was very interesting learning a new craft but this is one I will probably will pass on!! Thank God for my cricut!!! I had so much fun the other night printing off the image from the Picasa site that I have spent most of the evening surfing around trying to find more images!! I did a search on coloring pages and I ran across this image so I thought I would give it a whirl and see what I could come up with and this is it!! The sentiments are studio G and I cut the palm tree from Doodlecharms. I'm always needing a male b-day card and I thought this would be cute. Let me know what cha think!!

My brother has a new girlfriend (actually they have been dating for a while now and are pretty serious)and I just found out her birthday is this week!! So, I had to get on the ball and make her a birthday card. I also would like to make her a little paper bag album (if I have time). I haven't got to many pictures of them together but hopefully I have enough I get do a little something! If you don't see pictures within this week you know I ran out of time and just had to forget about it!! Now to the card...First I really would like to thank Ruth over on her blog http://ruelysicreativecards.blogspot.com she had ran across a really neat web site where you can download images and then print out on your computer and color http://picasaweb.google.dk/silmara.marian I was just sooo excited and had to try it out!! I also ran across a card sketch that I wanted to try over at http://365cards.blogspot.com/2009/03/day-8-super-sketchy-sunday.html So, here is my take on it hope you like!! I used my bic markers to color (maybe one day I will be able to afford copic markers!!) I really love the way this card turned out!! I'm usually not sure or confident when I finish something but I can honestly say I'm happy with this!! Let me know what cha think!! Thanks for looking!! Thanks again Ruth for introducing me to this website I'm really going to have fun downloading and coloring!!

We were challenged this time to either create a layout, card, or a altered item usually black and white. One other color was permitted but we could only use it sparingly. We had to use the word spring cut from any cricut cartridge and to add some bling! This was truly a challenge!! When you think of spring you think of color! Well, here is what I came up with. I cut the word Spring 08 from the Calligraphy Cart. (just got this and have been wanting to try it out hee hee) I used Storybook for the journaling. I used some photo corners that are white with black swirls (can't see these to well in the picture) I also used lots of stickles and for the i I used a rhinestone for the dot. We have been putting down floor last week and this week so the house has been turned upside down and I haven't had alot of time to do alot of crafting. At times I look at this layout and I like it and other times I can't decide if I do or not lol. Let me know what you think is it a keeper or not?? Thanks for stopping by. We still are working on our floor but hopefully I will be able to start back making more layouts and cards. I've been having withdrawels!! P.S. If you click on the picture it will bring it up a little bigger!
