I used lots of Emma's goodies on my card for today :) It was so fun to make! I started by stamping a background from the Build A Scripty & Watercolor background set. I just love using this background for a sky! I then cut a piece of card stock for my sand and tore the edges up at the top. I used the Make A Splash die for my waves (I cut it three times). Isn't this little insta cam die ADORABLE!!! I absolutely LOVE it! It's from today's release, Picture Perfect. I found the little crab in the silhouette store and cut him out twice in two different sizes. The little sand mounds are from another file from the silhouette store. When I finished the card, it donged on me I could have used the cloud dies in the Fly Away With Me die set :( They would have worked for this too darn it!! Anyhoo, I used the word die, oh snap for the top part of my sentiment (it's included with the Picture Perfect set). For the second part of my sentiment, I used Just A Little Note To Say stamp set. I've added liquid glass to the crabs eyes and also to the lens part of the insta cam. I forgot to mention, I did use some pop dots for the top part of my insta cam. You can tell more from this picture that it's raised up some....

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you have a AWESOME crafty weekend!!

I'm super duper excited about this one! If you own the Tag Dies I'm sure your going to be too :) Today's sneak is the layers that coordinate with the Tag Dies!!

I wanted to get a jump start on my Christmas tags (it will be here before we know it ACK!!!) Every year I wait to the last minute to do tags so hopefully if I start now that will be one less thing to stress over! For my tag, I started out by cutting a tag from the Tag Dies (that will now be the back tag that layers underneath). I cut that tag out of kraft card stock and the "new" tag I cut out of white card stock. The script I stamped is from the set Build A Scripty & Watercolor Background set. The cardinal is from the Silhouette store and I've added some chunky glitter underneath him. I also added a small pearl for his eye. I used the Stitched Postage Frame die to frame him. The sentiment is from the set, From Our Family To Yours.

Thank you ALL so much for stopping by this week and leaving me such SWEET comments! You ALL are the BEST!!! I'll be back tomorrow for our release hop! I'm so excited for you to see tomorrow's card! I think it turned out to be my favorite for the week!! Have a AWESOME day!

Good morning and welcome back to My Creative Time's sneak peek week! For day two, hold on to your socks peeps today's set we are featuring just might knock your socks off!! The name of the set is Family is Everything and it includes stamps and dies woot woot!!!

I had so much fun making my card! I think I've fell in love with my Tim Holtz distress inks all over again! I used a background stamp from Peachy Keen called, Piles of Smiles and heat embossed with white embossing powder. I then sponged on four different distress inks.....Picked Raspberry, Peeled Paint, Barn Door, and Mustard Seed. I used one of the circle dies from the die set, Bunch of Fun Circles on the front panel of my card (love how it leaves the stitching around it!) I then cut a second piece of white card stock (the same size) and attached the two together. The larger word Smile is from the set, Happy Thoughts. I used the Alpha Pack Stamp set for the word "it" The rest of the sentiment is from this new set, Family is Everything :) This new set also includes some paint splatters! I used one and stamped around the sentiment :) Here is another look at it from the side.....

I love how easy it is to combine new sets and older sets together! That's just "one" of the reason's I love Emma's stamps and dies so much! Thanks for stopping by and I'll see you back here again tomorrow with day three sneaks! Have a AWESOME day! Hugs, Leanne

Today we will be showcasing a super cute stamp set that coordinates with the Embossed Gift Card Holder die called Fun Vertical Greetings!

For my gift card holder, I decided to use the vertical saying Happy B-Day! I found this cute clown head in the silhouette store. It was part of a box file but I only wanted to use the face for now :) I used a face from PK-1400 Clowning Around face assortment set. Those faces just crack me up! I fussy cut the glasses out and added liquid glass to them and his eyes. I also added some stickles to his hat. I used the Medium Stitched Scallop Bow for his bow tie. I also added two small little gems for buttons.

Thanks so much for stopping by today and I'll see you back here tomorrow for day two sneaks!!

MCT's Inspiration Wednesday!

Good morning peeps! I hope you are having a great week! Today is Inspiration Wednesday over at My Creative Time! If your not familiar with this, this is where Emma and the design team make a project from something that inspired us! Your inspiration can come from anywhere!

I took my inspiration from this card HERE! I thought her card was adorable and I wanted to recreate it using the cutie pa-tootie doggy from the Loyal Friends stamp & die set! I just LOVE these little doggy dies! I used the scribble mark from the You Are Fabulous set for my ground. The leaves are from a punch. The sentiment, Leaf it to me is from the Piles of Smiles stamp set. I paired it with a sentiment from, Wow So Many Candles stamp set. I used the Stitched Oval die to stamp the second sentiment on.

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you have a AWESOME day!

Stretch Your Stamps2 Day Nine!

I'm back to share another card I made for the Stretch Your Stamps2 card class I'm taking :) This is the last one for today :) Day 9 & 10 are working with floral builder stamps!

I absolutely LOVED Dawn Woleslagle's card she made! I guess I should back up! I loved all the cards for today's class! They were all so stunning! Dawn's card really caught my eye and I really wanted to try out her technique she shared. Her technique was called sketched outlines and let me just say I stink at it!!! I'm just way to OCD so I wasn't able to just let loose like she did!! BUT.....I didn't give up lol! I used MCT's, Build A Pretty Flower stamp set. I cut around my image just to change it up a bit. I then used a circle from MCT's, Bunch of Fun Circle die set to add my sentiments on. The die cut word Happy and the birthday sentiment are from MCT's, Happy Thought set.

I still like days, 10, 11, Bonus Day, and I skipped day 4! I was hoping to have a project made for each day.  I wanted to have a card made for each day and have them in the gallery before it's closed on Thursday. I'm just running out of time ACK!!! I hope you have enjoyed what I've made so far :) I have a few that I was not completely satisfied with but that's okay they were fun making them :) Thanks for stopping by and I'll see you back here tomorrow for MCT's Inspiration Wednesday!

Stretch Your Stamps2 Day Eight!

Hello! Here again to share my home work for day eight of the Stretch Your Stamps 2 card class :) Day 8 is still working with graphic stamps.

Taheerah shared a card she made using rain drops to form hearts. Since I really don't own any graphic stamps I just recreated using a heart from MCT's Postcard Add-Ons set. I stamped the hearts using Tim Holtz distress inks and water :) The die cut sentiment Smile and the sentiment below it are both from MCT's, Happy Thoughts set. This was such a fun card to make and I like how it came out!

Thanks for looking! Hugs, Leanne

Stretch Your Stamps2 Day 7!

Here is day seven's home work from the Stretch Your Stamps2 card class. Day 7 & 8 are using graphic stamp sets. I don't own any of the kind they were using for their samples so I just had to make do lol!

One of the techniques was the kissing technique! I love it! I'll have to remember this one for sure! The leaf is from Peachy Keen stamp kit September 2012 not sure if it's still available or not. I used MCT's Grainy Wood Background stamp for the kissing technique on my leafs and also for my background. The Hello is from MCT's Piles of Smiles stamp set (masked off the fall).

Thanks for looking! Hugs, Leanne

Stretch Your Cards2 Day Six!

Here is my home work for day six of the Stretch Your Stamps2 card class. This day is also using outline stamps. I'm having a love/hate relationship with this card! I love the technique but just not sure so much of my card design :(

This technique involved water painting and I'm really getting into using my distress inks so it seemed like a fun one to try! I don't own many outline stamps but I found this one from CTMH and decided to use it. The butterfly is from MCT's, Pretty Butterflies & Dragon fly die set. The scallop edge is MCT's, Fun Stitched Edges. The butterfly trail is from MCT's, Fun Paper Airplane die set.

Thanks for looking! Hugs, Leanne

Stretch Your Stamps2 Day 5!

Hi :) Here's my home work for day 5 of the Stretch Your Stamps2 online card class. Day 5 & 6 are showing different techniques using outline stamps. One of the techniques was adding dimension to your image and since I love to paper piece that was the one I chose :)

I used MCT's, Bloom Where You Are Planted stamp set for my card. I stamped the image first on my card base. I then stamped it three more times for the flowers. It may be hard to tell by the photo but the first layer I glued just about flat (left the top left hand petals where they would lift at the tips some). The second time, I cut out the bottom left hand flower and the top right hand flower and added some foam tape to raise them up. The third time I cut out only the bottom right hand flower and again added foam tape :) I colored the stems with my prisma pencils (I haven't used those is in FOREVER!!!) I wanted to add some shadowing around the image and still not overly happy at my results but I put so much time into cutting out the flowers I wasn't about to throw it away hee hee! I stamped the bow onto some pattern paper and cut that out also. The sentiment is from this set too :)

Thanks for looking :) Hugs, Leanne

Stretch Your Stamps2 Day Three!

Hello! I'm buzzing in (get it bees....buzzing ha! I crack myself up!) to share real quick a card I've made! I'm taking the Stretch Your Stamps2 class and this is home work for day three!

Today's class I used a technique that was taught called word art stenciling :) This was fun but also a little challenging lol! I used the beehive die from MCT's Stitched Bees & Beehive dies set for my stencil. I then used the sentiment Bee you! from MCT's Bee Happy Stamp set and stamped it inside the beehive. The little bee's and the sentiment below the beehive is from this stamp set also. I colored the bee's with my copic markers and added some stickles to their wings. The little bee trail that I used is from the set, Fun Paper Airplane die and stamp set. I sponged around with some blue ink and then around the edges using black ink.

Day 3 & 4 was using alphabets and I've still have several other techniques to try but this one caught my eye first! Sorry to make this short! I've got several more cards I will be posting and trying to get most of them done before hubby gets home :)
Hugs, Leanne

Head of the Class Blog Hop!

***BLOG HOP GIVEAWAY***
For our blog hop giveaway, Emma is giving away a $50 gift card to the "My Creative Time" store to ONE LUCKY winner! ALL you have to do is leave a comment on each of our blogs! You are NOT required to comment on EVERY SINGLE blog, but the more you comment on, the better chance you have for winning! VERY IMPORTANT, PLEASE leave a way for us to contact you w/your comment just in case "YOU" are the lucky winner!

Hello :) Welcome to our Blog Hop! You should be arriving here from Emily's Blog. To start at the beginning of the hop click HERE :)

For my first card, I found this Heart Flap Card in the Silhouette store and thought it went perfect with the sentiment from the new set, Write On! I wanted to break the sentiment up so I used some tape and stamped the first part on the banner and then the second part underneath the heart. The paper is by Lori Whitlock, called School Days. Here's a look at it from the side....

I used my cricut and the cartridge Create a Friend for this cute little guy :) The apple he is holding is from the new set, Write On. I stamped it and colored it with my copic markers. I then hand cut it out and glued it to his hand.

I used this sentiment for the inside of my card. It is also from the new set, Write On.

For my second card, I wanted to show how you can use this set in ways other than just for school theme projects! The little fish with the birthday hat is another svg file from the Silhouette store. I did sparkle him up (along with the sentiments) using my Stardust Jellyroll pen. I added just a little bit of stickles underneath him too. The bubbles are from the Surf's Up stamp set and I added liquid glass to them. Both sentiments are from the new set, Write On.

Here's a look at it from the side....

I added a Happy Birthday sentiment to the inside but I forgot to take a picture of it :( I also used my corner rounder punch to round the edges. Well, that's it for me! I hope you liked my cards and how I used the Write On stamp set! Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a AWESOME weekend!

My Creative Time's Thrifty Thursday!

Good morning peeps! Today is Thrifty Thursday over at My Creative Time! This is when we make a project using our left over's, scraps, or recyclables! I love these challenges because I have lots of things I've held onto just waiting to be used!

A couple of weeks ago I took the Stretch Your Cards2 online class. It was so fun and I highly recommend taking it! I so want to do the watercolor one next! Anyhoo, I have to say I'm pretty stoked about this card! The background was a total mess up from a technique I was trying to do on one of the class days but I held on to it instead of trashing it! I also had a little strip of the background I made on this card (HERE) left. It was enough to die cut the word hello from the set, Speech Bubble Sentiments. I added it to the Stitched Postage Frame die. I was so happy that I was able to make something left out of my boo boo's lol! I loved how it came out!

I guess it is a good thing to hold on to everything! Just when you think why am I keeping that? you have a light bulb moment lol!!! Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a AWESOME day!

MCT Made In Minutes Monday

Good morning! I hope you all had a great weekend :) Today is Made in Minutes Monday over at My Creative Time and I have a very quick and easy card to share with you today!!

I have been using my Tim Holtz distress pads to do my water coloring but I had to run into Hobby Lobby last week and broke down and actually bought me a set of water color paints! I was just testing the colors but I actually thought it turned out pretty cool so I turned it into a card! All I did was take different colors and layered them from the bottom up. I then took two of the colors and made paint splatters. I used the word die "you" from the set, Speech Bubble sentiments set. The "color me happy" is from the stamp set, Color Me Happy. This card probably took less than five minutes to make! It's simple and quick hee hee!

Thanks for stopping by! Have a AWESOME day!

Stretch Your Stamps2 Class Day Two!

Hi! I'm absolutely LOVING the Stretch Your Stamps2 class that I'm taking online! I just wish I had more time to play!! Seems like life just keeps getting busier and busier each day here! It's NEVER a dull moment at the Garner residence that's for sure! Anyhoo, I'm back to share with you another card from day two's class! This technique is called the ombre effect and it was so fun to do!!

We are still working with background stamps and I chose another background stamp by Peachy Keen. I used Tim Holtz distress ink in Barn Door and Picked Raspberry for my two colors (stretched them to make three shades). I used the heart from My Creative Time's, Anchor & Heart die set. The Happy and the sentiment inside the heart is also by My Creative Time's, Happy Thoughts set. I did die cut the Happy out four times to give it some thickness. I then raised it up by cutting some small strips from pop dots.

I still have several techniques I haven't gotten to try yet, but I'll be sure to post my projects as I go along! Good thing this class is a work at your own pace or I would be sinking for sure! I'll be keeping my grandson's tonight and most of the day tomorrow so I'm sure I won't get ANY playing time while they are here! That's okay :) They are SO worth every minute I get to spend with them :) Have a AWESOME day!

Stretch Your Stamps Day One

Hi! I'm taking the class Stretch Your Stamps 2! Yesterday was the first day and oh what some awesome techniques they are teaching!! I didn't get to finish up my "homework" till this morning and haven't got started on today's lesson yet. That's the beauty of these classes, it's at your own pace! Which in my case works out GREAT!! I'm slow as Christmas when I make a card hee hee!!

Today's card I used one of the techniques that Kristina shared in her video. We are working with background stamps and this technique is called multilayer emboss resist :) I created this background using Peachy Keen's background stamp, Grandma's Bathroom Floor! I couldn't find it on the site to link it so I'm not sure if this one has been discontinued or not :( I heat embossed it using white embossing powder and then used Tim Holtz inks to water color. The Happy is a die cut from My Creative Time's, Happy Thought's set and the rest of the sentiment is included in there too!  I added clear embossing powder to the Happy part but not quite sure you can tell by the photo. Last I added a few little pearls so it wouldn't feel so naked lol!!

Loving this class! Not sure if I got a "A" for yesterday's lesson though lol!! Maybe a B+ (maybe)! Thanks for stopping by and I'll be sharing more projects as I get them completed! Have a AWESOME day!
Hugs, Leanne

MCT Tag It Tuesday - Photo Inspiration

Good morning! Today is Tag It Tuesday over at My Creative Time! We were asked to create a tag using this PHOTO as our inspiration :)

I decided to use some of the colors in the photo as my inspiration. I started by cutting two tags using the Tag die set. I cut two to add one to the back. For my top layer, I used the Grainy Background and heat embossed it using black embossing powder. I then use some Tim Holtz distress inks and used them as watercolors to finish painting the background. The flowers are from the Flower Petal die set and I also used Tim Holtz ink to color them. I used one of the bee dies from the Stitched Bees & Beehive set and then stamped it using the coordinating stamp from the Bee Happy set. The sentiment is also from the Be Happy set and I stamped it on one of the banners from the Trio Stitched Banner die set. I've added Glimmer Mist to the flowers, bee, and the sentiment to give them some sparkle :)

Sorry this post is going to be super short! I'm up wayyyy past my bed time (if you listen real hard you might even hear my bed calling my name like I can bahahaha) Anyhoo, thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a AWESOME Tuesday :) Hugs, Leanne
