MCT 37th Release Sneak Peek Day One

Good morning my crafty friends :) It's that time again!! It's MCT SNEAK PEEK week!!! Today we will be showing you two new sneaks called, Whimsical Trees & Seasonal Greetings!

Okay, you know my obsession with trees?! I'm over the moon excited with these two sets!! Just look at the stitching...LOVE :) Anyhoo, on with the details! To start with, I used one of the circles from the Bunch of Fun Circle die set to make my circle on my white card stock. I embossed it using my Swiss Dots embossing folder. Next, I took the circle (the one that was cut out) and sponged my night sky. I made my snow using my white Jelly roll pen. I then cut one more circle and used the Fun Stitched Edges die set to make my snow banks. I did pop the top layer up for dimension. I cut two of the Christmas trees from this new release and placed them down. I then cut another thin strip of white card stock and stamped my sentiment on. I used my white Jellyroll pen again to make some stitching around the edges.

Thanks for stopping by! Be sure to visit Emma's Blog to see what she and the design team made using these two new sets! I'll see you back here tomorrow for day two sneaks :)
Hugs, Leanne

MCT What a Treat Wednesday!

Good morning! Today is What a Treat Wednesday over at My Creative Time! I haven't made any 3-D crafts in awhile so forgive me, mine is SUPER simple lol!!

I decided to make this to show my mom! I thought it might be something she would like to give to her Sunday school ladies for Christmas. This is just a quick sample I did up to show her. If she decides to go this route I'm going to fancy them up some more hee hee. Plus, I just used regular Lipton tea for a example. I'm sure she will get some type of flavored tea or as I call it "fancy" tea lol! I found this file in the Silhouette store and it's super easy to put together! It came with a scallop tag but I did leave that part off so I could decorate the front using MCT goodies! I used the two labels that layer in the Stitched Rectangular Frame & more die set to add my cute little cup to :) The sentiment and cup are from the set, All You Need Is Coffee stamp & die set. The ribbon is from my stash!

Here's another view from the side :)

I wasn't joking when I said super simple! This seriously was a quick project (I almost feel ashamed lol) I do think these would be cute little Christmas presents! I've got some other ideas up my sleeve to show her to so stay tuned I'll share them here too! Thanks for stopping by! Have a GREAT day!

MCT Made In Minutes Monday

Good morning crafty friends! I hope everyone had a AWESOME weekend! I did, just wished they didn't go by so fast! Today is Made In Minutes Monday over at My Creative Time (I dare you to say that really fast 5x's hee hee) Anyhoo, today is where we make a project not just to see how fast we can but one that would be easy to duplicate in matter of minutes.

For my card, I found this ghost in the Silhouette Store but I'm sure you could find one either on a cricut cartridge or maybe even a freebie on the internet! For this one, I hid his face using the Silhouette software so I could use PK-1400 Clowning Around face assortment. I used my copics to color and then added liquid glass. The spiderwebs and spider are from the die set, Wicked Fun. I used the layering labels in the Stitched Rectangular Frames & More set to stamp my sentiment on. The sentiment is from Fright Night. I couldn't get this to show up in my picture but before I put my ghost down I misted the background (spider webs & spider to) with Shimmer Spritz. I also went over the sentiment with a wink of stella pen. I wished you could see it :( It's all sparkly in real life!!

As always, thank you for stopping by today! I hope you like my card! Have a GREAT crafty fun filled day!

MCT Designer Challenge Thursday!

Good morning all my crafty friends! Today is Designer Challenge Thursday at My Creative Time! I decided to go with the sketch challenge....

For my card, I used the Piles of Smiles stamp set for my wagon scene. I used my copic markers to color. The sentiment is also from this stamp set. I used the Stitched Decorative Banner dies and instead of adding them to the side I added mine to the bottom (such a rebel bahahaha). I used my scor pal to score my lines. I thought it might make it look more elegant but now not sure if I should have tried something different! I always second guess myself!! Anyhoo, can you believe I used some pattern paper?!!! Yup, talk about living life on the edge! I don't know what got in me but yes, I was able to break out some scraps from my stash without going into panic mode lol!

Don't forget to head over to Emma's Blog to see what she and the other design team made! I'm sure they won't disappoint they NEVER do!! Thanks for stopping by!

Inspiration Wednesday!

Good morning peeps! Welcome to Inspiration Wednesday at My Creative Time!! This is one of my favorite things we do and I'm always excited when I see that I'm scheduled for this day!! If your not familiar with Inspiration Wednesday it's where we can make any project of our choice using something that inspired us to make it.

I get TONS of my inspiration from Pinterest! I absolutely love that site! Matter of fact, I stay on Pinterest wayyyy to much hee hee! Not only do you find gorgeous projects, new techniques, and tutorials there's lots of AWESOME recipes too! Anyhoo, I found this the other day...

I thought these were so cute! That's when it hit me!! I may not can make them with wood but by golly I can with paper!!! To start with, I used one of the tags from the Tag Dies. I added my googly eyes and then decided my kitty needed a nose and whiskers! I used PK-138 Kitty Tear Face parts for mine. My nose smeared just a bit but I figure it just gives him a little bit more personality! Or at least that's what I kept telling myself to keep from throwing him away! I also used my white ink and sponged around the sides and a little for his ears. The spooky background and the sentiment is from the set, Spooky Starry Night stamp set. I didn't have any raffia like above but I think the Medium Stitched Scallop bow turned out just as cute! I have used the new Stitched Rectangular Frame dies so much that I have tons of little frames that I have saved! I used one here to add a frame :) Here's another peek at it from the side...

Well, I hope you like my little tag turned kitty! I had fun making him! Be sure to visit Emma's Blog to see what she and the other design team Ladies made and what they used as their inspiration! Have a AWESOME day and thanks for stopping by! Hugs, Leanne

MCT Trending Now Thursday!

Good morning! I hope everyone is having a AWESOME week :) Today starts something new over at My Creative Time called Trending Now Thursday! This is where we will feature something that is HOT right now! We will be doing this once a month. For this month, we are using gold (metallic) somewhere in our projects.

For my card, I started by using a rectangular die from the die set, Stitched Rectangular Frames And More. I then stamped a background using the Grainy Wood Background stamp. The deer head silhouette is from the Silhouette store. I'm in LOVE with the new leaves from the, A Thankful Heart set! The leaves are absolutely GORGEOUS!!  I inked them in various fall colors and then used a embossing pen to outline the edges and also the "veins". I then heat embossed using gold embossing powder. They really are nice and shiny in real life just not showing  up so well in my pictures :( I used the layering label dies in the Stitched Rectangular Frames and More set and stamped a sentiment that is also included. I heat embossed the sentiment too using gold embossing powder.

Thank you for stopping by today! Hugs, Leanne

Coffee anyone?

Good morning! I have to admit, I'm not a coffee drinker :( I have tried my best to love the stuff but so far my Diet Mtn. Dew wins EVERY morning hee hee! Now on the other hand, my husband has to have a cup each morning! I'm not giving up! We have a Keurig and I'm sure somewhere there's a K-cup with my name written all over it lol! I've ordered some Pumpkin Spice and Caramel Cappuccino that should be here any day so keep your fingers crossed that one of those I will fall in love with!

Even though I'm not big on drinking the stuff it doesn't stop me from having fun using Emma's new set, All You Need Is Coffee! Anyhoo, enough rambling (sorry) I'll get on with the details :) This cute little chef is from PKSC-25 January 2014 stamp kit. I colored him with my copic markers (which is not the best coloring job, I used to dark of a gray). The cute little coffee cup he's holding is from All You Need Is Coffee. Isn't it CUTE!!! The set also comes with stamps to decorate the cups and here I've used the little flower one. I also used it on the hand towel draped on his arm. The little dotted heart steam is also included in this set along with the sentiment and the word die, coffee. I love that she uses her own hand writing for these! They cut out so perfect, just like butter!! I forgot to mention I used one of the rectangular dies from the Stitched Rectangular frames and More to stamp my little scene on. The background is from PK-117 Picnic Tablecloth

Thanks for stopping by today! Hugs, Leanne

MCT 36th Edition Release Blog Hop!

Hello peeps! Welcome to our blog hop! You should be arriving here from Micia's Blog but if you need to start at the beginning click HERE (Emma's Blog). Today I will be sharing some cards I made using the new set, A Thankful Heart! Absolutely LOVE this set! The leaf dies are GORGEOUS and a MUST have for your Fall projects!!

For my first card, I decided to use one of the leaves as a stencil. I cut one out and used the negative space to sponge on my cardstock. I used three different colors of ink and randomly placed the stencil on different areas of the card. I used this release freebie, Something To Be Thankful For and stamped it in the center. I stamped it again on some scratch paper to make another mask. I covered it up so I could stamp the script background stamp from the set, Build A Scripty & Watercolor Background. I still had some white space left so I decided to stamp some hearts from the set, Live,Love,Laugh & Be Happy stamp set. Last, I sponged around the edges with some ink.

For my last card, it's a super quick and easy one but I love how it turned out! I sponged some Tim Holtz distress ink onto watercolor paper and then cut my leaves out from that. I found a bare tree branch in the Silhouette store and glued the leaves to it. I stamped this release freebie stamp as my sentiment.

Here's a look at it from the side. I didn't glue the leaves completely down and curled them some.

I want to say THANK YOU ALL so much for such sweet comments this week!!! Each one truly brightened my day so thank you from the bottom of my heart! I hope you all have a AWESOME weekend! Hugs, Leanne

MCT 36th Edition Release Sneak Peek Day 3!

Hello all my crafty peeps! Happy hump day and also to our third day of sneak peeks! Today will be showing peeks from a set called, A Thankful Heart. It's another MUST HAVE to add to your list!

I don't why when I think of Fall, I think of squirrels! But I do! We have squirrels by the gazillions running around in our yard not just in Fall but all year long! I use to think they were cute but after them digging in our flower beds or our pots on the porch well the little pest are not as cute as they once were hee hee! The only squirrel I think is cute now is like the one I used on my card.....a svg file bahahaha!! Now that I'm thinking of it, I'm not sure why I made mine brown. Our squirrels are gray! Hmmmm is there such a thing as a brown squirrel?! Anyhoo, before I get off into a deep thought process (which seriously gives me a headache) I'll just get on with the details :) The squirrel is from the Silhouette store. See those GORGEOUS leaves? Those are the dies that are included in this set! I love the embossing on them! I used a gold pen to highlight the veins even more. I used the layer label die that is also from this new release, Stitched Rectangular Frames & more. For my sentiment, the first part Piles of Smiles is from the stamp set Piles of Smiles. The second part for you. is from todays sneak A Thankful Heart. Here's another look at my card from the side....

Thanks for stopping by and to see more sneaks be sure to head over to Emma's Blog!! Have a BLESSED day! Hugs, Leanne

MCT 36th Edition Release Sneak Peek Day Two!

Good morning and welcome back to day two of sneak peeks! Today we will be showing peeks from two new Halloween sets, Trick or Treat & Wicked Fun Dies! You will definitely want both of these sets for Halloween! They are so fun to play with!!

For my first card, I used the largest rectangular from yesterday sneaks and tried a new embossing technique I learned from Stamp TV on how to emboss only a portion of your card stock using a embossing folder! SO COOL!!! Now lots of you may already know how to do this (I'm always just a tad behind lol) but I didn't! I love learning something new! I also used the new layered label dies that is included in the Stitched Rectangular Frame dies & more. I stamped my sentiment which is from today's sneak, Trick or Treat. The witches hat & legs are in the Wicked Fun die set! Are they not the cutest??!!! I used my StarDust jelly roll pen to draw little buckles on the hat and shoes (you can tell it more in the photo below). The stars below the embossing is also in this set and I stamped them several times to go across.

Now onto another fun Halloween card! I used the little dotted background stamp included in a older MCT set called, Small Talk. The sentiment is another sneak from the Trick or Treat set. Everything else is dies from the new set, Wicked Fun!! I used some twine to add to the witches hat and also some liquid glass to the boots!

Here's a side view! Not sure but maybe you can see her shiny boots more in this picture...

For my last card, it's super simple too but I think she turned out cute! I started by making a mask using one of the rectangular dies. I then stamped the Grainy Wood Background stamp using the mask. This witch is a Miss Kate Cuttables svg file and if witches can be sweet I think this is one of the sweetest one's I've seen hee hee! I love her big ole eyes! I've added some liquid glass to them also (I just love that stuff lol I'll add it to anything I can think of!) The spider is from this new set, Wicked Fun dies (I did trim it some) The sentiment is another sneak from the Trick or Treat set.

Another picture from the side...

Well, that's it for me today! I'll be back again tomorrow for day three sneaks! Have a WICKED good day! Hugs, Leanne

Goooood morning peeps! I hope you all have had a great weekend! I am so excited today is finally here! I LOVE sneak peek week and have had so much fun working with this new release! I can't wait to show you all my sneaks for this week! Today's sneak is featuring a die set called, Rectangular Stitched Frames & More :)

It's that time of year again (or it just may be me) where you start making Fall/Halloween projects! I've already found lots of cute svg files in the Silhouette store that I can't wait to use! I ran across this cute candy corn character the other day and just HAD to use him hee hee! He also worked out perfect for the background that I had salvaged when I was playing with my stencils! The stencil is by Heidi Swapp and I used my Tim Holtz distress ink to sponge with. I've added some liquid glass to his eyes and also from the die cut word "hi" (which is included in this set) I've also used the rectangular dies to make my black frame. I did this by placing two of the dies together (the smaller one inside the larger one) and running it through my Grand Calibur. I love that it has the stitching around the edges! I also used it to frame my background piece (had to adjust to make it the size I needed). Last, I added some pop dots and raised up the center portion to add some dimension. You may can tell that more in this photo...

I have another super quick card to share with you! I used three different size circles from the Bunch of Fun Circle die set. I then used the Grainy Wood background stamp and stamped each one with different color of ink. The cute squirrel is from the Silhouette store and the hearts are from the Postcard Add-on stamp set. I've used the largest rectangular die and the "hi" word die from this new release, Rectangular Stitched Frames & More.

I've added a pop dot to the circle with the squirrel and also to the smallest circle...

I used the Good Friends stamp set for the inside sentiment....

I LOVE this die set! I've used it on lot's of my projects for this week! I'll see you back here tomorrow for some more totally wicked sneaks! Have a AWESOME Monday and thanks for stopping by!
Hugs, Leanne

Peachy Keen Challenge 14-13!

Hello! I was scrolling through FaceBook today and ran across the Peachy Keen Challenge for this month! There's a photo inspiration and a sketch to go by. I choice the sketch for my card :)

The clown is a svg file from the Silhouette Store. I've used him before but not since I got my hands on the adorable PK-1400 Clowning Around face assortment set! These faces are just to darn cute and crack me up! I added some liquid glass to his glasses. The banner is from MCT's Vintage Stitched label die set. Both circles are also dies from the Bunch of Fun Circle die set. The Happy Birthday sentiment is from PK-123 Darren and Laura Lee stamp set. The word "enjoy" is from PKSC-25 January 2014

I've missed getting to play in the Peachy Keen challenges! If you haven't checked out their challenge for this month be sure to check this one out and get your entry in! Thanks for looking and have a AWESOME weekend!
Hugs, Leanne

MCT Thrifty Thursday!

Hey ya'll! Happy Thursday and welcome to my little ole Blog! Today is Thrifty Thursday over at My Creative! Today we are to use or scraps or left overs and turn them into projects :)

I've been wanting some stencils for a while and I finally got my hands on some! I don't have any mist or sprays so I've just been having fun sponging using Tim Holtz distress ink :) The dot stencil is by Tim Holtz and the hearts & stars is a Heidi Swapp stencil. The word "Happy" is my left over on my card. I just LOVE this word die and actually have several still cut out in several different colors just waiting to be used! It and the word "birthday" are both from the Happy Thoughts stamp & die set. I added liquid glass to the stars and also to the word "Happy". This is soooo different from what I normally make or should I say way out of my comfort zone!  I have to admit, I sure did have fun just getting all inky lol!

I'm still getting ready for our sneak peek next week! I'm in LOVE with this next release! Thanks for stopping by! I hope you have a AWESOME day!
Hugs, Leanne

MCT Tag it Tuesday!

Good morning and Happy Tuesday! Today is Tag it Tuesday over at My Creative Time :) We were given this photo to use as our inspiration...

I used the colors (as I see them on my computer) yellow, gray, & black as my inspiration. For my tags, I used the Tag Dies & Tag Die Layers. I also used the Stitched Postage Frame die and stamped it with the Grainy Wood Background stamp. The cute little bear is from the Beary Special Thoughts stamp set and I colored him with my copic markers. I then used my StarDust Jelly Roll pen and colored over the copic markers. He's really sparkly in real life just not sure if you can tell it in the photo or not! The balloons are from the die set, Stitched Party. For the strings to my balloons, I used the shortest stem in the Build A Pretty Flower stamp set. The sentiment is from the set, Many Greetings. I also used the little round tab from the Stitched Round Tag, Arrow, & Tag die set. I used some twine from my stash and then tied a bow using hemp.

I got happy mail in da house today woop! woop!! I will be working on sneak peeks for Emma's next release! You're going to Fall in LOVE with this next release! :)
