MCT Made In Minutes Monday!

Happy Monday! If you're anything like me you hate seeing the weekend come to a end! The weather has been gorgeous and we spent the whole weekend outside! To bad it's not going to stay that way! From what the weatherman said this week is going to be raining and cold again arrrrr. This is the winter that just won't die!

Today is Made In Minutes Monday at My Creative Time! I have a super fun and quick card to share with you! I forgot to time how long it took but I know it wasn't long at all! I used four different CTMH ink colors Crystal Blue, Smoothie,Honey, and Black.  I used a sponge dauber and sponged Crystal Blue at the top of my card and then I flipped my card upside down and sponged the Honey. I then sponged Smoothie in the middle. Last I went around the edges using Black ink. Before I did my image (the palm tree) I used a water bottle and spritz it with water a few times! I love how it made the little dew marks on the paper! The palm tree is from the Silhouette store and I did it a little different this time but not sure if you can tell by my picture. I usually just cut the image out and then glue it down but this time I used the negative part and sponged it onto my card using black ink. The sentiment is from My Favorite Sayings. Here's a look at it from the side...

I have been having so much fun playing with my inks and I hope I have inspired you to take yours out and play too!  Have a AWESOME day! Hugs, Leanne

PPPR Baby-Themed Blog Hop!

Good morning! Welcome to the PPPR Baby-Themed blog hop! You should be arriving here from Leah's Blog but if not and need to start at the beginning click HERE to head over to Lisa's Blog! Our theme for this hop is all about babies!

For my first card, I used several PPPR cutting files - Changing Time (for the baby), Hoppy Easter (for the eggs and grass) and Bunny Photo Props (for the carrot) The sentiment is by My Creative Time, Happy Hunting stamp set.

For my second card, I used one of the jars in My Creative Time's, Stitched Chunky Jar die set and filled it with the diaper pins from the Changing Time cutting file set. I cut the jar out twice once in acetate and again in card stock. I used my CTMH inks and sponged a little background and a place for my jar to sit. The sentiment is from My Creative Time's, Fun Variety on the Inside & Out stamp set.

Here's a little better picture of it....

I actually made a third card but I gave up on trying to get a decent picture! I had such a hard time photographing my projects this time just never could get the lighting to work in my favor. If you have followed me for a while you know this drives me CRAZY and I've tried just about everything!! I have ordered me ANOTHER light tent (different than the one I have now) and see if it helps any and if not I guess I'm just going to have to live with it hee hee!!

The Blog candy for this hop is a $15 gift card to the PPPR store! For a chance to win, you must be a follower of each blog and leave a comment on each blog! For extra chances, you can also "LIKE" Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbon on Facebook (click HERE) and/or signing up for the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons Newsletter (click HERE) A random winner will be chosen for the prize on Tuesday, April 15th!

Cherish yesterday....

Hello peeps! I hope everyone has had a wonderful week! Today is my favorite day of the week FRIDAY!!!  I'm ready to get this weekend started!!

I have another scene card to share with you today! Bare with me, I'm about to get them out of my system or at least for a little while hee hee! For the water, I tore a piece of paper and used it as a mask. I moved it in several different directions and rotated between two colors CTMH Sky ink and CTMH Crystal Blue. The sailboat silhouette is from the Silhouette store. I used CTMH Buttercup and CTMH Honey for the sun. I then sponged around the edges and along the bottom using CTMH Black ink. I also used stickles in the water to give it a little sparkle. The sentiment is from My Creative Time's, Treasured Moments.

I've had fun making these cards and still have some more ideas floating around in my head just getting them to come to life on paper is the hard part hee hee!! Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you have a AWESOME weekend! Hugs, Leanne

Happy Birthday!

Good morning peeps! As you can tell from my last several posts I've been having fun playing with my inks and creating scene cards so I have another one to share with you today!

Let me start out by sharing the link to the card that I got my inspiration from....HERE. Her card is so GORGEOUS and really caught my eye when I was on Pinterest! By the way, I LOVE Pinterest hee hee!! There's lots of inspiration from very talented crafters and I could spend days just looking (and drooling) at all the awesome projects I find on there! One day I hope when I grow up that some of that talent will rub off on me lol!!

Anyhoo, here is my take on the her gorgeous card! I did lots of masking and sponging and several times I really thought it was headed to the garbage can! But I have to say I'm really pleased with the end results! I really started out by trying to use her tutorial she had posted but before I knew it everything had went south so I just went with the flow bahaha! The stamps I used where CTMH Always Grateful, CTMH A Journey (discontinued), and for the sentiment I used MCT's Floral sentiment stamp set. The silhouette of the wolf is from the Silhouette store. I think my favorite part of the card is the river I made! If you enlarge it, it looks like there are stones in the water and I thought that was pretty cool! Here's another peek from the side...

Thanks for stopping by today! Hugs, Leanne

MCT Inspiration Wednesday!

Good morning! Today is Inspiration Wednesday over at My Creative Time! If you are new to my blog or to My Creative Time this is the day that we create from something that inspires us!

I don't like posting pictures of other peoples work without their permission so I'm just going to share the link with you! This is the card that inspired me...click HERE :) I've used the Girl's Night Out dies for the dress and hanger. The purse is from the Classy Girl Accessories die set and I've used a sentiment from the Girl's Night Out stamp set. I'm wondering, since I used all the Girl's Night Out sets could this be just a little hint that THIS girl needs a night out bahahaha??!!! I sponged around the dress using Lagoon and Black ink. I wanted some sparkle so I added silver stickles to the dress, purse, and then I made little dots with it too! Here's a look at it from the side.....

Thanks so much for stopping by today!! Enjoy your Wednesday! Hugs, Leanne

Everyone call you amazing...

Good morning! I hope everyone's day is getting off to a great start! I have another card I want to share with you! I'm having so much fun making these scene cards!

For this card, I thought I would tackle a night scene! I started out by punching a circle and using it as a mask for my moon. I then used my ink and sponged around it using Crystal Blue and Sky ink. Next, I used Sweet Leaf and sponged it for my grass. I used black ink at the very bottom. The trees are from the Always Grateful stamp set. I sponged around the base of them using Topiary. The couple silhouette is from the Silhouette store. The sentiment is by My Creative Time, Treasured Moments. I heat embossed it with white embossing powder.

I hope everyone has a AWESOME weekend! Thanks for stopping by! Hugs, Leanne

Playing with my ink!

Hey ya'll! Happy Thursday! I'm back today with another card to share with you! I had so much fun playing with my ink on my last card (and plus they are still strolled all over my desk hee hee) that I decided to use them to make another background for my card!

This is really easy to do and doesn't take long at all! I started out by swiping my ink across the top and bottom of my card. Next, I made a mask by tearing a piece of card stock to represent my mountains. I placed my mask down just a little to leave a sky and then using a sponge dauber and my ink I created my first mountain. I just kept moving my mask down and sponging with ink till I got the scene I wanted! At the bottom I went back and sponged using black ink. The cowboy silhouette is from the Silhouette store. The sentiment is from the Inspiring Words Accents stamp set

I just LOVE my CTMH ink pads! If you don't own any I highly suggest giving them I try! Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a GREAT day! Hugs, Leanne

Here are the colors I  used for my card today..
Crystal Blue

MCT Whatever Wednesday!

*This is my second post for today click HERE for my PPPR post*

Good morning! Today is Whatever Wednesday over at My Creative Time and I have a card I want to share with you :) I made this one for my brother. He had a bad week last week and I thought this card might would cheer him up!

I had fun playing with my CTMH ink pads! I started by swiping the color Honey across the top half of my card stock. I then did the same for the bottom half but using the color Crystal Blue. I then made a mask right above the Crystal Blue, using a sponge dauber I sponged (using the Crystal Blue again) to make a mountain and the ground underneath the tree. The tree is from CTMH's Always Grateful set. For the reflection in the water, I stamped the tree on a transparency sheet and then flipped it upside down then I gently rubbed it onto the card stock (hope that made sense lol). I then used my sponge dauber again and the color Sweet Leaf for the bottom to represent a grassy ground. The deer silhouettes are from the Silhouette Store. The sentiment is from the Many Greetings Stamp set.

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you have a AWESOME day! Hugs, Leanne

MCT Try Me Tuesday

Good morning! I hope your week is going great so far! This week is suppose to be really nice weather wise and I can't tell you how excited I am for warmer days! My hubby is already lining up yard projects for us to do in the evenings as soon as he gets in from work and this is bad to admit but I'm excited for that too!!

Anyhoo, today is Try Me Tuesday over at My Creative Time! The technique we are using today is "masking". I LOVE trying new things! I have to admit I really need to practice on this one! I just about used up a roll of masking tape for this little bitty piece you see on my card bahahahaha! I started out on white card stock but in the end I trimmed it wayyy down to fit the Stitched "Capture" frame die. I used the Hello Spring stamp set for the bunnies. The sentiment is from the Girl's Night Out stamp set. Last, I added the Stitched Daisy die. Here's a look from the side.....

I want to say this is such a FUN technique and I hope I've inspired you (even if it's a little hee hee) to give it a try! There is lots of inspiration on Pinterest and I'm sure that the design team will knock your socks off so don't forget to check Emma's Blog too! Hope you have a AWESOME day! Hugs, Leanne

Hay ya'll hee hee! Welcome to our cross promotion blog hop! If you have arrived from Karen's Blog you are hopping in the right direction! If you need to go back and start from the beginning click HERE to Lisa's Blog!

Today I'll be sharing some cards I made using PPPR's cutting files... On The Farm, Farm Critters, and Cute Chicks! The stamp set I chose from My Craft Spot is Down On The Farm! I have to say I'm am in LOVE with these cutting files! The farm critters just crack me up and especially this chicken! I used a card base from the Silhouette Store and layered the frame with several layers to make it nice and thick :) I had so much fun piecing everything together! For my cute little farmer boy, I used a face from Peachy Keen's, January's 2014 stamp club kit. I also added some pop dots underneath him to add some dimension. I love this sentiment and if you knew my neighbor this card fits her PERFECT and I know she will love it since she was raised on a farm! I may even have to bake a little something special to send over with it hee hee!! Here's a view from the side....

For my next card, I used another card base from the Silhouette store which I think it's called a tent card? The background chicken wire is a background stamp from MCT called, Spring Chicken. I used my StarDust jellyroll pen to give it some sparkle. The chicken is from the Farm Critters cutting files (OMG! Isn't he just the cutest!) The little baby chicks are from the Cute Chicks cutting file. I love how cute they look all shrunk down :) The hay is from the On The Farm cutting files. I used a die by MCT called Square Stitched Goody to stamp the sentiment Just Hatched on.

Here is a side view of my card....

These cutting files and the stamp set I chose work so PERFECT together!! Now for the prize details! Up for grabs is a $20 gift card to Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons and $20 gift card to My Craft Spot! MCT Whatever Wednesday!

Hey ya'll! This is my second post today if you are looking for my PPPR Design Team Wednesday project click HERE! Also, if you click my picture above you probably can see it better! I had a hard time getting a decent picture of my tag and decided to surrender and just go with this one lol!!

Today is Whatever Wednesday at My Creative Time! I've been wanting to make some sort of shaker for a long time! Yes, I'm going to admit it...I was skeered!!! So, I started with baby steps and made this tag! I did have to perform a little surgery on it but all in all I'm pretty pleased with it hee hee! I started out by using one of the tags in the Tag die set. I then used the Stitched Restroom Peep dies and ran it back through my Grand Calibur. Before I started to do the shaker part I wanted to stamp my sentiments. The top sentiment is from the Home Sewn stamp set. I wanted it to curve so I achieved this by curving it on my block before I stamped (I was a little off with my curve). The bottom sentiment is from the stamp set, Many Greetings. After I assembled the shaker part, I used the small heart from the Stitched Sweethearts & XOXO die set and glued it in the center.

These are really fun to make! I will definitely start looking at things a little different now to see if it can be turned into a shaker hee hee! I hope you all have a wonderful day and thanks for stopping by!

PPPR Design Team Wednesday!

Hey! It seems like FOREVER since I've posted anything :( I have been fighting pneumonia now for the second go around :( I swear I'm so ready for warmer weather and hopefully that means NO MORE being sick lol! This winter has definitely not been good for me and I'm sure you have heard the expression I'm SICK of being SICK!!! Well, that's me, I've had enough!

It was hard getting my Mojo back but I do have to say it was fun getting in here and playing! I've been wanting to try a shaker card for quite some time so I decided to give it a whirl hee hee. I've used the cute little duck from the Little Duckling cutting files. I turned the flower into the shaker by cutting a circle using one of my SU circle punches. I've not got a lot of supplies to make the shakers so here I filled it using coffee :) I think it worked and it smelled good too! It shakes!! The grass is a die by MCT, Stitched Grass. The sentiment is also by MCT called Color Me Happy. It's hard to tell in the photo but I did sponge (very lightly) some blue for the sky you just can't see it here :(

Be sure to visit the PPPR's Blog to see what the other designers made for our Design Team day! I hope you all have a AWESOME Wednesday! Hugs, Leanne

The sentiment I created using several of MCT's stamp sets and of course I forgot to write it down and now I can't remember (sorry) :( I also forgot to add I added some Liquid Glass to the eyes and some pop dots to Harry for dimension.
